Excellent presentation and a quick question. I plan on installing a bow mounted minnkota trolling motor on the BACK of my boat. I have a rail and other stuff in the way in the front. Obviously, if it’s mounted on the back when the trolling motor turns left the boat will go right and vice versa. But if you use ipilot and possibly a heading sensor for your tracks and waypoints, will the trolling motor steer the boat properly, even though it’s mounted in the back?
Can you go into more how to ensure 🤔
This is much more important if you don’t have a Minn Kota heading sensor. The Minn Kota heading sensor doesn’t talk to any Humminbird, but it does talk to the trolling motor which makes the decision based on its GPS where to go. This heading sensor though is needed for a 360 unit and to see what direction your boat is actually pointed.
If you have an iPilot link your Minn Kota heading sensor will communicate with your graphs through the network!
@@BehindTheReelFishing This might be true today after updates. But from my understanding this was not true when it first came out. But if you had no heading sensor and then just put the Minn Kota in, it improved all features of both stand alone I-Pilot and I-Pilot Link including follow the contour.

I'm having a hard time finding where to turn on the lines for heading and bearing on a Solix G3. My old unit had it and I've looked everywhere including the manual.
How do u get to the network page
