Betrayed by those they cared so much for, forgotten by the galaxy they fought to protect, murdered by the one they trusted. The Jedi Order did not deserve such a tragic fate.
Wow, I’ve seen many tributes to order 66 and I have to admit...this is by far the best I’ve seen. Very well edited. You got my full respect for it sir! Preciate the effort.
@@Maulstand It wasn't entirely her fault. It went both ways with the Jedi Council members and Ashoka. It was bad communication with one another and didn't report vital information to one another.

I really don't see how people can look at this many people dying, genocide, and be like "they deserve it" just bc they were flawed. They don't realize great people were lost with these "corrupt", "dogmatic", and "disconnected" people, which I wouldn't even call them that. They were simply shortsighted as many people are when they don't have the bigger picture the way people looking at the situation afterwards do. It probably could've been corrected another way, but destiny chose whiping the slate clean.

The Jedi had to die. Unpopular opinion, I know, but they had to. "We were trained to be keepers of the peace, not soldiers. But all I've been since I was a Padawan is a soldier." -Ahsoka Tano "I remember a time when Jedi were not generals, but peacekeepers." -Satine Kryze "My attack on the temple was an attack on what the Jedi have become! An army fighting for the dark side, fallen from the light we once held so dear. This Republic is failing! It's only a matter of time." -Barriss Offee "In our arrogance, joined the conflict swiftly we did." -Yoda "Dwelling on Ahsoka's decision won't bring her back." "I miss her, okay? Is that what you wanted me to say?" "She made the decision, Anakin. She chose to leave." "And what choice did we give her? The moment there were any suspicions about her loyalty, the council turned their back on her!" -Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker "My master abandoned me, and that's exactly what you did to [Ahsoka]. You and your precious Jedi Order." -Asajj Ventress Barriss was right, even if she had the wrong way of proving her point. The Jedi did fall, long before their extinction. So blind that they couldn't see the Sith Lord hidden in plain sight, right in front of them. So arrogant that they joined a galaxy-wide conflict with an army created under *very* suspicious circumstances. So fearful that, when they discovered that their enemies created an army for them, they decided to cover it up. So militaristic that they cast out and demonized one of their own under what was circumstantial evidence at best. So traditional that they refused to accept that, maybe, Anakin was meant to be their evolution. If anything, their destruction was their own fault and, perhaps, one of the best things to happen to the galaxy in the long run.
The kidnapped children into thare cult Officially the parents gave the kids willingly but really they were forced to give the children up by rupublic law
That's not unpopular. I think a lot of people think that way for a lot of different reasons. (Sorry this is long). The only reason I would say they had to end is they were flawed in a few small ways that stacked up and needed to change. Being limited to helping the Republic and choosing to not have a say in politics (among other things) probably could've been corrected another way, but destiny chose whiping the slate clean. *Mistakes:* I don't consider these flaws due to corruption, disconnection, or dogma, just shortsightedness, which is a flaw every sentient has. However I don't agree with those saying their end was a sign that they were bad and their was no other way to correct it. *-Hindsight:* We the viewers can see the bigger picture and say they had it coming, but they're limited to the view of their role and situation. To me Treya best represents fans view, we look at the story like a historian rather than a person living in that situation, and think it's so obvious. ua-cam.com/video/_3Jl8aQOrQ4/v-deo.html *-Politics:* Even if they could sense the dark side around Palpatine, it would've looked the same as a mysterious, respected religion saying a legally elected leader is a demon for... reasons, they just feel it. Not publicly voicing their opinion on signs of corruption is a problem, but a hunch that the sith is near likely isn't as important to them as the reality that they should *try* to protect and enforce justice, but while Democracy is cool, being in some kind of contract with the Republic at all is understandable, but not the ideal position for the Jedi. "But it's never over, Malicos. We stand here now with a chance to learn, and to rebuild from our mistakes." -Cal Kestis Of course I don't take this too literally. But forgiving them for being flawed people, learning, and making a new life is the interpretation I'm going with. Emphasis on forgiveness. Recognizing good doesn't mean flawlessness, and flaws aren't a sign of evil.
@@skyguysproduction5439 Of course. But the rest of the jedi waste their talents upholding an order that doesn’t stand for the people. Yoda is the worst
@@cedricgrande9406 That’s what ACAB means ;) As Ahsoka learned when she left the order, it doesn’t matter how well intentioned you are as a jedi if the order itself is corrupt/not working for the people. There were obviously good jedi, but the jedi order was not good.
