Thank you again 💕🫶🏻 so excited
The 'useless' buttons at the bottom of the shirts are actually extras! So whenever you lose one, which happens sometimes, you can repair it. If you want, you can cut them out when you buy the shirt and keep them safe somewhere else. Some jeans have an extra button in the label for this reason
I thought this was common knowledge lol
Latex Queen finds too tight clothing annoying 😂❤❤❤😊
They were made for tailors as well to have them for alterations
And before they could even have extra fabric in spots for repairs
That's just common since lol
Not gonna lie, I got super excited when you said “Tate’s fiancée!” Congratulations Tate!
Isn't he gay tho?
@@klarabarunovic9841and why exactly would that make a difference?
@@klarabarunovic9841fiancé is gender neutral and they can legally marry :)
(i hope the question came from a good heart)
@@klarabarunovic9841tate’s gf now finance’s name is Taylor. She’s been in videos before
@@saskiah.8991 think they only said that cause fiance and fiancee are different words, and if, as they (wrongly) assumed, Tate was gay, the right word to use would be fiance, while OP used fiancee. No need to jump them haha, have a good day! 🤍
This is exactly what I needed. My grandfather passed away a week ago and I’ve inherited many of his shirts and wanted to repurpose them.
I’m so sorry for your loss 😢 My MIL is making pillows out of the shirts her dad used to wear! Something you can squeeze and hug! I hope your ideas work out great for you and you can keep his memory alive
Mine passed away last month and I was thinking the exact same thing. So sorry for your loss, I understand how painful it can be.
What I wouldn't give to have my grandpas dress shirts😍
just letting you know that your sewing inspired me to start seeing myself, I finished my first dress yesterday and am so proud of it
Congratulations! That’s awesome!
congratulations!😊🎉
Same here!! just finished buying all the sewing tools, fabric, etc. and will be using an old dress as a pattern for a new one. Now, just have to get/be gifted a machine🤞🏼
Congratulations!! 🥳 I want to learn how to sew and Mia's videos are really inspiring. Maybe I'll finally learn 🤔
SAME! I just picked mine up from my moms, it's her old one she gave to me & she was storing it for me because I live with my husband & his mom. Haven't started yet. If I'm being honest I'm a little intimidated but excited. 😁
Can we talk about how mia doesn’t care about working on the shirt while wearing it, but the moment chip enters the room she completely freaks out because he could hurt himself 😂
A mom cant hurt her child
Mia, next time you wanna use that "floral embroidery" function of your sewing machine, just use some contrasting yarn. That way it would pop more😁
The final result looks so cute, omg❤
GIRL..I don't think there's anything you couldn't transform into something wearable. You have talent😊😊. And thank you for your generosity
subscribed since the hot glue gun mia and it’s clear that practice builds the skill! so much is possible if u work hard towards the goal
The dress turned out really well!!! You're so talented!!
I can't believe you're giving away 10 sewing machines that's sooooo generous!!!
I'm not from the USA or Canada so good luck to everyone else who is entering :)
I know it's not her choice but man, I would've loved winning one haha. Good luck to all the northern Americans participating!
she's talent, she's grace, no baggy shirt can stand in her way 💃
chip’s little fuzzy orange suit is so adorable ❤
“I like your dressses that you make Mia, all your videos, mostly the doll house videos” -Eva (6yr old fan) ❤
We love watching your videos together. Especially the ones with mama maples 🥰 we get so excited to watch them together. My daughter Eva is always the one to remind me you have a new video ☺️ she’s the sweetest.
You truly inspire her to learn to sew one day and create something out of nothing with anything she does. Thanks again for the slime. She was over the moon to receive a sweet note and slime from you ❤
Make sure to read the description box, and enter for a chance to win a brand new sewing machine!! 💕💕💕
🤞🤞
Yeah sadly from Europe(Germany ) so I can’t participate but love the idea and would love this or similar give-aways in the future btw love the dress ugh😍💗
Also sad I can’t enter 🥺 (South Africa)
Thank you for the opportunity!
