Tourette's syndrome is a neurological condition and disability which causes involuntary movements called tics. I use my platforms on social media such as TikTok, UA-cam and Instagram to advocate and raise awareness for the condition and show what it is like living with a disability as a teen in school.
My name is Zara Beth (zeezee25 on tiktok) and I post videos about tics, tic disorders and what its like to be a teen living with Tourette's syndrome, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and a seizure disorder (NEAD/NES).
I show what its like having tics and Tourettes in class and in school and college, vlog, and I also bake, do other challenges and answer all your questions in Q and A videos.
I am also an ambulatory wheelchair user so I show what life looks like using various mobility aids and how needs change from day to day!
I am also a musician! My newest release is my first single (original song) called "She's Mine" which is now available on all streaming services - I sing and play piano, guitar, ukulele and I write, produce, mix and master all my own songs and content myself! - Розваги

I love how calmly u took this and just knew what to do right away.
I'm glad more and more ppl are showing this side of things to raise awareness.
I'm hoping more folks become compassionate and helpful for when someone around them goes through these (depending on their unique condition of course it will vary).
It would've helped me in so many scenarios if others didn't stare, whisper and turn a blind eye when it happens to me too.
So much love 💚
I don't think every time someone turns a blind eye it's meant to be malicious or rude. People are conditioned to believe looking away from disabled people is respectful, so they don't think they're staring at them. Not that I disagree with you, though! I'm just giving a different perspective.
@@roahthecow yes, however as many in these very comments have shown many people also just outright don't want to see disabled people and don't really care about their wellbeing. Also the "turn a blind eye" thing probably also means ignores helping someone they see struggling.
It is important to consider that people might just be uneducated or misinformed, and to help correct their misunderstandings, though.
@@orbismworldbuilding8428 Or it might just be none of their business.
Don't expect the world to cater to your unknown disabilities.
It's up to you to adapt.
@@Lewiss7423 the whole purpose of having a civilization or society in the first place is to have structured mutual benefit to as many people as possible.
If you want to be selfish, then you shouldn't be part of a society. But it would be against the purpose of society to outcast anyone regardless of their self-interest, laziness, or etc.
Some of the earliest species you could even vaguely consider to be "human" took the best possible care of their sick, elderly, children and disabled with what they had. We have so much more availiable both collectively and individually than those pre-humans ever did, and yet they were more civil in that way than many modern humans who comparatively have more than they could ever imagine.
@@Lewiss7423 also this is why disability awareness and things like pins or lanyards are important, because without them then people won't know that person might need help.
However, disabilities come with stigma, and so the disability has to be normalized and de-stigmatized first through education, and once that is done it is easier to make accomodations.
It isn't catering at all, infact people with no disabilities have everything built around them, and disabled people are lucky if they get any sort of accomodations, when in a modernized society the closest possible thing to equal access should be prioritized at all times.
I have never seen strength like yours in too many people, very impressive, stay the path
why does something like that happen?

Glad you found somewhere safe. I don’t think I ever considered the changing rooms, though I don’t have any Auras nor do I know it’s coming before waking up on the ground somewhere. (I have POTS, Dysautomia & PNES among many other issues pre & post stroke) My 2 scariest episodes were #1) was at a theme park with family & friends where I was using an electric scooter & ran into a wall at full speed, stayed passed out for 19 mins, awake for 4 mins & back out again for 22 mins (it literally took that long for fire/EMS to get to me) which was then followed by back to back grand mail seizures where I accidentally broke a firefighters hand & severely bruised another’s nether region (both ends up in the ER with me unfortunately) #2) was at a water park. Felt like a little off while in the deep end of a wave pool & on our way out, I collapsed directly under a lifeguard & my hubby & son were keeping me above the water. The pool was immediately shut down & apparently 20ish lifeguards jumped in, kept me floating until the could get me on a stretcher. I came out of the pool completely limp & my son heard several guests say “she’s dead” & a couple who laughed saying that they would’ve died too if they were wearing my swimsuit. Haven’t been back to either location since these events happened a couple years ago. Even though you were behind closed doors, in a dressing room, I do hope the staff at the store (or anyone for that matter) noticed how long you were inside & at least asked if you were ok because not everyone is. (& thanks for the changing room tip, I’ll keep it in mind if needed)
I'm so sorry about the rude comments you got. You really don't deserve them, I'm so sorry about your condition 😔

