Down here in Florida Manatees are pretty common in zoos.The last zoo I went to had a little manatee hospital complete with separate tanks for the Manatees to get away from viewing, or closer to doctors. They also had a nice room where the healthiest of the Manatees are kept, and everyone can view them. Lots of parents would bring their toddlers and every kid who saw them would gasp and sprint up to the glass and look at the manatees like they were some mythical creature.

LUCKY. Im in Georgia so I'm kinda close but I have never seen one
In four minutes, hank taught me more about manatees than I have learned in 23 years. And I hear about them a lot but never any facts just about them being cool. Thank you hank, and thank you sci show.

I love manatees. I live right by Silver Springs State Park. One time when I was kayaking with my daughter there amenity came up and was so curious about her. That is the bravest Manatee ever LOL
as a Florida resident I feel it important to add, that they go up rivers to Springs for food and warmth.
