As someone that suffers from clinical depression and anxiety and having people constantly telling me to change my mindset as if it was an on and off switch, this song speaks to me on so many levels. I'm currently going thru a divorce (6.5 years of emotional abuse) and attempted to take my own life this summer. It's been a rough journey getting myself out of these dark times, but this song gives me so much hope. Every time I hear her say "and the rain keeps coming down along the ceiling" I tear up, I just hear the pain in her voice. Thank you so much HAIM! You don't need a man in your life to make you happy! : )

I also was in a physically abusive relationship and have tried to take my life years ago before I met my now fiance who I've been with for 9 years.. This song totally speaks to me in so many ways, but I just needed you to know your not alone at all and you are so Amazing in so many ways!!! I'm so happy within myself & my life now ♡ you keep going and thriving for noone else but yourself and your happiness inside and out! ✌💌🎶🌎
First I'm sorry about your marriage because I'm sure it started with love or the hope of it. That said the video ends with each of them meeting a man. It is not a declaration of Independence in song . Though in my humble opinion they don't need to . They appear to be the type of women who can survive on their own but do not need to or want to. But they can if they have to. The middle part of the video shows the other 2 taking care of a smitten but conflicted Danielle . She is feeling conflicting emotions that get the better of her from time to time Which most of us have been through and go through. I wish you well in your future endeavours.
This is sooooo good, and somehow super nostalgic. There’s so much 90s in this song, like the Donna Lewis “Love You Always Forever” guitar, and the kick and vocals driving the verse like Savage Garden’s “I Want You” 😍😍😍😍

I'm hear because of She-Hulk episode 7. Loved it from the 1st time hearing it. The scene with the song made such a happy and uplifting moment. Surprised this wasn't a bigger hit. Beats remind me of I Love You Always Forever by Donna Lewis and rhythm 1st verse reminds me of something like The Look by Roxette.
Savage Garden "I Want You" for those who can't place why they like the riff so much. Starting to really appreciate the pop and musical sampling genius of these ladies!!!
I was beginning to wonder if I was the only person here who noticed the similar sound or riff. .. I am surprised nobody else has said anything... well like i have always thought to myself. LIFE IS CHEAP
In the future, when someone asks me what it was like to live through a global pandemic at 21 years old, I'll play them this song. It sums up how I've been feeling for the past 5 months. "Now I'm in it," but later I'll be okay
When I first heard this I thought it was good. After hearing it several times, and even a couple of times on Radio Newcastle (thank you Nick Roberts) I now think this track is brilliant, possibly the best thing out there for a long time. I wish Haim would get the support and backing that they need to continue making the music they want to create and we can continue to hear masterpieces like this.
It was when they appeared on SNL for me. Interestingly, when I went to order their CD on Amazon shortly after their SNL appearance, Amazon recommended another CD based on what I was ordering. That is how I discovered Chvrches. The recommended CD was The Bones of What you believe.
It was their appearance in the Spring of 2013 on Letterman, complete with flirty banter, that put them on my radar, but yeah, the SNL performances later that year is what hooked me for good.
the synth bass is the best thing about this tune, such a groove and Danielle's voice, particularly when she hits the upper limit of her register, beautiful. dig alanas new look.
A song that is close if not bang on how I feel right now. Working my everything and for the ambulance service and it’s having such a strain on my everything; I feel as though I have no life. Also, a proper tune. Thank you HAIM for another piece of perfection.

Fun fact: the guy in blue shirt you briefly see Danielle sit down with in the bar at the very end is Ariel Rechtshaid, who is acc her partner :) this video remains legendary - PTA is amazing.
Oh cool. That actually makes the video even better in some ways. Like the way they have them not interact unlike the two other boyfriend characters for the other sisters becomes even more poiniant.
This song beautifully captures that feeling of falling in love with someone. Realizing that nothing will ever be the same again. You would do anything to be with them. Mr Ferry was right, “Love is a Drug and I need to score.” The highest of fives for this song.
@@PedroRodriguez-kg4bq There are those times as well. You can give it your best shot. Maybe the timing isn't right or it just isn't meant to be. [Verse 1]
Looking in the mirror again and again
Wishing the reflection would tell me something
I, I can't get a hold of myself
I can't get outta this situation
Walking in a straight line thinking about last time
This time I said I would do this right
Said I would never break this promise
And now I'm back to counting on us
[Pre-Chorus]
We cannot be friends
Cannot pretend
That it makes sense
We cannot be friends
Cannot pretend
That it makes sense
[Chorus]
'Cause now I'm in it
But I've been trying to find my way back for a minute
Damn, I'm in it
And I've been trying to find my way back for a minute
[Verse 2]
Walking [?] my house
I'm alone in my head
But I wish you were in my bed
Can't get a read on myself
Gotta change this situation
Something I know that I found when I woke up
Told me that I shouldn't give in, give up hope
Told me that I shouldn't fight what I felt
Told me I should not let go 'cause
[Pre-Chorus]
We cannot be friends
Cannot pretend
That it makes sense
[Chorus]
'Cause now I'm in it
But I've been trying to find my way back for a minute
Damn, I'm in it
And I've been trying to find my way back for a minute
'Cause now I'm in it
And I've been trying to find my way back for a minute
And the rain keeps coming down along the ceiling
And I can hear it
But I can't feel it, oh
[Bridge]
Took me so long to fall
Now I'm in it, now I'm in it
[Chorus]
'Cause now I'm in it
And I've been trying to find my way back for a minute
And the rain keeps coming down along the ceiling