You are literally too good! You do so many amazing giveaways and do so much good I legit had some sort of euphoric reaction to this giveaway and I thought I would cry. You put so much joy into the world! Okay I’m done I’m going to go cry now!!!
When you love Mia so much that you are subscribed to her main channel and her second channel. 😅♥️💖
obviously both lol how could you not?? she’s so awesome!!! 😂😂😂
Same!
same girl! 🩷✨
Most definitely!
I mean who isn’t?!??!😂
WOW not one but 10 machines, awesome!! Mia your sewing skills have come far since your start. ❤
It looks gorgeous! too bad about the restriction... I'm from Germany but best of luck to you others! And huge thanks to you Mia and Singer for doing this it's amazing to support people in starting to sew ^^
Hey Mia, the extra buttons on the shirt are there for if you lose a button, you have a matching button 😊
The more and more I watch your sewing progress, the more you're making me want to get back into learning!
Mia thank you so much for your giving heart! That is one of the things I love most about your channels! I’m an old lady compared to most of your followers, but I love your cheeriness and that of your Mama. I just lost my Mom to dementia last month, so you and your Mom bring back such happy thoughts of my Mom. We did nothing but laugh All the time two.😺❤️🤣
I’m sorry to hear about your mother💖 I made a blanket out of all of my grandpas old clothes! If you’re into sewing it’s definitely something to remember them by
I'm so sorry about the loss of your mom. Know that she is watching over you; still smiling🙏 I hope that your fondest memories help to heal the hurt in your heart.
I love watching Mia- especially on a "not so good" day 😊
@@amyhendricks3627 thank you for your kind message.❤️
@@kirstens1653 thank you for your your kind message.❤️
@@kirstens1653 what an awesome idea! 😺
The shirt with the picnic pattern would look so cute with strawberries for buttons, right? Took inspo from your pillow in the background. 😊
You've inspired me to learn to sew! I've had a little pile of broken clothes for so long that I've never felt able to fix. So thank you for the inspiration and advice!
The dress came out so cute! A tip my mom showed me to mark clothes: when you use a soap bar and it becomes too small, save it for when you’re sewing and want to quickly mark clothes! The soap comes out easily when you wash it. (This would help when you are marking your clothes and need to keep your place) great content !
There's also washable pens or crayons for this reason.
@thespankmyfrank2
yes, but using a piece of soap is much easier, and cheaper, and also less wasteful, so you don't need to go out and buy an entire box of crayons :)
@@sundarmaanya.swiftie unless you don’t use bar soap, like a lot of people don’t these days. If you have kids you likely have washable markers or crayons laying around. You can buy chalk and sometimes the washable markers and crayons at dollar stores. Fabric stores often have things like tailor’s chalk or markers.
I bought a pattern book at a dollar store that came with a fabric marker for like $3
I immediately clicked on this video and was so psyched that I did not even notice it was the 2nd channel until it was mentioned. Not that it makes a difference, says more about my attention level than anything else (TMI). Love the final reveal. SO glad that the scalloping and embroidery was added, really elevated the dress up from great to excellent.
I think that the finished dress is absolutely adorable. I really appreciate seeing your journey in sewing and how far you have come. Thank you for being you.
I was supposed to be going to Cedar Point with my best friends today, and I got sick. Mia is the only thing comforting right now. I just love how she is always so happy and cheerful.
I've been wanting to learn how to sew for a while now but watching you sew more and more and really lit a fire in me!! I'm praying and hoping over here in California!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🥰🥰🥰
My heart seriously grew 10x when I heard you were giving away a sewing machine. I remember my sister begging for one when we were younger but we couldn’t afford it. She’s no longer interested in seeing, but it makes me happy to know someone’s gonna get that chance ❤ you’re a great person Mia
Awe, Mia! You're such a good person! I'm so honored to support such a thoughtful and inclusive creator! You're parents are so sweet and awesome and did such a great job raising you.
You did beautifully. It's an adorable transformation and it looks like you bought it from a nice store.
