These cards are just amazing!! What cool techniques! I wouldn’t normally consider glitter as a man’s card, but your cards certainly changed my mind! Many thanks
I always love to do this technique! I also put lace on my sticky side cover it with glitter and burnish it in, lift up the lace and use another color of glitter to fill in. I usually trim it before I apply the lace and glitter to the size I need.
Wow Gerry, these sparkly backgrounds are gorgeous. I do love me some good glitters!! Great tips too, and this is why your channel rocks!! Heartfelt thanks for your creative genius!!🧡🦋🧡
If you run the sparkley card through your diecutting machine, between some paper, the glitter will be pressed in very firmly, and going nowhere. Thanks for a lot of great ideas for using up some of the glitter. 👍🏻
These look gorgeous! I’m just a beginner at making cards, and I have no ink pads at all, but I can swipe lots of glitter from my granddaughter! So this technique opens up a whole world of fun.
Awesome and inspiring! I have a lot of glitter and have been trying to figure out new ways to use it. Thank you so much for sharing all your wonderful ideas! You are so talented!
Gerry!!! Thanks so so much sharing!!! This was so helpful and awesome ideas!! I have a lot of glitter and have not used them for a long time!! I will be trying all your ideas!!! Thanks again my friend!!!
Wonderful backgrounds. I never got over my love for glitter from my childhood. It was always my favorite for every project. The variety of backgrounds offer lots of choices. I'm playing with my glitter this weekend.
What a wonderful video, thank you for all the good ideas with glitter (which I never use because it’s so messy!). I just need to get some coffee filters. ☺️
Thanks, you're welcome💕 About the coffee filters, ask around, mention to family and friends, what I've experienced everyone knows someone who has them somewhere and can get you a few and when working with glitter they will last a long time, you can use them over and over😉 Or you can check here: COFFEE FILTERS Clean ldli.co/e/xll31dd [ SimonSaysStamp ] or browse the internet😁
Hello...just found your site. Love it. Going through your passed videos. Been making cards for years and I'm excited to find someone with new ideas (ha for me anyway 😄). Thanks for sharing. Wanda (Canada 🇨🇦)
OMG...I never would have thought of using glitter like these...there are incredibile... Thank you Gerry so much for sharing all your creative ideas and for giving us so much inspiration into trying something different...they're absolutely stunning 😍
Great ideas and awesome designs! I like to burnish the glitter simply with my finger, as I have seen it done in tutorials by Els from Elizabeth Craft Designs. It looks even more bright and glittery that way.
Loving all of the different ideas. 💕 I use my bone folder or an old plastic gift card for burnishing the glitter into the adhesive. I also.use a spray varnish on top to make sure none of the glitter comes off afterwards. I then leave it overnight to dry completely and even years later that glitter still doesn't rub off. 😀
Gerry, thanks for the wonderful ideas for glitter! I have so much glitter that I wanted to use it up in interesting ways and you have helped me do that! I decided, though, that I am going to do this outside when the weather gets a little cooler...it is 37*C here still at 8 p.m. in southern Alberta
Oh so true!!!!! I live in the same area and was doing messy crafts in my garage until the heat wave started, then I had to pack it all up. Will I get out there again this summer???
Fun to see all of your ideas. I agree with Ardyth, the rainbow colors are the most beautiful 🥰🌈 A pitty these affiliate links aren’t available for the Netherlands. 😩 crafty greetings 🤗 CISVOLK
Hi Gerry, they were great tips and awesome glitter backgrounds, thank you for sharing them with us. I also forgot to get back to you regarding those classes that you were going to have, I’m interested in trying them out, when are you going to do your 1st class please love?
thanks, you're welcome💖 the first class was last Tuesday and we had lots of fun, you can sign up for the replay if you like: www.gerryscraftclasses.com/craft-along-patterned-paper or sign up to the list, to get a notification when there will be a new one: gerryscraftroom.com/Craft-along
I used the die to cut the shape out of the double-sided adhesive backing, so the paper that's on one side of the double-sided adhesive, and then just run it through the die-cutting machine like with regular paper, I hope this helps💕
@@GerrysCraftRoom I am still confused because I am inexperienced with the double sided adhesive ( having just recently bought some finally) but not sure how it stuck to the card panel if it is just the backing sheet. Sorry .....
@@wendywell4864 that's an easy one, the card panel has double-sided adhesive on it, so the sticky side, so after cutting the backing sheet (I took of the double-sided adhesive) I put that back on the sticky card panel again, I think that makes it more clear for you😉
No need for less mess tips and time-saving hacks? The first technique starts at 2:23😉
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous, sparkly cards! Love, love love!
