PS the parade is not only about armed forces but also highlights of history and regional culture, the theme of future visions of India. India gate resembles Arc de Triomphe but they have similar architectures in US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand that I know of. Maybe it is a standard structure to signify War heros.

The line uttered by the boy in 11:23 "Hindi-Chini Bhai Bhai" was coined by the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. It denoted the friendship that prevailed in the 1950s between India and China. The line translates to India and China are brothers. The bonhomie disappeared after the Chinese Aggression in 1962. Jawaharlal Nehru later found that China was "arrogant, devious, hypocritical and thoroughly unreliable," something most Indians still believe.

Subhash Chandra Bose was a prominent figure in our History. He early on joined Gandhi ji in his freedom struggles but then realise that non violence is not the way as Freedom is something one should take rather than ask for it. So, he went to many countries even met Hitler to get support against Britishers as you know it was the time of WW2 in the 1940s. On the other hand Japan was dominating in East Asia and they defeated British Indian soldiers in Singapore and took them war prisoners. There Bose found an opportunity and shake hands with the Japanese and took those Indian soldiers and made Indian National Army to fight British. They launched battles in Eastern India with Japan and sadly fought there own brothers of British Indian Forces. They lose eventually and three of INA generals were captured.
There British made a mistake. They announced publicly that they gonna hang three generals of INA to set an example and fear among Indians. But when Indians got to know that a whole army was coming to save them and that too made by Bose, it just sparked flames among all Indians and even Armed Forces. Then the Royal Indian Navy Mutiny of 1946 happened. All this events made Britishers to leave India the very next Year.

"Netaji" Subhash Chandra Bose stablished "Indian National Army" with the help of Rasbihari Bose and the Japanese. 70% of the British force (British Indian Army) fought in the WW2 were Indian. most of them killed, few became POW.
Netaji met Hitlar, Hitlar was impressed by him, Hitlar wanted to help him, but India is far away from Germany, then Hitlar suggest him to go to Japan(Germany and Japan were Axis) Hitlar gave him a U2 boat to reach Japan. He also convinced the Japanese and they freed all the Indian POW, because we both were against the British that time. Then he created a new army(INA) with help of a Indian POW Rasbihari Bose, he was fighting for the British Indian Army, against Japanese and Germany. 👍

There are three national days in India
    1. Independence day - 15th August
    2. Republic Day - 26th January
    3. Birthday of Mahatma Gandhi - 2nd October
Apart form all these every state has their own holidays, I am from West Bengal and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is in our blood, also his birthday (23rd january) is a holiday in our state

Was in Delhi at the same time and same place : Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. Taxis and rickshaw walas are a nuisance in Delhi for everyone. Locals & policemen helped me everywhere to explore Delhi. I took Uber, dtc bus and metro everywhere except the last day when I had to go to the railway station with my luggage. Winter is the best time to visit and explore Delhi.

Just a small correction Pierre, It's "India Gate" and not Indian Gate as u said sometimes in the vid...There is a Gateway of India in Mumbai and looks similar to it...

Hey Frenchy .... About India Gate of New Delhi and Arc-de-Triomphe of Paris (that was designed by Jean Chalgrin) and later on in inspiration of that India Gate was made by Sir Edwin Lutyen under British Rule in India. So, credit should go indirectly to France and directly to UK, for India Gate.