This is so cute! And you could do it with old shirts from your family who has passed. Good way to repurpose something of theirs and not let it collect dust :)
I love that! What a sweet idea 😊
That’s so nice that you did a google doc for entry. Most people do where like you have to follow them on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and comment everywhere and I don’t even have those types of accounts. Loved the way the dress came out, and didn’t even have to stuff tissues up your nose. Hopefully getting the mold out of your house will make that a thing of the past. 😊
Thank you Mia for posting your videos about sewing! It's really inspiring to see how much you've improved over the years!
I just want to say thank you for how hard you work at putting good into the world and how thoughtful you are about it. It's something I really admire about you
I used to make Barbie clothes by handheld sewing machine when I was in 3rd grade. Then my family had some hardships and I lost it. I’ve been wanting to get back into sewing and you’re so inspirational. Been a long time follower 💜✨
Your videos are such a source of comfort for me, Mia! Thank you for being a source of light and joy in my day!!
Always a good day when Mia is sewing! 😄
Mia, you are such a lovely young woman. I really enjoy watching your videos. The dress looks great! You’re so cute and creative. Thanks for spreading positivity! ❤
Definitely here for the video Mia. I never remember to enter the giveaways but thank you for being so giving to your subscribers & for your content. I have learned so much & am so inspired to craft my own creations. Hope you, Stuart, Mama Maples & the rest of the Maples crew have an awesome summer!
It's been a pleasure watching you grow. Your incredibly talented at everything you do. ❤
I love this sewing era Mia is going through.. I am 42 and haven't sewn since junior high lol well other than a few random hand sewn dolls, but watching these videos are inspiring me to get into it.
Haven't heard if you selected winners yet and who the lucky ones are. Did you select winners already? Ive been keeping an eye open for both your UA-cam channels to see the big announcement for it and i havent seen that. Did you post it somewhere else?
I love these and I absolutely think what your doing as a creator is everything we hope for and want to see in this community. Thanks for making a space out there for us fashion loving girlies who don’t want to continue to contribute to fast fashion, but also do want to purchase on the cheap. ❤
The dress came out so cute, Mia! If you'd like your fancy stitching to stand out, use a different color. You can add other colors now and make a band of contrast on the front and sleeve edge or you can take out what you did and redo it in another color.
ahh mia!!!! when i saw you posted i screamed and my dad looked at me like- 👁️ 👄 👁️
i was like “MIA POSTED!!”
ilysm!!! ✨🩷
and i have really been loving sewing since like 5th grade and so many years later i still do!! and i just have been hand sewing, and i just cannot afford a sewing machine! :(
but i am so grateful for the opportunity to enter into this! ilysm! 🩷🩷🩷
Very lovely job, simple but adorable. Thanks for facilitating the giveaway, I went to enter for the sewing machine but got huge laugh on how google form makes you add your birthdate... All us old viewers had to hit the calendar arrow button approximately a million times.
Mia, you’re such an inspiration, and I really love the fact that you are advocating for sustainable fashion, and creating/updating your own clothes! Love the creativity and positivity you spread on a daily basis! ❤ have a good day beautiful!
The details you were second guessing while doing it ended making it so much better as a whole piece ❤ loved it
I NEVER click on your videos for the giveaways. I click on your videos because I like you and your family's personalities, wholesome goodness and positive attitude. Your videos are FUN.
The dress looked so cute! Oh man, I wish I lived either in Canada or in the US 😭 but it's okay, Mia. I enjoyed the video and the idea anyways!
Who won lol
Came here to ask the same.
I love watching your sewing content. your process is so common sense and not always necessarily what a traditional seamstress would do. But that's the best part! I think it helps people who don't think they could make their own garments be more confident. Thank you!
I love this! The scalloped edge blew my mind. I didn’t even realize sewing machines did this! I recently started sewing and my stepmom got me a used sewing machine super cheap, and I’ve slowly been getting better! It’s difficult because it’s pretty old and it’s hard to find tutorials for my type (plus, it’s missing the small part you rest fabric on while sewing in the front), but it’s exciting to learn!