Thats really f'd up that people would laugh if they literally saw what could have been a dead person just pulled out of the pool they were at. Let alone make such horrendous comments about you in earshot of your family?! Absolute sickos
Super relatable- I think my problem is hypoglycemia, if you ever feel super exhausted and your vision starts blurring, SIT DOWN. Drink something, or eat something like bread. If you keep walking, you will pass out. It can even happen if you just overwork yourself and forget to eat. When I get sick it happens even more. Remember to eat before going on a walk or somewhere, or just make sure you have a snack handy for if anything happens. You never know when it will happen to you, it can happen to anyone.
YES so relatable. Having hypoglycemia, I always have to bring a snack with sugar or something to boost my glucose wherever I go. For me, I can even feel dizzy from the heat in the shower and feel my head spin and vision blur. It’s no joke and it’s scary because I could faint while standing so it’s always best it sit down as fast as you can if you can’t get anything to eat or drink at the moment.
Might also be a good idea to get a medical alert bracelet, so if you pass out without warning/before you can manage to eat something, hopefully someone can help in time. If nothing else, they'll be able to call medical services and get instructions on how to help out quicker and more efficiently if they know what (possibly) the issue is
@@raerohan4241 The only thing with that is, a lot of times you’re confused when it happens. I asked about getting it checked out but they said I’d have to go there when it’s happening, which is kind of impossible considering I never know and I already know how to treat it. It happens a lot of time when I’m anxious, but yeah it can just simply happen from exhaustion to anyone. My bf never had any problems ever, except one day he forgot to eat before work. We went upstairs after making something to eat and we made it up the stairs and he just fell over. It can quite literally happen to anyone at any time due to many different reasons. That’s the problem in diagnosing.
@@rubiksmaster4849 Omg me too, I relate too much with the hot water. Everyone I’m with always likes hot water but I literally get irritable and dizzy and they just tell me “get used to it” lolol
Just make sure your sitting on the floor, this way if you do faint and fall, you don’t hit your head too hard!! People always sit in chairs and end up falling over and leaving a huge cut on their heads
Wow, you impress me so much. I have nothing but a lack of confidence, and I haven't left my house for fun in at least 2-3 years. Here you are going into public and continuing to live your life and hold your head high, no matter what happens never stop being you!!! (:
The worst is when you don't have time to find a safe spot and gave to just get on the floor. It's even worse when the people around you get pissy and act like you're the world's biggest inconvenience just because you're sitting. I hate it.
Your so brave. I’m glad that you could find somewhere that you were able to faint safely. Stay well :)
You’re*
How do you know or what do you feel when you are about to faint? I think it's amazing that you've learned how to identify this situation to prevent yourself from getting hurt.
You get a wave of dizziness, nausea get sweaty ect. It's pretty easy to tell if you fainted before, but it's different for everyone! So keep hydrated and blood sugar up!
I know when I feel like I'm dreaming. Then the dizziness, the nausea, clammy hands, and my heart rate is always 160-190.
For me when I am about to faint I get dizzy or lightheaded and then right before I pass out I can’t hear anything and then can’t see a few seconds before. Hope this helped
@@L0s3r135 similar it nearly happened to me twice
there are 2 different combo types for me:
1) feeling distant/confused and foggy minded + weak legs that feel like they could fail at any time + maybe a mild headache(feeling as if I’m in bright light and have been squinting a lot). I did this at the onset of the flu, thankfully my mom was right next to me or I wouldve done a faceplant 😭
2) light *buzzing sensation* in the center of my forehead + sudden and temporary loss of vision (black spots, tunnel vision, etc). This is usually right after I stand up too fast or the day after a surgery because my blood pressure is lower (that’s why I faint a lot)
The second type is a lot easier to notice as it’s a distinctive physical sensation in my head, i literally can’t see, and my mind is more aware of its symptoms (in type 1 i usually zone out and it’s hard to be aware of my symptoms when I feel zombie-like lol)
In combo #2 I usually lean against a wall or smth to know where I am (I cant fkin see at this point) and regain my balance, but if I dont find somewhere to sit and put my head between my legs, I just drop like a sack of potatoes.
Zara, you are so amazing and you’re so wonderful and strong going through life’s obstacles . You are so awesome and inspiring

Honestly forced to admire you and your mental strenght to go threw life like that. Respect and much love on you 🐢
I have a seizure disorder and when I feel an aura when I'm in public I panic to find a "safe spot" incase I pass out and seize. I'm so used to it happening that I don't stress about the actual seizure but I absolutely *hate* having a bunch of people gather around me, asking if I'm ok, insisting on calling an abulance. When I regain conciousness with people around, the first thing I say is "I have a seizure disorder. I'm ok. I need to sit for a minute and then I'll be fine."

I also have a fainting problem. Whenever you feel any type of fainting or dizziness SIT DOWN, make sure to take off any out clothing like jackets that could cause u to over heat and get in a cool area as overheated and dehydration could be the problem. Make sure someone knows that you are going to faint, and try and eat+drink what you can to prevent fainting. Hope this helps ❤️❤️‼️
I have vasovagal syncope and faint at the sight or mention of blood. It’s happened multiple times before so I know the feeling of fainting. My heart rate increases, I go really pale, my breathing becomes really fast and I shake really bad. Luckily people around me know abt it so as soon as they see any of those symptoms they go and get help quickly. Glad I’m not alone and stay strong guys ❤
Me too! Had an episode today because I ate just a little too much for lunch and got too excited in a store. I’m always worried I’m going to throw up… Fingers went numb but I didn’t go down, so that’s a win. 👍
I dont have any conditions that i know of but sometimes i feel like a diabetic cause i will feel super fatigued, dizzy and my heart beats faster until i drink something sweet. Unfortunately my dad refuses to take me to the doctor bc he dont have time and also he says that its just bcs im dehydrated.

