some say its a waste of time or money, but i plan on keeping my Subaru WRX for long after its paid off. Im 100% sure my turbo will outlast those who don't use a turbo timer. Although its no power mod, the benefit is in the long run. people don't see that or will probably sell the car and the next owner down the road will experience the results of how the turbo was cared for or not.
Saw Evo,immediately disregarded everything this guy said.Just kidding.Well done and informative video.
with a turbo timer, you'd have to park the vehicle in neutral right? I always park in gear.
get one with a probe to get the actual temp of the turbo. different loads and speeds require different cool times. that way it will shut off when the temp drops to a safe level
When I turn my car off, it sends water or coolant through the turbo to cool it down.. I think the turbo in it is oil/water cooled
I feel like you could go without unless you plan to race to work in the last few minutes every day to where you can't even let the car idle for a couple of minutes before leaving.
Well cant i just let the engine idle for 5 mins before i turn it off? That would have the same effect right?
andy, just want to ask if is there any benefit using a turbo timer on a N/A engine ? thanks :)
So is it drive-able while the turbo timer is active???
My car school right here! :D
And you are really amazing ,,, very helpful videos
how many time should my car continue to run after i stop?
what kind of rims are those!?
Why not just let it cool for 15 seconds yourself? i see how this is great but would like a reason
Lol same thing here! That's how I ended up on this video!
Can a turbo timer be install on a car without turbo ?
yes, but why would you want to do that?
They are ass useless. If a turbo is water cooled then you don't need to let it wait. If it is oil cooled then not using boost or high rpm for the last 30sec of your drive you are completely fine.
so what would be the diffirence if i were to just park and let it idol for a minute and then cut the car off?