Pro tip- before fitting the sides tighter, you can make darts going up and down on the princess lines in front and it'll make the fit smoother ❤ looks so cute, excited to try this one!
A sewing machine give-away is probably the coolest thing I’ve ever heard of (on this platform)! I love it how you show the creative, artistic process, the finished works and even make it possible for the viewers to get to do it themselves.
Very inspiring! And I really mean that.
This giveaway would be so great for me! I keep wanting to do projects on my sewing machines for me and my kids, but I've been given 2 second hang machines that keep breaking down and are so ancient. It would be extraordinary to have one that I know works!!!
That dress remake was amazing Mia, I would love to do more of this stuff!!
I love sewing. I'm not "great" at it, but I love doing it. I can make quilts, clothing, drapes, etc., Can you believe I learned to sew in the 70s, and I'm still learning! It's one of those skills that, there's always room for improvement!
Thank you for your working with Singer to give away a new sewing machine. I love the shirt project. As an older woman I like the option to make it a bit looser and my daughter could wear it more fitted. Just lovely ❤
I actually cannot wait to try this out - I feel like you could get super creative with buttons and trips and such. Also trying the multi pattern with ruffles or sleeves could make it unique
That turned out so good. You made so much progress since you first started sewing. That's for sur inspiring.
I can only imagine what it is like to make my own clothing. Your men's shirt turned out perfect for a princess!
I'm a baby cosplayer and I've been buying pieces and hand-stitching when needed. I've been stuck in a rut lately because I was over hours of stitching but I've recently been binge-watching your sewing videos and seeing the meticulous effort that you always put in makes me feel like I can do it too! Also, Mia is right y'all even though it may take some time no matter how new you are you got this!💞
Hey Mia! I am so amazed at how fast and how much you have learned about sewing in the last little while! It makes me want to learn more for sure to make my own clothes! You are so awesome!
I absolutely LOVE the sewing content!! It’s definitely become a quick favorite of mine when it comes to your videos :) ive been really wanting to get into sewing for YEARS but was worried about just figuring it out by myself, but youve really inspired me to just go for it and give it a shot. I already have so many project ideas in mind!! Thank you Mia ❤ keep up the goodwork
I have definitely enjoyed watching quite a few of your videos. You are so talented and creative!
Oh my I loved this idea , and honestly I love you a lot and your videos as well, they are stress buster for me and I somehow relate to you with all your allergy prone self and living in sweats all day everyday...
this video is going into the pile idea videos to try one day 😜😜😜
I absolutely love this....gets my brain is going to want to do this. Cause of my size/height, it's hard to buy anything to fit, so repurposing clothing like this is amazing. Plus I love love love thrift shopping!!!
Love that ur inspiring ppl w alternatives to fast fashion w sustainability & making ur own clothes! ❤❤
I recently got my mums old sewing machine when she bought a new one and so far I’ve only made a pillow case but I have a whole list of things that I want to make/alter 😁 I’m nearly 20 weeks pregnant and about to start making some maternity stuff and baby things and it’s all because you inspired me to try it 🥰 thank you
Omg you’re so talented I wish you could do more in depth tutorials. Love your personality and it’s amazing to see you work
I'm absolutely loving that Mia upcycles thifted items or uses thrift store fabric often. I want to see more thift store fashion from Mia! Also, the scallops and embroidery are such an adorable addition to an otherwise plain dress.
Really awesome idea. I am thinking since I am a bit older and a full figured girl is that finding dress shirts at some of the men's stores or even the big and tall sections of some of the chain stores could give more length or even make it into a romper. I love the embroidery that you ended up putting on it, it gave the dress a super cute addition. You really do find some incredible DIY things to do.
Mia you have got to get into machine embroidery. I can see you already embroidering everything you own once you figure it out. I recommend grabbing a husqavarna machine. I would suggest the Topaz 50 as a good starting one. Then get the software called Hatch. You can design all sorts of cute things on there that your machine could run. You would have so many possibilities. For example making something “in-the-hoop” which is something where all the sewing and embroidery is done in the hoop. You can make wallets and bags like this. But you could also embroider cute little strawberries all over a dress. Or design your own thing for every one of your throw pillows!
