    I’ve literally tried massage therapy, dry needling, chiropractors to get these knots out my neck. I’m pretty sure the knots were caused by my neck tic. I truly believe this video and the exercises will be by far the only thing that I can see working for me. Thank you so much. I’ve had this tic for 4 years and thought I’ve lost hope

      For a while I used to look for solutions outside myself. But ultimately had to learn I and I only can stop this condition. Yes, I can relate to the knots being created from all the ticking. Bringing loving touch back to this part of your body can help, too. Gently messaging your own neck was super helpful for me for a while - to bring awareness, presence and touch back to our own body.

    Recently, over the past week, for some unknown reason, my head just randomly started to snap back.
    It first started a few times during school on the 7th, and just yesterday and today it started becoming very frequent to the point where I can barely go about 10 minutes without one.
    I can barely stop one from happening, and although they don’t hurt, a lot of these can make my neck real tired.
    Edit:
    02/28/2022
    Quick update- I’ve come to understand my tics a lot better recently. For starters, I know my tics are triggered by overwhelming feelings, loud/unexpected noises (will trigger me 2/10 times), and thinking about them. Since the development of my neck tic, I’ve also developed a few more:
    - Shoulder shrugging tic (just shoulders, not my arms)
    - Faces scrunching tic (cheeks, nose, and eyes)
    - Winking tic (alternates between both eyes, but mainly left like what it’s doing rn)
    - Breathing tic (I take quick, sharp inhales through my nose)
    And finally, my hitting tic. This one is special. It’s triggered by one thing and one thing only- bugs. Whenever a bug gets too close to me like a spider or stink bug, I hit the closet thing to me. It’s usually either my palm, wrist, or thigh but I’ve also accidentally hit one of my sisters in the arm and another one on the head. Thankfully neither of them were hit very hard or at least not with as much power as I usually do when I hit myself.
    The whole irony of that tic is that my preferred name is Bee. I tic whenever I’m too close to a bug, but I literally named myself after one. 😂
    I’ve also gotten good at avoiding my tics. Like I said, mine are triggered by thinking about them. My solution to that is simple- spacing out and distracting myself. With ADHD, this task is VERY easy for me, so I’ve been able to avoid major tic attacks very well.
    Rn I am sort of having a tic attack, but it’s only my face tics (hence why I’m able to types this rn)
    Other than that, everything has gotten a lot better. Talking to my friends who have actually been diagnosed with Tourettes has been a huge help, too. They’ve really helped me better understand my condition (No I’m not self diagnosing myself with Tourettes, I’m just saying that since we all deal with motor/action tics, we can all relate to each other in a way)
    That’s all I have to say for now. Hope this update helped!! 😁
    Edit #2:
    04/13/2022
    Just a disclaimer: IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A DIAGNOSIS, ALWAYS LOOK TO GO TO A PROFESSIONAL FIRST!!
    You don’t need a diagnosis, but it’s better than self diagnoses. Self diagnoses can be ok, but please try to avoid that. Your doctor spent many years earning their medical degree. Please trust their judgment. More times than not, they’re much more reliable than what you hear on social media or what you read in an article.
    If you think that you have a certain condition or disorder, bring it up to your parent or guardian and ask them about setting up an appointment to discuss it with your doctor.
    From there, you’ll be able to learn more about what has been affecting you and/or even be prescribed medication to help you cope with it.
    I am not a professional. I can provide my opinions and advise, but I cannot give solid diagnoses.
    Take care of yourselves!!

      To stop it, I just distract myself or let myself space out. My tics are caused by me thinking about them, so it’s my best solution. Suppressing my tics are a last resort. Idk if anyone else feels it, but I can sort of feel the energy build up right before I tic. When my tics show, it’s when I release that energy and just let it take over. When I suppress, it feels like it stays trapped in my body and just floods away. I don’t recommend it because it just means that your tics will just get worse the more you do it, but it’s better to let you know as a last resort.

