I've made these with my mama since I was little, I'm now 51 years old, we also used the same "dough" and added peppermint flavoring to it and covered them with chocolate for our own peppermint patties at Christmas 🎄
I just found you. All I can say is yummy! I enjoyed your class. The cream cheese is great. I have used butter but butter takes over the flavor. Thank you Texas
Can't wait to try this recipe!!!! I do have a question.... since you make it with cream cheese is it safe not to have in fridge? Cream cheese usually has to be refrigerated. Thank you:)
Thanks for your great tutorial. I lived in kentucky boarder .My kiddos are all grown now and i usually made finecrochet and clothes for them all. As a granny im now also making sweeties for them. Thats the Irish term for candy. I also do a more private job to help mamas and dadas soo my hobbies help me to enjoy my grandbabas even more. Just a few sweeties for treats. Love from Ireland. Miss you all over tgere 💕
I just made my first ever chocolate covered cherries. Your recipe looked extra delicious with the cream cheese. I will have to try making them! Thanks for your video. I am an artist and country cook. People love getting homemade baked goods and candy as Christmas gifts. Hope others try making these after watching your video. They take time to make, but worth the effort.
I am going to try this on pitted cherries from our garden that have been marinated in alcohol and some sugar. 🍒Thank you for this recipe and for a great video. Greetings from Sweden! 🇸🇪
Thank you so much for the recipe. My mom and me love the ones from the store and we've been wondering if there was a recipe. My mom told me my aunt had made them before for her baby shower, and she never knew how. My mom always baked but she didn't make candy at all. I feel like this would be so fun and they would turn out amazing
Surely do wsth you had told how long it takes for the cherries to liquefy and also wish you had shown and cut one open after it had set long enough! These look good!
To be sure I'm getting this right. I don't put the choc. covered cherries in the fridge until after the 7 days? Then after the 7 days I refrigerate to store them? Or can they be stored at room temperature the whole time? Please respond!
I did comment earlier but thought I would say/ask here. Cream cheese is usually not safe after a few hours not refrigerated. How does this not apply here? Just super curious and want to be safe giving to family and friends. Is it because it's sealed in chocolate?! I'm such a worry wort when it comes to food safety...sorry 😂😂 @vintagetochic
I love this recipe, but I want your peanut butter ball recipe!
Pajamas are the best to wear when you’re cleaning, or a big kitchen project like this one. 😃

Wow! Thx! Love the technique of just rolling the balls on top of the chocolate instead of dipping 🤩👏🏻

Would love to see you make Maple nut and “Mallows”. But I will also try the Cherry ones.

Please give us more candy recipes
I made mine with butter and confectioners sugar ,cherry extract and a lil bit of an enzyme that with convert the sugar to liquid in a couple weeks.
Invertase!
That's it,I forgot the name Thank you
Wonderful! Thank you for sharing this!
Our pleasure!
Could you please do a video on making mallow cups, and these cherries look delicious
Have made one.visit my page, Facebook.com/vintage to chic. Will have here soon.
Love the video!
1 8oz cream cheese. About 2# confectionery sugar. This will cover about 100 cherries.
After the 7 days do you keep them out or put in fridge. When you make the peppermint patties do they go liquidity too
do not have to refrigerate, no the peppermint patty will not liquify, it is the mix with the cherry juice.
Yum
Does the cream cheese and sugar become like a fondant - clear liquid?
yes it does
Gotta try this recipe. How can I store unused dough?
And how long does it take for the centers to liquefy?
In a Ziplock bag and refrigerate.
Cherries take about 7 days

If the waffwers aren't available, Can we use milk chocolate chips or chocolate almond bark to dip cherries?

you do not have to refrigerate at all. be sure your cream cheese has a good exp. date, usually a couple months out.
