@@Z_E_B_O I did a careful process to get it both deinterlaced and upscaled for that good look even on UA-cam!
Also I know you're in PAL territory, so even playing the DVD into a CRT TV would look weird where you are.
@@theFirstMark Never noticed anything, but I also always used my xbox to play DVDs.
A PAL TV will have a refresh rate of 50hz and a different screen size. Any dvd player on that system will resize the NTSC picture and then play it back at a different refresh rate from the actual video (60fps). If I upload a PAL source, the framerate will be 50FPS.
@@Z_E_B_O I have a PAL DVD that I've played using a multi-region NTSC DVD player, and it does the same thing but in reverse. It squishes the PAL frame and then seems to truncate it to 30fps progressive, or at least pseudo-progressive. It doesn't look that bad, but it's not even close to a properly deinterlaced PAL file from a computer on the same screen.
