- In this video Abbotsford realtor Conor Kelly aka "thatagentkelly" will go over the 5 things he wish he knew before moving to Abbotsford BC.
Abbotsford is overall an amazing place to live and would recommend it but there are some things you should know before moving to the city, especially if you are from out of the province.
Demographics of neighbourhoods, travel times, pros and cons, etc etc.
So thanks again for watching and I hope you find this useful.

Thanks for putting out these videos. Planning to move there in September from grande Prairie AB. I’ve had enough of the -40 to -50 winters.
I don’t blame you my friend 😂😂. My pleasure and thanks for watching! Let me know if I can help!
You will miss the Sunshine though.
Like you I was born at Surrey Memorial and lived in Surrey most of my life and like you, didn't think it was that bad. I actually moved to Abbotsford last September and yes; traffic is THE WORST!!
No way! Yeah unfortunately i have to agree 🤦♂️🤦♂️
That smoke thing is basically a western Canada thing. Gotta love it.
New subscriber here from Jamaica 🇯🇲
Love it. Thanks my friend!! 👊👊
The things that grow on cow poop makes me feel good. Also need to watch out for old people walking in the middle of the streets. Big issue for me.
Thanks for the great video. I was planning on doing flight training at BC Helicopters in Abbotsford and living there for probably 6 months. Coming from Ireland I'm well used to rain and crime, sounds like Dublin. I'll feel at home lol
😂😂. The crime isn’t so bad, the forest fire smoke is probably for about 2-3 weeks of the year.
My dad is from Belfast, I just got my citizenship in Ireland
@thatagentkelly BC looks like a beautiful part of the country. We're lucky to see snow maybe 3 days a year. Luckily no forest fires here.
Can't go outside at night for 20 damn minutes outside the protection of a vehicle without some punks trying to jump you
Hello from Pakistan, your new subscriber. Also planning to come Abbotsford in the university of Fraser valley in next Intake 😊
Amazing. Thanks for subscribing my friend! Hope you like it here 🙏🙏
Thank you for your video. I am planning to move to Abbotsford from Oakville, Ontario with my family. Could you please recommend a neighborhood to move in with a teen? In Oakville, I've never heard of youth doing drug and crimes, and I am very concerned. By the way, do you have any other recommendable city outside of Metro Vancouver? ( I am a temporary resident, and for the better PR opportunities, I prefer living outside of Metro Vancouver). Do you only work with a home buyer or renter as well?
Nice video. I am from Ukraine and planing to move to Abbotsford in the end of this month, I have been living in Mission for three month more than 10 years ago and I have visited Abby for few times. Don't know if something is really changed in the city up to this days.
Thanks Andriy! I love Abbotsford, Mission is great but Abbotsford is definitely a step up in my opinion 🙂
hey man , great video!..i'm moving to abbotsford too in september 2023 for studies. anything you'd like to highlight?? would be wonderful.
Thanks brother! Not too much that isn’t in this video or in other videos on my channel. If you’re going to the university of the Fraser valley you’ll want to be in centeal abbotsford or poplar (south abbotsford) 🙂
There are some great restaurants, but Abbotsford still needs a really good Mexican restaurant. (And no, El Companeros doesn't qualify).
What about La Reina?
@@thatagentkelly I actually have not tried, but the reviews seem mixed. The owner seems a tad immature based on his responses to critical reviews.
Nice Video
Actually, the cow poo smell isn't as bad as it used to be and definitely not as bad as Chilliwack.
Agreed 🤣
Bro you said that there are no violent crimes in the city but you also said that there is drugs
Correct
How are mosquitoes in the summer?
They’re not bad I’d say
Suggest better place to live near Vancouver.
Coquitlams decent and not too pricey
Or Willoughby heights in Langley because it’s right beside the highway
Clearbrook is not good for raise family 😢
The only nice part is east abby
Homelessness is considered a crime there? That seems sad and a bit unfair
Homelessness leads to crime because people are trying to survive and they do what they got to do. It's not looking down on someone being homeless it just leads to increased theft as a whole. You generally don't see accountants living in a nice one bedroom breaking into cars.
