- Watch these amazing Indian Air Force MiG-29UPGs returning from a military exercise.
The MiG-29s were originally designed and developed to counter American threats like F-16 and F/A-18s and to compliment aircraft like Su-27. However, since their introduction, the aircraft has gone through a series of upgrades all over the world and is one of the most produced aircraft ever built with 1600+ units built by now. The MiG-29 is the only aircraft in IAF after Dassault Rafale to have an internal EW Suite. The D-29 EW suite of Mig-29 UPG is made by DRDO’s Defence avionics research establishment lab, Israeli Elisra, and Italian Electronica.

MiG 29 was the last fighter I flew before my retirement in 2006 . Very fond memories
its from Adampur airbase ?
@@happyvelly3066 no I was an instructor at TACDE .
@@aroopghosh1381 Does that imply that you were a Master Green pilot, boss??
@@sanjaymendiratta2271 just another fighter pilot. 🙏
@@aroopghosh1381 What is your opinion on Russian fighter jets such as MiG 29 and Su 30s in terms of performance, reliability and efficiency compared to western counterparts such as Rafale, Eurofighter, F22, F/A 18 etc?
This jet still looks like it could serve for the next 50 years.
Please bring Tejas video as well
Yes.. Plz upload a video on somosaa,/teja, we wanted to see
🙌
@John Hero didn't ask my son lol

Damn , Amazing Job bhai 🎥📸📸
And those closed air intakes always look incredible .
Fulcrum has always played the role of a power booster for the IAF.
UPG have lost paint color so early. No doubt it is keeping Chinese J11/J10 at bay. We need a fast interceptor like mig 29 above mach 2.2 speed but only fighter which can go beyond mach 2.2 is F15 and it is a large eagle which can be seen from long distance by s400. So a medium weight fighter is lethal which is fast. We will have TEDBF airforce version capable to matching this speed i guess.
@@bowman3431 Tejas MK2 is the only successor. Like it or not
@@Krishnendu792 With a reliable American engine, it will be the most important fighter for the IAF.
@@yorisingrango9837 it will be IAF's F16
This is not Mig 29 but Sukhoi 30
What a beautiful jet
Tiger Of Indian Air force
What a mean looking machine!
The UPG looks pregnant though, I hope it gives birth to the great twins... The AMCA and the TEDBF
Wow absolutely stunning footage!
Epic! Happy Independence day!
Thanks @aviation wall
Excellent 👍🏼❤️
The hot and humid weather in India takes a toll on every kind of aircraft.
we need India specific research to make up for the opposing weather.
So great
MIG -29 Bharat Rakshak 🇮🇳👌💪
Mean beauty 😍
How about planting some shrubs and plants around the periphery.. and make the place look green and nice. ?
Fulcrum ❤️ Flanker
👍

Why are the main air inlet ducts shielded? or is it only during ground operation?
This is a special feature of mig 29 to prevent engines while taxing. It has special air inlets on the upper side for side for this.
@@jatinmalik1932 Thanks👍🏽
@John Hero thanks👍🏽
Why is it seem from the sideway angle that "patre velding kiye hue h" 1:25
Did not know that the UPGs are equipped with the refueler probes !
Halwara?
That back hump looks unusual, may be an extra fuel tank ?
For many years i faced issues in differentiating between a mig 29 & sukhoi... then one of my friend just asked me too look for the kinda hump on mig 29's back.. n that was it 😆
Mig29 belongs to which generation?
Fourth generation fighter along with F-16s, Mirage2000s and F-15s
The planes need at least one fresh coat of paint!!
Isme kya dekhaya he aap ne, aise like batorna he....?
The aircraft needs some paint job!!
Kabhii Tejas ko fly krain gee to videos Ae gii😂😂😂
old man on runway lol

These Mig 29s look super old. They're probably from the 80s. Mig 29 has had a terrible reputation in air to air combat. Mig 29 losses of Iraqi airforce during Operation Desert Storm was pityful.

India should take entire technology from russia make indiginious mig 29.
Mig 29 were at the forefront in Ladakh they were conducting regular sorties beyond their permitted flying hours the airframe looks pretty beaten up, and these are the UPGs. Russian equipments and their support service aren't very reliable. Hope IAF get rid of them as soon as possible.

Window maker of IAF. Low quality MiG must be faced out soon and induct quality freighters. Tejas is much better than this.
Expired item.
Like you are long charred 😀😀😀
Prehistoric crap of Indian Airforce. Be proud of them 😂😂😂
Imran khan has taken entire pakistan to pre historic age
Rusty,
Patchy, dirty! Just look at the horrible state that plane is in.
The oil stains on the fuselage is a proof that aircraft is not a showpiece and is being used extensively and is fully operational capable. Keep in mind, every asset is thoroughly checked by IAF’s capable technicians before they get airborne. These are war birds and are not for ramp walk in a fashion show. They are used almost on daily basis, pushed to their limits to keep them fit for actual action.
How can someone be so stupid ?😂
