So the reason its so expensive is because the way the game calculates how many tanks can be spawned takes total space into account, so if your tank has a load of space its not going to spawn as many tanks, no matter how bad the tank actually is. Also APHE has significantly worse pen in this game no matter the gun. again, also, you didn't need to add all those reverse gears considering everyone past the first one has the same ratio, you could get rid of the last two and still achieve the same speed.
@@nesyboi9421 Just checked the game right now; it's still restricted by purely weight. (For some reason listed as "metal") Wouldn't be surprised if the dev changed howthat worked in the future though.
Yh it’s so strange hearing him speak without a script but considering this is his first time doing it as far as I can remember he did really well and I’d love to see some more live commentary
Hey. Just wanted to mention that the reason the Sherman was so expensive is because of its weight. It's exactly 33.9 tons and the budget is 100 tons. meaning it could only spawn 2 complete (or 2.9) tanks. Try to get it under 33,3 tons and/or you can change the budget to 200% in the settings. :)
You know i do found myself in love with the more natural way of speaking rather than going on a script, it feels quite enjoyable, i don't want to say that it sounds more natural or human but i have to admit it, allowing those moments that you got caught off guard or didn't expect something is something i could get used to
I honestly really like your live commentary, I like hearing your thoughts as they happen, a few made me chuckles and one made me full on laugh, penning the tiger II at the end and you're just like " o h "
Spookston, I just wanted to tell you that I really haven't played Warthunder since I was in highschool about 5 years ago yet you've always kept me watching your videos purely because of your unique style of videos. You have a very brief, direct, and concise script and you could be playing literally any game and I'd still watch you videos. Thank you for the great content.
I've been thinking about that. Slap a Pershing turret on a Jumbo, probably put a better engine and gearbox in, and boom, no need for the actual Pershing.
I actually recently made a Italian tank based on the parameters and limitations the Italians had in the middle of the war, is was a very fun experience, unfortunately shadowplay didn't record the process so I couldn't make a video on it.
Really liking the new sprocket content. I think it’s going to be cool seeing this game grow and develop, and with channels like yours showing it off it’ll hopefully get a decent player base. Also, you can hold F to extinguish engine fires.(although sometimes it doesn’t work)
I really enjoy this type of video a lot because it applies the kind of upgrades that would only be theoretical and you can test things about a tank that you couldn’t in real life. Exceptional video
The firefly is fine, but it makes many sacrifices to get that 17 pounder in. The 76 with wide tracks and HVSS is much better in terms of a balanced yet deadly tank.
Listening to the audio from when you play with your friends in you 'Balanced' videos, along with how you talk, always makes me laugh. Keep up the good work man!
I like how the Sherman looks like someone took an M113 APC, add some turret and gun, while also adding a bow gunner's position. Honestly this could pass off as a 1960s WW2 Movie prop ayyy
I really like the live commentary, it's still a bit rough around the edges but I'm sure that comes with time as you get more used to the different recording style. Love to see more!
I like the idea of adding a welded extra front plate to non jumbo M4s as a modification. Even with the Sherman’s angled front plate, late war tanks can pretty reliably get through it, killing the tank instantly.
Kind of cool to see that your Sherman looks a lot like mine. One thing you can mess with to help turret room is the turret ring, messing with its height and diameter can give you a bit more room in the turret.
weirdly enough, the 75mm sherman had no problems punching through tigers and panthers, to the point that the army didnt want the 76 because they didnt have a need for it at the time (that would change i believe) so its performance in warthunder is quite perplexing.
Yes it is, the blueprints are in This PC/Users/your username/Documents/My Games/Sprocket/Factions/your facion/Blueprints/Vehicles I did this off memory so this might not be so accurate
"the issue is that we can't really angle because of the sides"
*immediately gets obliterated*
How to improve Sherman:
1. convert into Abrams
2. profit
YOU GENIUS HOW ARE YOU STILL NOT HIRED AS A TANK DESIGNER
Drive it over a bridge, I dare you.
Even better, convert it into the M1A2C
A true spoon supporter knows the HSTVL is the only tank at top tier

