Setting up an LLC is literally as simple as creating an original company name (you can search which business names have already been filed for free through your state’s website), filling out paperwork, and paying to file the paperwork. There are so many free online resources for creating an LLC; I have a degree in education and was able to figure it out all by myself with a little help from Google!

To be fair, when asking the question at 7:10, the interviewer says “starting from nothing,” but at 8:54 and 14:42, he says “start from $0.” So I can kind of see why the first guy may have thought “nothing” meant the vague idea of “starting from the bottom” and not literally $0 (kind of like what Jarvis was describing at 16:18), but regardless, his answer is horrible and “stocks is free bands,” is one of the worst pieces of “advice” I’ve ever heard. Aside from the inconsistent wording, like Ethan said at 7:00, it is nearly impossible to do anything, let alone make money, with literally $0. So again, I can understand why none of them gave good answers, though they as well as their advice, like Jarvis said, are out of touch with reality. If I had to try to answer the question, I’d say find a problem and create a solution, then go out and sell it to as many people as possible, get your name out there, and get at least one person to invest in you. And like Ethan and Jarvis said, hope to get lucky. But even then, if you want to create a product or service to sell to someone, you are almost certainly going to have to spend money to get others involved whether it’s creating some sort of prototype, producing, selling, and/or marketing the product, or even taking out a loan.
