I'm so glad that the white knight survived in holding off the Jabberwock while Alice makes her escape. It's almost sad that she admits she's grown up now, but it was the only way to stop the Jabberwock. She saved not only herself, but her friends in Wonderland who will never forget her. And she will never forget them. IT almost makes me wanna cry as they say goodbye to her.

@Britney's Corner Actually, on the 2010 movie of "Alice In Wonderland" with Mia Wasikowska as Alice (that's the movie where I found out that Alice had a last name which is Kingsleigh), Alice was a teenager on that movie and she became a ship crew person and not an author so she wouldn't have any reason to write a book about Wonderland while having a job on a ship.
I remember when I saw this as a kid, being glad that you see the White Knight here, I was afraid that he had been killed fighting the Jabberwocky. I always thought it was cool that even though he was so old, he was the only one with enough guts to actually try to fight the beast, so it was nice to see here that he survived.

My thoughts exactly. The armour still protected him enough. He was trained in defence while the Queen of Hearts' soldiers were trained in offence, ex. chopping off heads.
I grew up with this movie! I honestly don't know where it came from though. My mom got it for me, along with a few other Alice In Wonderland movies. I loved the story as a child!
I can tell you where it came from! it aired on December 9th and the 13th?(Monday and Friday) 1985 on CBS. I know this because I watched it on its first airing and it was( not to sound corny) Magical!
This was one of those "TV Movies" that were popular in the 80's. I actually recall watching some of this when I was in daycare a year before I started preschool.
+Marc Fried it is a very magical scene. especially because they have alice played by such a young girl like in the books. you can truly see how young she is, and how confused, but she was brave and tried her best. I think it's really captures the way most kids feel when they see adults fighting, but through a child's eyes, right and wrong is so clear. It's good that Alice finally got some acknowledgment.

However, the mouse probably didn't get along with her because, he kind of laughed at her and ran around her with his other animal friends after he sang the song "I Hate Dogs And Cats" where Alice told him and his animal friends that they have no manners.
This ending, its so gentle and suttle for the ending of Alices adventure. It makes you wish it would never end and then that the valiant selfless white knight did not perish against that beast who had nothing but love for the little girl just kind of pushed it past the tear jerking point. Splended finish to this cute tail, will never forget it.-Games32

I used to rent the wonderland portion as a kid and never knew there was a second part until I was older, but it had to have a different ending than this since she never goes through the looking glass until the second portion. Did they just cut it off before they started singing this song?
I definately think and feel that the characters were singing to her from the "other side"...that is heaven...and wonderland was like a heavenly place where she learned how to be mature from the characters. Like watching a youtube video you stumble upon knowing for some reason that video was meant for you and only you although others can watch it too.....the characters were heavenly angels singing from the other side of the mirror...and they were watching over her....

Also, I guess the Mad Hatter, the Dormouse, the March Hare, and the Queen of Hearts felt that if Alice didn't act brave towards the Jaberwocky, they all would have died. (However, before the Jaberwocky, all four of them were happy and congratulating her for being a Queen).
One Natalie Gregory's most famous roles and she did a good job. Natalie left acting in 1990, probably in favor of pursuing other things. She went to college and earned a degree in physics. She got married in 1997. She and her husband are still married and have 2 children.
Alice inspired the characters or actors to be better characters....and the characters inspired alice to be a better person. It's like they are singing as themselves and not as the characters they played while wearing their characters costumes.

To be punctual......2. To say how do you and shake hands during a visit.... 3. Raising a child is a big responsibility (cook and dutches)......4. You must need to take charge (queen of hearts).....5. Speak when your spoken too (red queen)......6. Respect authority (queen of hearts)......7. It's rude to be at a party when your not invited(tea party).......8. It's good to know poetry.......9. When the Queen of hearts says to the king near the end of part 1 "didnt I tell you that heads will roll" she really meant folks will be in serious trouble.....
I never thought the queen of hearts was mean and nasty...I think she was demonstrating tough love to Alice...and teaching Alice to be very strong willed. And showing Alice that even in the grown up world, there are cruel people she won't get along with. The queen of hearts was showing Alice that insubordination is a sign of immaturity and adults need to take command !
So the cast was looking at their own reflections while singing...while ALice could see them.......why isnt Alice seeing her own reflection! This mirror is one of those special observational mirrors!

At the end here when the Wonderland characters are saying goodbye to Alice, are they really there saying goodbye or is Alice just imagining them? I would have assumed she was imagining them because after she confronted the Jabberwocky claiming that it's not real but just a part of her imagination and when it disappeared, the next scene showed her mother seeing her sleeping in a chair where she woke her up saying that she can join them for tea where she was just dreaming that she was in Wonderland. Another reason I assume she's imagining the Wonderland characters here is because, on the Disney cartoon of Alice In Wonderland, it showed her waking up which explained that she had a dream of being in Wonderland.
Some of you say the ending makes you tear up, well if you look closely at the end, you'll notice Alice has tears in her eyes, too.

Lots of other actors from this move have died some of the characters from the first part as well.
I wonder if they were singing from their hearts with sincerity because they probably would never see Natalie Gregory(alice) again after filimg.
She DID go on to voice Jenny in "Oliver and Company." She might have done a few small little projects since then but I'm not sure.
