    This is a great technique to preserve baits for a long boondock camping trip. I do this quite often because some of my campsite locations are quite a ways away from Civilization

    Put them on a tray and freeze them before putting them in the bag, that way they won't stick together.

    Great idea mate but when you show how to wrap the pilchards individually . Why can’t you place them all in to the bag with out wrapping them up I purchase salted blue bait this way and there all in the bag together not individually wrapped. Regards. Laurie from down south. Tight Lines.

    What's the largest size fish you can salt? Would an 8 or 10 inch Spanish mackerel salt over night? Would it take 2 days for a bigger fish?

    • @ReefJunkiesFNQ

    Brooo, I'm struggling to catch fish😂 this season I only caught a tiny fish. 😂😂 I need tips and tricks. (I fish off the surf or whatever , CPT, South Africa).

    • @ReefJunkiesFNQ
      @ReefJunkiesFNQ  8 місяців тому

      Every fisherman struggles at times. Suggest research on reading the ocean and identify gutters from the beach where the fish will be holding . As for deeper water, creeks and rivers look for stucture.

      @@ReefJunkiesFNQ Thanks for the tips. I have researched that quite a bit, I'm just not sure if I'm identifying them correctly or if it's the bait issue. Last night we went out and fished in the Harbour, but again no luck, then again no one else was catching either. In any case, really appreciate the tips. Just solidifies how important structure is and will definitely continue to do more research on it.
