I grew up in Lynden and 5 minutes into your video I had to chuckle. You said you were standing at Main St.
You were on Front St. Main St. is on the north side of Lynden.

I realized that after the video went to editing🤣. I lived in Lynden from 2000 to 2016 and you’d think I would have remembered that!

Fun facts about Lynden while I grew up...
    1) Once held the record for most churches per capita.
    2) Graveyard shared the same land as the meat packing company.
    3) Only bar in town was directly across the street from city hall.
    4) Only liquor store and only ice cream shop shared the same building.
    5) Only liquor store was right next door to the post office. Made all the more fun during the "going postal" craze of the early 90s.

All great facts! A few other facts I heard but could never confirm…
      1) Red front doors are highly frowned upon.
      2) If your grass was too long, the city would cut it and send you the bill.

      1) Absolutely. Red doors were a BIG no-no back in the 80s/90s.
      2) Again Absolutely. It happened to my grandparents twice. Both times during the summer. As my Grandpa (Indigenous) explained:
It's too hot for me. Paying for the white man to do it is worth every penny

the town with no alcohol sales on Sunday and the entire town acts like one big HOA, can't let that grass grow too high you know! and just last year after many many decades they finally allowed the county fair to run on a Sunday, with church service provided of course.

Bro what? That alcohol sale on Sunday rule hasn’t been a thing for years and years. The fair has been open on Sundays for years with an optional church service, it’s not a mandatory thing you know. You’re actually mad at that?😂Lynden looks so nice because people care about their property, the city doesn’t enforce anything. You must have such a boring life if everything you complain about is a giant nothing burger. Good luck hope you learned something👍

Also yes when the grass grows to high it looks like shit😂knowing Lynden someone is going to go mow it for you before the city gives a shit. You definitely live in Bellingham and step in homeless shit every morning😂

So you think houses are better than "just farm land". Only if you don't need to eat.