Looking in the mirror again and again
Wishing the reflection would tell me something
I, I can't get a hold of myself
I can't get outta this situation
Walking in a straight line thinking about last time
This time I said I would do this right
Said I would never break this promise
And now I'm back to counting on us
[Pre-Chorus]
We cannot be friends
Cannot pretend
That it makes sense
We cannot be friends
Cannot pretend
That it makes sense
[Chorus]
'Cause now I'm in it
But I've been trying to find my way back for a minute
Damn, I'm in it
And I've been trying to find my way back for a minute
[Verse 2]
Locking all the doors to my house
I'm alone in my head
But I wish you were in my bed
Can't get a read on myself
Gotta change this situation
Something in the way that I felt when I woke up
Told me that I shouldn't give in, give up hope
Told me that I shouldn't fight what I felt
Told me I should not let go 'cause
[Pre-Chorus]
We cannot be friends
Cannot pretend
That it makes sense
[Chorus]
'Cause now I'm in it
But I've been trying to find my way back for a minute
Damn, I'm in it
And I've been trying to find my way back for a minute
'Cause now I'm in it
And I've been trying to find my way back for a minute
And the rain keeps coming down along the ceiling
And I can hear it
But I can't feel it, oh
[Bridge]
Took me so long to fall
Now I'm in it, now I'm in it
[Chorus]
'Cause now I'm in it
And I've been trying to find my way back for a minute
And the rain keeps coming down along the ceiling
And I can hear it
But I can't feel it, oh
Danielle's acting in this video!!! so good!
Everyone needs to be washed like this after every breakup ever!
Anh Ngô or any mental breakdown too don’t forget that
It’s been more than a year and I’m still obsessed with this song
guilty as well.
i hear the first 5 seconds and thats it Im gone sucked into the song
I’m the same
HAIM is Savage with this track. Made me dance in my garden.
Actually the beginning sounds like a savage garden song
@@mariatoledo4218 haha that when r/woosh didn't it 😂
Hahaha very funny
The scene where u fall and your sisters carry you is ICONIC! This song and video made my heart warm. 💕
This is gooooood
Why am I continuously getting more and more obsessed with this song
I listened to this about 30 times in a row.
Because it's fantastic.
Cz you have good taste
It's because 'now your in it' 🤷♂️😃
The bridge in this song is beautiful 2:27 - 3:07 heaven to my ears.
Omg yes i skip it everytime before but now im obsessed with this song
THEM WALKING WAS SO POWERFUL.
the breakdown after the bridge is CONTAGIOUS i love the beats
God save the HAIM
Mojo Risin GOD SAVE THEM
Mojo Risin Yassssss ❤️
And Paul Thomas Anderson!
This song is a friggan MOOD. HAIM knocks it out of the park again.
who the hell has the nerve to dislike this before the premiere?
people who are not in it
(actually, based on the song, probably people who *are* in it)
Same people that hate movies before they even see them
I really like HAIM, but I’m not sure about this song. I listened to it 4 times and I honestly give it a 5/10.
Langa Mohlala
I enjoyed this 😊
Have you ever wanted someone more than you should?
I wrote a song called *Maybe Was Better Than No* by ninanile.
Please give it a listen. I’m an aspiring artist and would if you subscribed to my channel.
FLexxxtreme shhhh this is why bands never come to florida
I'm hear because of She-Hulk episode 7. Loved it from the 1st time hearing it. The scene with the song made such a happy and uplifting moment. Surprised this wasn't a bigger hit. Beats remind me of I Love You Always Forever by Donna Lewis and rhythm 1st verse reminds me of something like The Look by Roxette.
They aren't just "walking". They are traveling thru multiple moments...we ALL experience. Brilliant!
Savage Garden "I Want You" for those who can't place why they like the riff so much. Starting to really appreciate the pop and musical sampling genius of these ladies!!!
Yes! I kept waiting for the “chick-a-cherry cola” 🤣
Thanks a lot! Been racking my brains trying to find that old song! 😆
Facts ,also 21 goin thru it
We are still in it
I’m sorry.
#scamdemic
me too ~saad manzoor
GOLD!!!
How have i only just realised how amazing this band is. Unreal 🔥🔥🔥
My favourite Haim song. And video tbf 🙂
Who’s been knowing them since 2013
2012 bro
It was when they appeared on SNL for me. Interestingly, when I went to order their CD on Amazon shortly after their SNL appearance, Amazon recommended another CD based on what I was ordering. That is how I discovered Chvrches. The recommended CD was The Bones of What you believe.
@@johanneswirth9537 same I used to watch The Wire music video on VH1 before getting on the bus for middle school
It was their appearance in the Spring of 2013 on Letterman, complete with flirty banter, that put them on my radar, but yeah, the SNL performances later that year is what hooked me for good.
Saw them in concert in 2012; they were one of the bands that played during Mumford & Sons' festival tour. I've been hooked ever since.
I love the sound, takes me back to the sound of their first album
The arpeggiated synth in the background drives this song so well.
Discovering shows through your favourite series is just amazing.
She hulk right?
@@happychemist Yups :3
@@basicsimp8798 so glad I've found this song too :)
The layers in this track are amazing on the headphones.
These women should be super mega popular! Just so much talent going widely unnoticed is a shame!
There are several moments in this video where she looks heartbreakingly beautiful.
JUST KNOW THAT I WANT YOU GUYS BACK
I WANT YOU BACK!! (to Australia)
the synth bass is the best thing about this tune, such a groove and Danielle's voice, particularly when she hits the upper limit of her register, beautiful. dig alanas new look.
I’m reeling, this is so satisfying. The way they coordinate to the best, the abstract nature of the video, the effortless cool each of them exhibits.
this song is a literal masterpiece
So is your profile picture
@@contagioussadness 🐱✋
It's a blatant rip-off of a Savage Garden song.
This music video is INSANE, SUPERIOR!
Another masterpiece. Every damn time.
Giraffes, mostly
A song that is close if not bang on how I feel right now. Working my everything and for the ambulance service and it’s having such a strain on my everything; I feel as though I have no life. Also, a proper tune. Thank you HAIM for another piece of perfection.
Awesome!
They’re so underrated that is actually painful.
Agreed
aoty
I'm hoping that 2021 is finally the year where we invent the technology to punch anyone in the face that claims something is underrated.
@@chand911 Perhaps we should say their popularity lags behind their talent and skill level.. But if we want to say they are underatedwhy should we let you you say oh shut up??
they're rated really well, by fans and critics alike. every video has millions of views and folks go nuts over em. they're big-budget and are known by anyone who listens to music whatsoever. to help dissipate some of the confusion, what would be a more ideal scenario for you, in their "ratedness"..?
Today I've heard almost five different artists that I never heard of before and my god!!!
Unbelievable! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
that's a good day :)
They make me so happy. I cry every time I hear this song. Reminds me of a hard break up a couple summers ago.
This sounds like that one savage garden song like not even in a bad way.
No fui el unico que lo pense
I agreeeee!!!
The song u are thinking of by savage garden. Is called " i want you"
my thoughts since the first time i heard it. Exactly and in every good way.
@@ccarta192 yep that's the one. :) Love Savage Garden truley, madly deeply.