    Yes! Enrolled in his course and my tics are 95% gone (my tics were pretty bad). The other 5% are very very weak and low in intensity. They will be completely gone by the end of this year, but my quality of life has already been significantly improved, and there's no more embarrassment. Much love to you, my friend!

    I've found in the last year or two that whenever I get a sudden chill, my head will just snap to the side suddenly, oftentimes popping it very loudly in the process. Its never when I'm actively stretching or adjusting, because I do have an existing back injury that affects me all the way up my back and into my shoulders/neck. Only ever with the sudden chill. And it happens so suddenly and is over just as fast as it comes, so I've no clue how to catch it in time to breathe into it, you know? It's over in a matter of a second at most. Idk, it wouldn't bother me so much if it didn't happen so violently, because sometimes I'm worried I'm going to snap my own neck doing it one of these days, but this was really nice to know that I maybe could get it under control someday. Just have to work on my reaction time I guess.

    Feels good to gain back some control of my body. I feel my tics (mostly shoulder blade contracting and shrugging) are most severe around noon time which is right in the heart of the work day. I think that makes sense logically in terms of stress and the mind racing with thoughts from earlier in the day and worries about the present and what lies ahead. I try to take 5-10 mins and close my eyes and take ten deep breaths while holding the tic(s). I'll take about 30 seconds off to see how I feel and the continue 8 breaths, then 6, then 4, all the way to 1. I find this really helps gain back control of my mind body. Thanks for the all the help dazz.

    I only tic when I relax. If I do any form of relaxation exercise it goes completely crazy! I trained to be a laughter therapist through the laughter yoga technique and I was fine for the whole two days until the final exercise when one of the other students decided to end with relaxation - then the whole thing went off like a nightmare! Night time is the worse time for me. Once I sleep I suffer severe tic attacks which wake me up continually. These won't work for me but I like the concept of people working with the idea of helping tics. Everyone can find things which help - even if these don't help you personally.

    • @shl945
      @shl945 2 роки тому

      Responding to Lorraine - Yes if you are really focused or distracted you are using the frontal lobe and less of the amygdala (panic area) and there are usually less tics. So when you are not actively concentrating it makes sense that the panic region can take over again unconsciously and tics pop up. However, it probably would still help to do mini periods of slowed breathing during the day to keep stress etc from building up- which probably then causes the tics once you are not using the frontal lobe so much anymore. I wonder how often he used his breath to reduce tics. Every few minutes? Every 20 mins, every hour or just every time tics surfaced. That info would be helpful. An example is hearing tics as walking along but then when hiking in a bumpy area and having to focus the tics reduce. More blood flow or something in the frontal lobe. However, overall the body would still benefit from frequent slowed breathing during the day to reduce the build up of stress. At least that’s what I think is happening.

    Great information. My daughter 14 years of age has some bad tics. She also has vocal tics. Is there any tips on how to stop vocal tics? She has motor tics like the neck and such which at times makes her have a seisuzes. But all scans and tests show she is not epileptic.

    I don't know if these are tics. But I feel like they are.
    My fingers move very weirdly. They twitch(?) like they're breaking my finger bones. Looks kinda like zombies when they're at it. Kinda creepy. And I notice I have been doing that for at least 4 years now. It's so annoying for me.
    My neck also moved like how you showed in this video. My neck feels uncomfortable and feels like it really needs to break a joint or bone in order to be satisfied and then it get backs to it.
    I started my university physical classes again last year, and I find myself trying to control these so often. It's quite stressful because I don't want it to happen excessively in front of other people.

    Hello, very similarly, my head involuntarily twitches to the left when I am anxious. I don't have a problem when I'm alone. I've been diagnosed with cervical dystonia but I'm not sure if it's a social tic or dystonia. Yours looks like cervical dystonia too.

    Guys, if your neck shakes randomly, then you might have nerve damage. I tried this exercise/stretch for nerve damage in the neck and the shaking sensation went away.

