In particular the line slow part says "it took me so long to fall, then says but now I'm in it". I know that in wikipedia she claims it is about having 2 sides of her personality that clash. That may be true as well but It is only part of the story. I can relate to this so much. Sometimes when you go through dark and emotionless times you want to go back to your old self. But funny thing is we never go back to our old self we just get better.
As someone that suffers from clinical depression and anxiety and having people constantly telling me to change my mindset as if it was an on and off switch, this song speaks to me on so many levels. I'm currently going thru a divorce (6.5 years of emotional abuse) and attempted to take my own life this summer. It's been a rough journey getting myself out of these dark times, but this song gives me so much hope. Every time I hear her say "and the rain keeps coming down along the ceiling" I tear up, I just hear the pain in her voice. Thank you so much HAIM! You don't need a man in your life to make you happy! : )

It was their appearance in the Spring of 2013 on Letterman, complete with flirty banter, that put them on my radar, but yeah, the SNL performances later that year is what hooked me for good.
Saw them in concert in 2012; they were one of the bands that played during Mumford & Sons' festival tour. I've been hooked ever since.

In the first case you may have to wait a bit for certain factors to clear ( a situation of which I'm currently going through) or in the second you pick up the broken pieces and start again with someone else.