I love his "caught off guard/unexpected" comments like when he killed the Tiger II by shooting it through what looked like the gun mantlet lol
Well croshair was on turrets front not mantlet, and i think here Tiger 2 Has only 150mm on turret front.
@@Michalinus The H has a 185mm mantlet
@@Doomsgate in reality yes. But Tiger 2 in sprocket have 150mm
@@Michalinus oh ok didn’t know
@@Doomsgate no problem, i learned it after somehow my tank with around 150 mm pen destroyed this Tiger 2 from spawn
That live commentary is so nice dude. You definetly need to do that more. I love your voice with live commentary
Yeah it sounds less roboty
It’s very satisfying tbh. Like a war thunder babish lol
Agree 100 percent
I agree
It sounds more honest in my opinion as well, less distant.
That little “Ok” at the end was adorable.
I can agree
Totally agree
“And morbo’s good friend, Spookston.” “Hey morbo, how’s the sprocket tanks?” “Belligerent and Numerous.” “Good man.”

again, also, you didn't need to add all those reverse gears considering everyone past the first one has the same ratio, you could get rid of the last two and still achieve the same speed.
Is it volume now? I thought the amount you can bring in is decided by weight.
@@dodobird679 Weight plays a part too. Its not one singular thing that decides it really. Or at least that's what I've heard, I could be wrong.
@@nesyboi9421 Just checked the game right now; it's still restricted by purely weight. (For some reason listed as "metal")

@@dodobird679 well I have been doing everything wrong then
It only take weight into account, and every era have different weight limit
Even though its a live recording, your speech is so well composed it sounds like its scripted. (Complement)
For the most part yes

I love how the entry hatches function as afterburners.....

honestly, you speaking without being in critical form, as it is usually is lovely. 👍
You can actually angle the rear of the hull to give it that sloped engine deck. Think you grab the top edge and move it forwards.
Problem is, that takes the whole hull roof and angles it not just a section, you can't subdivide the roof into sections and change those heights yet
@@tigerbattle I think you can by pushing an back White edge and push it forward, I remember a tank where I done a sherman hull.
You know i do found myself in love with the more natural way of speaking rather than going on a script, it feels quite enjoyable, i don't want to say that it sounds more natural or human but i have to admit it, allowing those moments that you got caught off guard or didn't expect something is something i could get used to
Ha, I was playing sprocket today and build a look alike Jumbo, it finally solved my problems on the Fields scenario
it would be amazing to see you "review" community designs that are posted on their discord and speculate on how well it would do in real life
Please make more of these, I like how they're composed

You should definitely do more Live Comentary style videos. As long as you're happy with the content you make, I'll be happy consuming it :)

Since the sherman could mount an m26 turret that means it could mount the super pershings gun! (Not taking weight or space into account of course)

I'm waiting for multiple cannon setups so I can do "Improving the M3 Lee"
This live commentary is actually kinda nice Always neat to see something new
this was great, I just overall like Sprocket's concept, and love seeing you play it!
Jumbo 17 pounder with that calliope rocket thing. Put it at 6.7. Thats ultimate sherman.
This just prooves that the Churchill was the best allied tank even more so now ;)

This Video was a pleasure. Would love to have more of these build vids with live commentary.
Not gonna lie this video reminds me of those group presentations we had to do in class. The long pauses are perfect.
Very refreshing, keep adding sprocket stuff as content as well because it really works out for hypothetical situations for tanks.

war thunder german main playing sprocket: “where my smoke go”
This could be the start of an interesting series about how to improve tanks
You actually can angle the rear of the tank by setting an extremely high rear glacis, right around 80°
For a game i dont even play i get hype when i see the drop
PLEASE MAKE MORE
You are an incredible editor, and there are a lot of perfectly timed cuts here that makes the video so much more entertaining.
hearing your voice with a tiny amount of emotion in it is so weird and fascinating
I think this might be a really good series for you to carry on with
The ultimate Sherman already exists; it's called the Firefly.
Silence, subject.
The firefly is fine, but it makes many sacrifices to get that 17 pounder in.
The 76 with wide tracks and HVSS is much better in terms of a balanced yet deadly tank.
At the end that little "oh ok..." excellent lol
You should do some more commentaries like this! I love seeing your curiosity and your reactions to situations
This could be a series, maxxing out a tank with the best aspects of all of its variants, plus you get to play Sprocket more
When he said "Oh ok" at the end... that got me and idk why😂
The live commentary is pretty nice without seeing much editing. Please keep doing them. Their pretty nice
I find the live commentary pretty hilarious. Would love to see more of it.

"oh. okay" just. the emotion in that phrase.
This live commentary spookston is very interesting and enjoyable. I rate 10/10 would watch more
I like this kind of video. It’s a bit less dense than your other videos which makes it quite enjoyable
This is the first time I've seen gameplay of this...holy fuck manz I've waited for a video game just like this for OVER TEN YEARS.

A Sherman Jumbo 76 with a 126mm frontal armour? Yes please Even Long 88s will struggle penning that from the front.