Yay! I love thrift flips. It's been fun watching your sewing skill grow from the time you used to dread pulling out the machine saying you were no good at sewing to where you have grown to be so confident after making your Valentines dress and sewing for 24 hours. Also! Tomorrow is my BIRTHDAY! I'm turning 33. Entered the giveaway. I would love to thrift flip or upcycle items. Thank you for hosting this giveaway and thank you to Singer as well.
Your pink sweater from your "My Dream Thift Haul!" video looks great on you! 😊
You have come such a long way on your sewing skills. Love the project.
More transforming of thrifted clothes, please, Mia!!! Great job, and love that you're giving away sewing machines!! Way to go!! xxoo
This giveaway is probably the most exciting giveaway you’ve done Mia! I’ve wanted a sewing machine to make my own clothes for so long and the fact that you’re giving 10 people that chance is so amazing! You’re probably one of the most genuinely kind and caring people to have a platform and the way you use it to show love to others is absolutely wonderful!
Love both of your channels!! All your videos always bring a smile to my face! And fun video idea!!! Looks super cute!!! Makes me feel like I can sew too....lol
Wow this is the exact sewing machine I’m considering buying! So excited for the chance to win! ❤
MIA! Thank you for doing a giveaway, you’ve inspired so many people including myself to take the more ethical and sustainable fashion route! 💛✨ thank you for doing what so many creators are not doing, I’ve been here since day one and always look forward to your videos as we have grown up together! ✨
I think it's so cool that you're doing this give away, I've been very inspired by your thrift flip videos and feel held back by how big of an investment a sewing machine is. Love your channel!
I am so happy you are doing more sewing videos! They are my favorite!
This dress turned out so cute! 🥰Also this giveaway is awesome! Giving away 10 sewing machines is amazing and I’m hoping I’m blessed with one 🤞🏻 thank you Mia for this opportunity! 💗
wow this is such an amazing giveaway, proud that singer realizes how impactful you are. Love the collaboration!
As someone from the UK, I am gutted I can't enter the giveaway, but at the same time i'm glad someone will get it, which is so exciting! AHHH You're amazing Mia, I know theyre going to appreciate it ❤
Mia, don't stress about those outside the US and Canada, you're already doing something amazing!! You truly care about your subscribers, and I'm glad to be part of your comunity ❤❤
That turned out great!! So pretty! and wow TEN machines??! That's amazing!
Love your videos, Mia! You're such a gem of a person and your positive energy radiates through the screen! ♥️
You are inspirational. I have no formal training in sewing. Just my Grandma and I designing Christmas dresses together, to me sewing my own gowns. You can achieve anything with practice and determination! ❤
I love your videos so much and they inspire me so much aswell, the two buttons on the bottom of the shirt are for if you loose one and you need to replace it.
I love how this dress came out! You always make sowing look so effortless.
Love your videos, the result looks just perfect like a dress you can buy.❤
I can’t believe how well this turned out- it’s so cute!!!!
I've came across you other page a few weeks ago and omggg I'm in love. You have made me want to start sewing. 🥰.. damn I can't enter I'm in Australia ATM. But il continue watching and can't wait to start to learning to sew 💛 thanks Mia
You might need to get a dress form that is your size soon. Since you’re doing so much more sewing it might help you and will hopefully make your projects easier.
That's a great job. I have some of my dad's old tshirts but they are so old and all that I'm just going to try to make some pillow cases out of them. I haven't done much sewing since I was little but I'm getting into it again and getting excited for the different things I can learn.
I love how retro it looks! You are so talented ❤️ Keep doing these videos for as long as you want, I'll keep watching ❤
I'm definitely trying this once I've my machine set up. Thanks for sharing ❤
Enjoy watching you turn a piece of clothing into something completely different and so stylish!
Such a fun and immersive video that I forgot you were even doing a giveaway! The shirt-dress turned out amazing!
I came for the video… THEN realized you’re hosting such an amazing giveaway!! 😍😍