    I could really use some advice, as far as I know I've never had tics until this year. The thing is I'm 20, it started with neck strain from my old bed and just escalated. It started small but then it got to the point of headaches, it stopped for a or two months maby, but it's back again. I know my sleep schedule has been all kinds of screwed up this year, and it doesn't help that I've developed a bad habit of doing anything at all except lay down and sleep because of anxiety at night. I know those things can atribute to it but I need help figuring out what's going on because I can't find anything anywhere about it. I could really use some help and advice.

    Please describe how to possibly reduce verbal tics. Others suggest breathing in through the mouth and out through the nose would help but air still passes through the vocal folds and a vocal tic still triggers. Slowed breathing for 30 mins stops tics but they start again 20 mins later. Any tips?

    I only get neck tics/twitches when I'm in school and I always wonder if other people see me. Plus, when eating (at school) my hands are really shaky. These things never happen anywhere else. Anyone else know why?

      Actually, I found out that it was some sort of nerve damage through the YT comments. I had all the symptoms, inflamed neck, numb arm, etc. I saw this exercise on UA-cam recently and the shaking has dumbed down and so did the symptoms.

    Are all tics involuntary? If so does this technique work for involuntary tics? My teenage daughter has a tic where she suddenly jolts her head forward and at the same time kind of lifts her shoulders up like 2 or 3 times.

    • @InnerWorldMastery
      @InnerWorldMastery  2 роки тому

      Hi Heidi. I’m not totally sure what you mean? If someone moves their head voluntary, they are moving their head. Then There is no condition or issue. If it’s happening involuntary then there are patterns of behaviour that have been saved in the unconscious somehow, and are playing havoc on this persons body.

    I started having a neck tic again where i stretch my neck to either side and the past few days the tic attacks have been so bad and so severe that my neck, shoulders, upper back and even my cheat muscles are so sore😞 i also think i pinched a nerve bc from like my lower neck/shoulder down to my inner elbow (where they usually draw blood) it almost feels like the slight pain when you stretch too far😭 it sucks because most of the tics i develop are ones that are strenuous and can cause injury when they get real bad

    Do tics also involve pulling or hard stretching? My neck is anyways in pain from it. I developed it after a medication. I didn't link it until recently. I want to ask before I invest in your program. The doc does believe I have a motor tic but she didn't offer much help. it appears it is a mix of clonic and tonic tics. Thoughts?

    • @InnerWorldMastery
      @InnerWorldMastery  4 роки тому +4

      Hey Jody - I just saw this message now. Sorry for the delay. Yes, pulling, stretching and the resulting pain in the neck from it is all to do with the tightness, tension that we're storing in out body, and not letting ourselves to release. A Tic is suppressed emotions wanting to be released... but we're trying to control them and hold them in. All of this is happening unconsciously for most of us. The practices I teach in the online program will help, yes.

Ever since Ive found you and practiced your exercises, I'm so relieved, my neck tics are already almost gone. You are a really good person and the way you speak is very reassuring. Thanks a ton ❤️🦜

    idk if i have tourettes (but i feel like it's tourettic ocd) but i have a neck thing where i flex/strain my neck and it ends up hurting the more and more i do it, so my upper body is really hurting because i also have one where i do the same thing but with my jaw and my bicept/arm

    • @InnerWorldMastery
      @InnerWorldMastery  2 роки тому

      It sounds like a motor tic, yes. Not Tourettes - as this is only diagnosed if you have vocal tics, too. The addiction to straining/flexing the neck is where I'd encourage you to start focusing on. What brings you awareness to that addiction? When does this addiction to moving the neck stop? In what situations or emotional states in your life does it calm down? Wishing you the best!

    I cant stay on the position without getting the urge

    • @InnerWorldMastery
      @InnerWorldMastery  2 роки тому

      That's OK. The practice is learning to breath gently, slow down, if you tic, tic. Try to last a little longer. each time just bringing awareness to your breathing to quite the nervous system. Ticking isn't wrong. Sometimes we do it, let it. THEN, come back to focussing on the breathing as you gently hold the position.
