As someone who is an empath, I realized recently (as a result of therapy and the internet lol) that it is partially a result of my upbringing and lower case trauma. I’m now learning to focus on myself more. And one big thing I realized that I wanted to share for anyone else is this: “I DON’T HAVE TO SAVE THE WORLD” And YOU don’t have to save the world! I had made my whole life/identity about helping others and I finally realized that I don’t have to fix everything and everyone. It is OK to do things just because I enjoy it. It is OK to choose my career based upon my own wants and needs and not based on a self-imposed expectation to help as many people as possible. Do I want to still help people? Yes! But I’m realizing more that it can be a balance and doesn’t have to be my whole life. Anyway, just wanted to share.

My personal favs are obviously King and then Fools and Lilo/Sinners. All of her other songs are also really good like Echoes, Talk to me, Forest Fires. I just wish she made more songs like them. I like these new ones but they're missing something that I can only find in her old songs.
