    Hello. I enjoyed this review. I am going to purchase this M14 as my first ever airsoft firearm. Will only be using it for target practice initially until I learn more. Where did you purchase the battery from and what type of charger do you use with it? I am also going to purchase from Taiwangun. Is there anything else you would recommend that I purchase at the same time? I was looking to get the real wood stock model, but no one has stock, so will go with olive until I can find the same. Any video or photos I've seen of the imitation wood all look different (probably lighting, camera quality etc..) so I think olive may be better? Do you find the faux wood realistic? Thanks.

    • @PheasAirsoft
      @PheasAirsoft  4 роки тому +5

      Hiya. The olive is really nice but the wood is convincing to look at. Takes a good look to realise it's not real wood. I would be personally happy with either. I would advise getting at least one extra high cap as if you plan on playing Airsoft then one mag won't be enough in some games (depends on how trigger happy you are and if you run it as a DMR) for batteries I would suggest getting a lipo and a charger from them too (depends on your county though as they sell only EU connector based chargers). Either a 7.4v or 11.1v lipo will be great in it. Let me know if you want links to anything specific. Pheas

      @@PheasAirsoft Thanks for taking the time to reply. If you have the time and could put links to a compatible or better spare battery that would be great. If I'm am not concerned right now about the fire rate, is NiMH spare battery the better option? The lads at Taiwangun in their best written English advised me to read into LiPo batteries due to risk, which I am doing now. I just want to ensure I can get an hour or so from it in single fire mode. When I get more confident and learn more I'll look to enter some games in the Dublin mountains. BTW came across another site and the photos of the faux wood look amazing (not that your photos did not just the colour of the wood looks different everywhere I look). The wood is darker in your photos and on this website - www.airsoftarms.eu/en/cyma-cm032-m14-aeg-wood-look.html in that it is darker in colour than some others, so now going with that. I'll also be asking them to downgrade it as you did, so it is < 1 Joule. Thanks again.

      It was more the background noise you could hear than anything. The stock is very solid, there is a lot of internal scaffolding in the stock to keep it solid.

      The fake wood is made to be realistic but when you hold it, it feels that something is not right, it just doesn't have that real wood feeling, but if you look from other angle it looks like a real rifle with real wood

    hi, loved the video, and I love this gun!
    Just a question, it would be my first AEG, so i’m not really sure about the dimensions. I tried for 3 minutes the KART M14 of a friend and it seems very well balanced despite the weight, still some friends are suggesting that it’s a bad beginner weapon. Can you reassure me about that? ahaha
    I really love the aesthetic of the M14 and the fact that it can be used as both sniper and assault rifle, is that true?
    I will play mainly outside.
    Also, because i’m starting this hobby, I don’t plan in making really long battles, so i still hope that the weight it’s not too bad of a downside

    • @PheasAirsoft
      @PheasAirsoft  Рік тому +1

      Hello! an M14 is a good all round piece of kit, the cyma m14 either this one or the kart are solid internally and will be great. They are not easy to work on, the whole gun has to come to pieces to work on the gearbox, but if you are happy with the out of the box performance then go for it. It has excellent range out of the box, so although not sniper range, you could play it in a DMR role if you wanted. I love an M14, just a pain to open to work on. But nothing wrong with them as a beginner or otherwise piece of kit. Pheas

      @@PheasAirsoft thank you very much, I need to decide between this and an AK74 cm031, I found them at about the same price. Any advice? I’m a bit worried about the precision of the ak at medium/long range. Thank you for your response

    • @PheasAirsoft
      @PheasAirsoft  Рік тому +1

      @@lore.29 the cm031 is excellent, cyma make some of the best AKs and their range and accuracy will be comparable if not almost as identical as the M14. If it was my choice... The ak would be my choice as they are easier to use in game, amazingly reliable, excellent performance and should anything go wrong... Easier to work on / with. Pheas

    I used to hate CYMAs (See-muh) not ( Kuy-muh) after owning a budget AK from years ago but I recently acquired a couple of newer CYMA AEGs ( This M14 and an AK74N with side folding stock) and I must say they have definitely stepped up their build quality in the last 6-8 years. Aside from them shooting well over 400fps stock they are.great budget replicas that I am excited to skirmish with this season. Much better externals than the all ABS plastic that my $100 CYMA AK47 was made out of.

    great video mate, I am new to airsoft and I am getting this rifle for my Christmas, could you send me a link for the Lipo battery and charger because I have been looking at some reviews for this rifle and they have all said that the battery that comes with the rifles in the packaging it not very good.

    • @PheasAirsoft
      @PheasAirsoft  4 роки тому +2

      Hiya, the included battery is ok for a game or two, but wont last very long or will be unusable before long. The lipo I used in this during the games I played with it is this one: www.componentshop.co.uk/7-4v-1600mah-20c-continuous-discharge-lipo-battery.html
      And for a charger I would recommend something like this:
      www.amazon.co.uk/SKYRC-Balance-Charger-100-240V-Batteries/dp/B07GRXHDFJ/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=lipo+balance+charger&qid=1603098138&sr=8-5
      With the charger you just plug in the little white connector on the lipo and the charger will charge and balance for you, makes it very easy!
      Hope that helps Pheas
