I don't entirely understand the last question. It was specified that this was literacy skills that can contribute to the overall academic performance. Literacy specifications were mentioned twice in comparison to the once mentioned "overall academics." For this reason, I chose answer choice D as it was the only one that mentioned both reading and writing (the two elements of literacy). Was this just a really good distractor? How do I make sure I put enough weight on the correct word phrases besides quantifying them?
It seems like these questions require incredibly careful reading. A single word of the question can be the difference between a right or wrong answer...
They are designed to ensure the test-taker reads the questions and answers thoroughly, follows directions, and pays attention to details. Always watch out for the "which of the following answers is NOT..." or "DOES NOT" scenarios.