The bridge is immaculate everytime I try to listen to this song
“I’m very fond of walking”
“Yes, I know”
I just watched Pride and Prejudice LITERALLY 30 minutes ago. Small world...😂🔥🔥🔥
Paul Molina I’ve watched that same day
😍😍😍😍😍
lol love that movie
Ugh Pemberly and Darcy and Lizzie and ❤️
This song strongly reminds me of Savage Garden - I want you.
💜 I like both so much 🎤🎶
That was a cool song
I agree . I knew this sounded familiar . Both are great
Yes the intro does
love this song and love the nod to Savage Garden's "chica cherry cola"
Loovvveeee...
A friend of mine went to high school with them.
She said they’re super nice.
😎😎😎😍
I'm really glad to hear that!
The replay value of this song is off the charts.
Love these ladies so much. Anyone who says there is no good music these days hasn't heard HAIM
Everything about this is brilliant.
Fun fact: the guy in blue shirt you briefly see Danielle sit down with in the bar at the very end is Ariel Rechtshaid, who is acc her partner :) this video remains legendary - PTA is amazing.
And the producer on all of their albums :)
Oh cool. That actually makes the video even better in some ways. Like the way they have them not interact unlike the two other boyfriend characters for the other sisters becomes even more poiniant.
Best video I have ever seen!!!
Wow , speechless. Love how each one of them have their back
this is so sad but so brilliant
Wonderful song!! ❤️ MO
This song beautifully captures that feeling of falling in love with someone. Realizing that nothing will ever be the same again. You would do anything to be with them. Mr Ferry was right, “Love is a Drug and I need to score.” The highest of fives for this song.
Jason Cromwell falling in love and realising you can never be with them
@@PedroRodriguez-kg4bq There are those times as well. You can give it your best shot. Maybe the timing isn't right or it just isn't meant to be. In the first case you may have to wait a bit for certain factors to clear ( a situation of which I'm currently going through) or in the second you pick up the broken pieces and start again with someone else. Don't spend your life being a Martyr to a lost love.
