If you do this again, the front VW badge pops out from the grille! That way you won't have to worry about any overspray or trying to get all the angles evenly while it's still on the car.

No hate but I really dislike a blacked out VW badge in the rear. Looks like a black circle. You need to buy a white pice for the center. And the front emblem you can twist it off and dip it off the car. Or buy a new one cost about 15$
For my I have the facelift GLI so my front emblem won't come off the same way. I am going for a OEM + build so I plan to GTI swap my seats and and keep the silver.
Ya, to each there own. That’s why I do so many different things to my car. So people can see the things that they may or may not like.
FrankieGisMe cool build regardless. GLI is a fun car I love sadans and wagons haha.
But the GLI is not an expensive car, hence the chrome. I do hope VW offers one day a blackout package. Think Audi RS3.
Hahah I knew someone was gonna say that. My point was that chrome makes every car look cheaper, including my cost effective VW. All car makers should offer the black out package. They see their customers to all the time. Why not offer it. Who knows 🤷🏻♂️ thank you always watching 👍🏼
FrankieGisMe 2018 Sport comes blacked out. Spoiler, roof, wheels and grille. So hopefully that’s a step in the right direction!!

Why would you not take off the grill?? its like 4 bolts...
The grill also has 6 plastic clips holding it to the bumper that can break easily. Better to just mask they area because I would’ve still had to mask the grill even when removed

That looks àwëšømę dood! Instead of having to put tape on the inside of the VW emblem you could probably put the tape on the other side closest to the radiator behind the logo. Great vid dood!

Those headlights you have on... Are they only meant for the Halogens or can Bixenon work too?
I currently have LED bulbs but I used to have bi-xenon bulbs. As far as I’m aware, they work with any D2S style bulbs.
