Nice to watch her cook and see her image. People like me who love to cook sure do miss her. She was definitely a sweetheart and will live on in our hearts. Thank you to her family for keeping her image on there for us to go back to
Watching in March 2020 with tears. This is a place of peace I can go to when I want to forget the current affairs of this world. It gives me peace and joy to know I will visit with Miss Phyllis in heaven one day.
I’m laying in bed tonight it’s not been a great year nor day . It’s October 28 2020 And I am watching Miss Phylis cook for a Christmas party . I miss her she and Mr. Bucky sure bright comfort and joy to me over the years!! My Mom and My Granddaughter joined them in Heaven too soon this year ! God Bless our Angels in Heaven!!
Awwww it’s sooo good to look at this again from a year ago I guess. But all was a normal and peaceful routine. God bless you Mrs Phyllis....and sweet Mr. Bucky out ran us to heavens glory.
Oh I miss you so much. And I miss your husband's Bible studies. I'm excited to know we will meet again. I bet you guys and my mkm & dad are having a wanderful time. Much love to you and yours. Merry Christmas to your family.
Sweet Phyllis, I’ll be making your chocolate covered cherries for Christmas this year. My heart goes out to you. I can only imagine how difficult a time you’re having. Please take comfort in knowing so many, many people love you and are lifting you up to Father in prayer. May peace be abundantly yours.
Janice, I agree with you. So generous to put so much of effort into making something for someone else although one cannot personally eat the cherries for health reasons. Indeed a very gracious and loving heart. May God Bless her.
You have the patience of a Saint. I bet you are one of the best cooks. Your family is so blessed to gave you and I love you. Thank you for the recipe and demonstration.
I used to make these many years ago for my uncle for christmas - I think the recipe was the same for the coating. The big difference was you drained the cherries and replaced the liquid with bourbon and marinated in the fridge for 2-4 weeks - then drain the bourbon, use it in a cherry old fashion! - and proceed as you did. He loved them and so did most of the family. Thanks for a great memory - I wish you and Mr. Bucky a merry Christmas and a happy HEALTHY New Year! Thank you .
Boy I bet after a few of those , you could say the cherry had you! Had a great Aunt who back in the day would give my brother & I a box of these @ Christmas she was extremely limited in funds,(might have been 39 cents) for a long time I didn't eat them. But have matured since then
My thoughts are with you Phyllis at this time of year. Your first Christmas without Mr. Bucky. Please take time for yourself and do something special. Praying that you have a joyous Christmas and that God's peace flood your heart and home. Much love in Christ from Canada.
A friend of mine makes candy every Christmas and today was the day.....we made chocolate covered cherries, chocolate covered blueberries and peanut butter cup......Merry Christmas.....Laurie
I am so thankful you post this video, I have never tried them before and wanted to fix them for my brother it's his favorite candy. If you want to spread the joy around don't forget your mail carrier. I am a retired mail carrier and after all the heavy Christmas deliveries. It's such a blessing to find nice treats in the mailbox. Merry Christmas to you, Mr Bucky and the fur babies
Just found your website and I dearly love to listen and watch you teach on how to make different things I feel like I'm right there in the kitchen with you!!!!
I so loved going back watching her do this video. I new she made these and I just wanted to watch her. Such an adorable lady. Miss them just like my on parents. Wish I had this many videos of my mom and dad.
Praying your doing well and treatments are working. God Bless you Miss Phyllis. May you have a Happy and Blessed Christmas. Hope to see you on UA-cam soon.
How sweet and special of a video. I feel blessed that it came up on my phone for me to see. I am going to make her recipe for Chocolate Cherries this Christmas. I watched a candy company's video, but they didn't add the butter or corn syrup. I know these ones will be even better. May God comfort us all at the loss of our loves ones. Cherish your memories of them. 🙏😔🎄
One of your funniest posts was the conversation you had with Mr. Bucky about the Whitmans Sampler. You could post that every Christmas and I would laugh every time. Thank you for the recipe...I love cherries.
Blessing to you and your entire family Phyllis. Thank you for another amazing year of cooking, stories, and the dogs! It has been a hoot! Looking for many more good times with you and Mr. Bucky and the pups. Wishing you good health and much happiness always! ☺️🙏🕊🌲
my husband loves chocolate covered cherries.i will use the recipe and have him an unexpected homemade treat for christmas.phyllis-as i was getting his dinner ready when he came in from work-he was watching your video about the neg comments that i had been watching.he said to me that you were that salt of the earth and i agree.hope you and mr bucky and those cute dogs have a very happy christmas and a blessed new year from friends here in macon,ga!!! i cannot explain how much i enjoy these blogs-in the last year i had to retire early after working 30 yrs in the health care field and these tutorials have been so good for me-god bless you for them!!!we have a cavachon dog "dallas" that is our baby along with many grandchildren
Miss Phyllis, you are the neatest person. I enjoy your videos so much and I have learned so much from you. You are such a blessing. Thank you. Merry Christmas to you and Mr. Bucky.
Phyllis, Thanks for the lesson on how to make chocolate covered cherries. A labor of love no doubt! The patience of Job is required. Christmas blessings to you and Mr. Bucky and you family and fur babies!
