*For the uninitiated:* *I HIGHLY RECOMMEND watching the original episodes of The Monkees TV show. It’s fantastic. Great writing. Great comedy. The episodes are 60+ years old and funnier than anything being made today.*
I remember them from when I was a kid. Add a child, I liked the Monkees better than the Beatles. Looking back, the reason was simple. The- Monkees had a cool TV show. 😆😂🤣 Though their music was actually pretty good also.
Excellent tribute group! They are producing the album sound live meticulously. The extra musicians are necessary and the group acknowledges them completely. Great show...would love to hear them!
Stage right ...... WTF! Way in back. Behind the 12 string. Who is that guitarist? Bring him out and give him some stage time. MAybe we should ask the band why they need him?
The Guy As Mickey Sounds A Lot Like Him, But Is Slightly Off As He Sounds A Bit Winded & Doesn't Hold The Notes As Long As Mickey. Very Close & Good Just The Same .
Honestly, I've seen quite a few groups try to perfectly replicate the original records' sound live, with lookalike groups and/or soundalike groups... but it honestly seems pretty bland live when it's done like the record. The original Monkees didn't do it at all like the records in concert back in the 1960's... they did much harder and actually rock-oriented takes of the songs, making bonified electrifying rockets out of prepacked bubblegum bullshit... now, a Monkees tribute group who'll go out of their way to reenact THOSE Monkees, and maybe even do some songs they never got to do live in that same vein, I'd absolutely pay to see and actively supoort... this is just a big corny joke meant for boomers to circlejerk their pathetic nostalgia to. Groups like The Monkees have far more shelf life nearly 60 years later, even after any or all members have died, solely because those groups constantly changed themselves and grew. Why not grow even more with those same bands and songs? The 60's was a decade that famously displayed unconventional methods for art and music, why not bring that spirit instead of copying what's already been done?
@@westy40 i mean, I enjoy it a bit... It's just been done before... It feels overdone and painful to watch people dress up as now dead musicians and do mediocre to horrible impressions, over and over again... Sorry me and plenty of other fans wanna see someone replicate the real sound of the 4 actual Monkees, not Don Kirschner's studio musicians.... I don't have a problem with them being a tribute band, I just personally find it monotonous to cover the same few hits with the super-polished sound... The real Monkees didn't sound like that on their own...
The drummer actually does sound a lot like Mickey.
This is the first Monkee's tribute band, that I know of. They sound 🔊 pretty cool too me .
They’re not the first:

Very good job guy's with great Mickey Dolenz vocals. Bob
Thank you for keeping their music alive......and for the lookalike thing too........
Wigs. Every where wigs. But I love it.
Wow. Sounds just like the original. Amazing.

They nailed it. Sounds just like Mickey!
Excellent job! The drummer has Micky’s voice down!!!
Finally a great Monkees tribute band these guys are good
Instant Smile 🙂
I saw Mickey Dolenz singing their songs at The Monterey County Fair some time ago and I really enjoyed it : )
Okay, I'll admit I was ready to say "NO MORE TRIBUTE BANDS...", but this is pretty darn good.
I love the "He's really playing this" sign! It's the style of humor the TV Show used to do!
From the 33 1/3 revolutions per Monkee special the Monkees did.
Lol so true
Bloody AWESOME!
Where did they get the shirts? Been looking for one forever.
Great Job👍
love the 60's wigs.
great , very nice
I'd rather this than a Beatles cover
WOWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!
VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE!! I WISH UA-cam HAD A RETWEET - PEOPLE NEED TO SEE THIS!
Awesome!
Superrrr
u guys sound great

he does the vocals for "Mike'. If you watch "Mike" is not doing any actually singing, he is just mouthing the vocals.
Ain't my sound system ..... the audioi sucks! Boomy!
I see guitarists hidden in the back, so are these guys actually playing?
I’m pretty sure the 2 people in the back are filling in for different Guitar parts. But yes they are actually playing

Very Close & Good Just The Same .
I think you're nitpicking.
Mickey was never actually playing the drums, ever, when he was singing this song.
@kellvarnssen7443 Your comment is complete misinformation. I'll just leave it at that.
track act

I'm 28 and love music of the sixties and if you don't then you could just back off
@@zacharyjohnson6453 wow, you completely missed the point in what I said.
Damn. It's a Monkees tribute band and a very good one. People enjoy it, sorry you don't, that's your loss.

Wow. Sounds just like Don Kirshners studio band
the guys in the background are doing all the playing. The guys in front are just faces
Horrible audio take. Could not be worse.
somebody's phone i would guess.
lol it definitely could be worse.
Wow this awesome god I love 60s rock ❤