I have vasovagal syncope too and it took YEARS for my doctors to diagnose me with it. it's hell to live like this. especially when there's no cure and in my case, it's impossible to stop the episode. it's so scary. I have been in situations where I've fallen and hit my head really bad, where I've been out like 45 minutes. it's so so tiring. sometimes I feel like I can't do it anymore.
The fact that you can live with this is incredible
It’s so amazing how your able to manage this and not let it wreck you life you are incredibly strong , keep doing what your doing!
Hey! As a fellow POTS head, I just want to encourage you and say that recording yourself is the safe thing to do! Also took me years to figure out, but it’s actually better to not eat something this when you are feeling faint, since that will make the blood go to your digestive system. Instead carry salt pills, gaterade/Powerade/something with electrolytes, and/or salt packets that you can find from the store. Gets you the salt your missing without triggering the blood flow
I'm sorry you have to go through this x
i dont think she wants people to pitty her
For a second I thought you said “this is the part where I pass away“ lol 😂
I would genuinely want to have this for a week and see what she goes through I bet it was super hard to adjust too and so hard to deal with especially in public and I love how she shows us all that it is manageable and brings awareness
WHY DID I READ FARTING IN THE SHOPS 😭😭😭
I read farting while shopping 💀
I feel so bad, but I’m glad you were able to find somewhere safe I hope you feel better now ❤
The dancing at the end made me smile❤
I was shopping with my mum when I could tell I was going to collapse so I sat on the ground near the check out counters and took the bottled water on the scanner until I my head wasn’t heavy. We paid for it after and she was understanding enough to know I was lightheaded. She knows I don’t drink enough water. If I was by myself, I’m not sure if I would be too embarrassed to sit on the ground until I eventually fainted. It’s something you don’t think about, but should, especially when you have less than a bottle a day
Sometimes I dont drink enough water and other times i drink too much and both times it always makes me feel light headed and about to faint. like one time i was in PE in the sun and it was like 39 degrees and everyone else was in the shade but i was to lightheaded to move so i fainted
@@SauceyBurger47 careful, especially in that heat. Being in Australia, it’s always hot. Tons of water taken by a long period would be good I think? As long as you aren’t fainting 😭
@@pheonixangel_ yeh Australia is to hot in summer ecspecially in the NT. I dont live in northern territory but I've been quite a few times and its so hot
I remember I was at school and it was second to last period and I felt really tired, and then I started shaking uncontrollably and I felt cold and I just couldn’t stop shaking and I was sweating like crazy, and I just remember going home and feeling so tired, and then felt so much better after having a juice box. I didn’t notice that my blood sugar was low, and it was the first time something like that has happened.
I admire your strength to have to deal with all that is going on in your life.
Your fainting episodes are so calm compared to the ones I have. I have fainting seizures and I’m exhausted after coming out of them and have a hard time remembering things the rest of the day that I can’t finish my daily routines.
oh my god I could never stay so calm like you did. I have fainting episodes like these all the time, and with my extreme anxiety I could never just sit there calmly I'd be so afraid of what could happen to me (which makes my state worse). you're so brave, especially cause you were by yourself. take care of yourself love.

Girl you're so strong, working through this struggle while making the most of your life. So awesome!
I'm feeling this today. I was so close to fainting in the shop today but made it to the checkouts. Just five more minutes until I could be sat in the car safely. I was praying that my body would let me. I had been drinking a semi-sweet drink (I can't have high sugar) all the way around the store to try to prevent it. The swaying and wobbly knees were setting in halfway down the escalator. Pleeeeease just let me manage another two minutes body. It did and I made it to the car, so I was at least safe. It didn't actually ease off fully until I was home, but at least I wasn't mid way around a busy supermarket and flat on my back. This stuff sucks!
Can I ask what conditon you have for these symptoms to come? Is it diabetes or fainting spells or something else? Genuinely curious but it's okay if my question is too personal. Thank you for ur time
@@winterso8589 Hi there. The doctors called the condition vertiginous migraine. Basically migraines are on a spectrum and as well as the more usual migraines, mine makes me constantly dizzy. It kind of feels like a mix between standing on a boat in a storm and being stuck in a car for a few days with motion sickness. The fainting is actually quite new to the last year or so, which I need to get checked out, but I seriously think it is the migraine condition. I also have fibromyalgia, so that adds in to it. I also have arthritis in my neck and the little spur on the bone that has come with that, puts a little pressure there and that pushes the dizziness even more.
I do technically have diabetes, type II, but we managed to put it into remission and my body 99% acts like a non diabetic. It rarely impacts me.
Long answer short...a migraine condition lol