Phyliss, praying that you are better and having a good December. I cherish your recipes that I have placed in a favorite cookbook. Merry Christmas to you and you family. You are loved by people you don't even know.❤️
Brings back memories of making Christmas candy with my Aunt Gladys. She would make two separate batches, one for minors and one for adults. The adult batch had Brandy added to the White filling.
I’ve watched a bunch of fancy smancy videos and I’ve learned more from you than them! Thank you! My first chocolate covered cherry experience. My husband always gets them ( in a box from the store) for Christmas and his birthday. I love them too! The freezer tip and dipping again to cover the bottom? Golden! So helpful, thanks again!
Phyllis I just made this same recipe last Friday 12/14. I also had a jar of small cherries that stated it contained 30, so I halved the butter, corn syrup, sugar mixture. It turned out the jar had 42 cherries, so I had to make more covering. I covered mine with dark chips melted in the microwave, didn't add oil and it turned out fine. It is very time consuming, but I enjoy fussing over Christmas candy. They are very good!
Hi Ms Phyllis! These chocolate-covered cherries not only look delicious but they bring back memories of making them with my grandmother. She always made them each Christmas and had things set up so her grandchildren could help! It was always a special time with her! Thanks for sharing the recipe and for another video, Ms Phyllis! Sending best wishes to you and Mr Bucky for a Merry Christmas!!
Marry Christmas and happy new years. I want to thank you for your video's i have had a ruff year, and i can just play your videos and you help me relax so much. Your voice just is so relaxing . my husband starts to play your video's when i get to stressed. God bless you thank you for all you do 🎄🎆💜
Thank you Phyllis! Cherry chocolates were my late moms favorite Christmas candy. She would have loved your homemade ones! Am going to do a little Christmas baking with my 2 grandkids this week, and will definitely be adding these. Merry Christmas to you and yours 💖
Hi Phyllis! Its so good to see you again! You've been thru so much! You've been missed by so many people! Wishing you lots of joy and peace during this Holiday season! xoxox ❤🌲❤🌲❤🌲❤🌲❤
Ohhh these look so good. 🍫 🍒 I just love your videos, Phyllis. You are like a good friend after all these years of watching you. Can you believe here in Michigan we have no snow yet? Might be the first time in over a decade we won’t have a white Christmas. I’m not complaining. The warmer weather is nice. Hope you and Mr. Bucky are having a wonderful holiday season.🎄❤️🌟
I couldn't wait, I made a batch and I'll find out later I guess how they are, I had a little chocolate left so I dipped some plan cherries without the cream coating, I'm so excited, thank you again.
Sometime I cry about Phyllis,I miss her sooo much ,alit of good memories of my favorite coik, but Steven is doing a great job Phyllis RIP with Mr. Bucky!! xoxoxo
Yes!!! Thank you sooo much MS Phyliss!! I'll be going on the hospital Wednesday morning, should be out Sunday, I hope I can make these!! Or pass them to someone who will!! Merry Christmas and lots of love to you all!! 🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅
This was my late grandpa’s favorite dessert during the Christmas holiday. He would actually only eat the chocolate and the gooey sugar stuff between the chocolate and the cherry and throw the cherry out lol I miss him
@@verawol3111 without the cherries, I don't think it'll make the goo. From my understanding, the juice in the cherries is what's needed, in order for the goo part to make.
Wow, great video. Phyllis now I know what to do with my small crock pot. What a great idea melting chocolate in it. Your the best. Merry Christmas to you both. God bless. You Rock.
Love chocolate covered cherries. I found an easier recipe where you put the cherries in a bowl and add icing sugar and roll the cherries around so the sugar coats them like snowballs. As the juice leaks out, add more sugar and maybe a little extra juice so the sugar coats them more, then double dip in tempered chocolate. The icing sugar around the cherries makes the liquid inside the chocolate
I did that recipe last week after watching that same video. That was a boutique candy company somewhere in New York and they said that was their best selling candy if I remember correctly. They were good like that..... mine leaked horribly though. Those folks said they always double dip the entire chocolate ball for that very reason. I'm very glad that Phyllis showed us that we could use the Hershey chocolate bars. Those darn chips gave me a real bad time too.
Miss Phyliss, I was just thinking you might have a new video today, and you did. My wife had surgery last Tuesday, so I have been real busy with her and the housekeeping. She has been a demanding patient, lol. This is her favorite candy, so I might try this. I have never seen anyone make these at home. I hope you and Mr Bucky have a very nice Christmas. I hope some of your kids and grandkids can make it home to that big beautiful home of yours. God bless you and yours.
I'm not a Cherrie fan but, my other love chocolate covered cherries. He'd love this for sure. Yes, hersey candy bar is the best for melting. That's what I've used for years when I made my Reeses peanut butter cups. Used hersey bar to melt and put on top. I discovered chocolate chips are not ment or for me to melt very good. I like the crock pot idea to melt chocolate. Great idea.
Wonderful seeing Phyllis cooking. I miss her so much. So glad to be able to see her videos again.
Miss this sweet lady’s calm and soothing voice...
