  • Filmed on Sunday 2nd October 2016 following a 350-mile drive from Southend-on-Sea arriving 6 hours later at Birker Fell Road near Devoke Water in the Lake District. This walk follows the 32nd Chapter in Alfred Wainwrights Pictorial Guide the Outlying Fells of Lakeland and visits the Summits of HESK FELL and THE PIKE. On the same day we take a shortened walk looking at the summit of IRTON PIKE as described in the 38th chapter of the book. On these routes we visit an old Copper Quarry workings and look at some ancient enclosures and cairns. A lovely 5 mile walk that tests the stamina as well followed by a 1.5 mile bimble.
Chris Pye, Dave Galloway and Graham Saunders are the team on tour.
Music is by Above and Beyond with firstly ‘Filmic’ then ‘Sun in your eyes’ and ‘Tri-State’. The video ends with another track by 7and5 called ‘No Moon, Fallen Stars’
Correction to Text in the Video: Duddon Valley (Not Dudden)
