Happy Hispanic Heritage Month to all! A month is surely not enough to acknowledge all the awesome contributions & accolades of a beautiful culture--God bless!

Name three contributions
@@orwellknew3408 Ever had chocolate? Vanilla? Or any food with tomatoes in it? Guess where that came from.
Why do hispanics celebrate their heritage in the U.S but seldom ever celebrate it back in their countries??
@@Jason21012 living where things grow can not be called a significant cultural contribution
@@orwellknew3408 Mexicans had to identify it, learn to harvest it, and figure out how it can be applied to other things later on. That’s called a contribution. Listen to me and you’ll learn something.
Know how TV used to be black and white? Yeah, Mexicans changed that and invented color tv.
Its starts September 15 when Central America became independent 🇬🇹🇸🇻🇭🇳🇳🇮🇨🇷
Screw Guatemala! Garbage!
It’s the most beautiful time to celebrate it 🇬🇹
Thnx abc for recognizing
The absolute ignorance in these comments is staggering…..
Some of the comments are rude, ignorant and racist! Terrible. The focus is on CELEBRATION and pride in one's roots. Nothing wrong with that at all. And it was designated because in the past it was ignored...
@@elizabethwilmot556exactly Americans are very ignorant and we didn’t even ask for this holiday so why are they going off on us like that

It's nice Mexico has brought all of their holidays and language to the US ..The US has been good to Latinos..they worked and lived together...they were never Slaves and they didn't have to build America...they've had it good
Is Polka music Hispanic? From what I know the tuba, fiddle & accordion are from most part a Northern Europe idea & has little identity with any type of 'Central American Heritage'. It's called 'Culture Appropriation' if others take music which is not theirs. Any idea to take culture is said to be horrible. Unless!

🇲🇽x🇺🇲 thank you Reagan. shout out to my Muslim brothers and sisters. as salamu alaykum.
This is Fucking embarrassing
Mostly Mexican heritage month, lol. Why does any Hispanic country independence have to be celebrated in the U.S. for? They are supposed to be American citizens and the only Independence day to be celebrated is July Fourth.
Thank for ABC for celebrating hispanic heritage month, now I'll vot democrat
It's ignorant to call people from Latin America Hispanic. That's a word for Spanish people. Most Mexicans have indigenous roots and they don't point that out. I consider myself indigenous, but we are divided due to the colonization.
This is mexican heritage month. There's more Latinos than just mexican but you do you America lmao.
Why don't we celebrate white month
White is not a heritage
Brad Kreiman, que es homosexual/bi sexual, se casó con María. Probablemente tenga varias ETS, pero sobre todo AYD
So we can surmise that Hawaii doesn’t consider themselves Asians nor Pacific Islanders why they lobbied for their own designation.
Wonder how it feels to have your history relegated to a month. That’s got to hurt
It does. Hispanic Heritage Month is complete bullshit.
Why would it
If you’re Hispanic are you happy with being given only a half a month to be recognized? Shouldn’t someone’s heritage be celebrated 365 days a year and their history be integrated instead of relegated?
@Elkster Eidolon Yes. And a weird thing called colonization happened and now Spanish culture is a major root of current Latin American countries-which Hispanics live in.
@@beingmyself000 What do you mean? The American Southwest states all have Spanish names. Hispanic culture has existed in that region before this country was even created. It’s the dominant culture in that area.
As a Hispanic, whatever that is exactly... I generally consider myself Caucasian of Spanish descent, Cuban by birth, and American by nationality. How can the left promote celebrating a holiday that does not exist? The only unifying historical figure we have across national borders is Christopher Columbus who wasn't even Spanish, and the left has criminalized and practically deleted Columbus from history. Each Spanish Speaking country has their own national heroes, rarely do those figures cross national borders to other Spanish speaking countries. Those that do are often notorious such as El Che who tried to bring communism to all Latin America and has resulted in countless millions being displaced from their countries of origin, fleeing persecution, not exactly historical figure to celebrate if you are of Spanish speaking origin who came to America fleeing leftist persecution inspired by critters like El Che. American historical figures of Spanish speaking origin are probably completely unknown in the countries they or their parents or grandparents immigrated from. They belong more appropriately in American History than in the history of any Spanish speaking country. After all, their accomplishments occurred in America, thanks to the opportunities in America not available in their countries of origin. So what exactly are we supposedly celebrating on Hispanic Heritage Month doesn't exist in a single country of Spanish speaking origin?
We are not one minority group, we are people of many different groups, backgrounds, nationalities, races, religions.... Some of European descent from many European countries, some of African descent from many different regions, some from many different Native Americans tribes, some from many different Asian countries, some Mulatos, some Creoles, some Mestizos, etc... How do you just group all these people into one group? Other than maybe the national origin of the country they come from.
It’s not that deep

As Americans. We don't celebrate this made up holiday or a month of lies. We dont celebrate the invasion that has been going on for a long time now. We speak English in this country, end of subject!
1. The United States does not have English as its official language, nor is any other language official, because we have so many people from all walks of life speaking different languages.
2. Hispanic and Latino Americans have just as much of a right to live here and celebrate their culture as you.
3. Get over yourself. The world doesn't revolve around you.
