    A funny coincidence: my company is currently working with Fanta on a competition for advertising students to come up with ways to make the drink appeal to people beyond their childhood years. Will definitely be giving this a try at the office.

    🍇 I gave a bottle of this to my dad, who loves a 50:50 mix of orange soda and red wine (floated on the top) and he LOVED IT! He's getting a 6 pack of these for Christmas 😂

    I have found that orange super juice with simple syrup and soda water also makes a very good orange soda similar to fanta. Some orange bitters makes it even better.

    Ararat is rarely talked about, so it's a nice surprise to see it here🍇.
    Btw, I did try making the orange equivalent of Morgenthaler's lime cordial and it surprised me. Very different to your syrup, but its own thing and powerful. Would be great to go with some herb brew instead of water like with your gentian tea.

    Love these recipes. One question: could the orange syrup be made with non-sugar sweeteners like Monk Fruit, Allulose or others?

  • @jeohist
    @jeohist 8 місяців тому

    There were a few regional varieties of Fanta during the war. In the Netherlands it was made based on elderberries, for example. It was also completely artificially sweetened until 1942 (they added 4% sugar due to legal requirements after that).

    • @KevinKos
      @KevinKos  8 місяців тому

      That's interesting! Maybe that's why they also make so many varieties still.

    🍇 you know, this made me curious about other homemade versions of popular flavors of Fanta, like grape or strawberry. I would love to know how to incorporate those in a highball.

    • @KevinKos
      @KevinKos  8 місяців тому +1

      Yeah, it would be interesting to find flavor-pairings for those as well. I made a gin cocktail with homemade strawberry&rhubarb cordial, so you could just incorporate rhubarb and try mixing in the strawberry fanta. wasn't expect to see Ararat here. It is very popular in Russia, of course we were a one contry years ago and Armenia and Georgia were wine and grape based liquors suppliers for the whole USSR. Ararat is the biggest liquor maker in the Armenia, so their most known brandy is sold everywhere in Russia. And I can say, that it is maybe the best price to taste valuable brandy. It is sold for about 8 euros for 5 year 0.5l and it's way better than cheap french or spanish brandies, russian brandies have smaller addition tax, so we can find nice russian brandy for this price (like "stareishina" that means "elder man" in english). But I prefer Ararat. There also have Noah brandy, the second biggest maker in Armenia.

    hi kevin thank you for your another non alcohol video :) -- to be honest I ever try make super lemonade after 1 week and its a bit bitter. is there any mothode to reduce the bitter taste ?I try using vanilla paste to clean the lemonade and sugary taste it taste really great you have to try using vanilla in your drink or food :)

    • @ellyam991
      @ellyam991 7 місяців тому

      Not Kev, but sweet and salt can help reduce bitter flavors. Another option is to freeze part of the Super Juice so that it stays as close to fresh as possible before using it for lemonade
