Nice bike ! I have a 06 k1200s I’m selling on FB marketplace and just got a 2012 k1300s with the quick shifter! .. these bikes are incredible ! what a great ride ! I like your stand ..where could I purchase one ? Your seat looks more comfortable than the stock . Did you purchase it and where if so? Thankyou
I have from 2017 the k1200s 2008, never had better bike before.I had many touring sport bikes as gsxr1300, zzr 1100, zx10 and other but the k1200s still have it and i will keep it until the end.Unique beauty, "Power", stability everywhere, easy repair if you buy diagnostic tool. The only problems i had was connector petrol hoses in tank (plastic crap) , and the sensor presssure tyres ( battery finish), also the valves in wheels are not the best aluminium as in all BMW factory cars&bikes.I have in my mind to buy k1300s soon.
@@motorbikeshed5989 Your bike look fantastic and to buy yours its a lttle difficult because i live in Europe and in my country you cant have bike or car import from country out of Europe, idiot politics.
the red light is brake and ABS check. It will blink until you start moving as the system can check your ABS. When the sensor send data to the ECU unit and all is OK then the warning light goes away. That is standard for BMW.
I never intended to put any comments or reviews really about my bikes ... everyone has they own taste and always there is someone who knows things better :) My videos ware only for me, but then I release them to the public. ... I can give you few things about my K1300S It is just a fantastic bike, more powerful then the K1200S (the Bumblebee). The problems which you see with K1200S where step motor is trying to adjust idling speed, and you can notice RPM change while idling, is much improved in K1300S, but you will still notice this. Not sure if I can call this really "a problem", but it is something what you will see and notice. The K1300S has much better oil flow in clutch area which effect with great improvement of the clutch life compering with the K1200S. My 2009 K1300S is equipped with factory BMW quick-shifter which work for my taste just fantastic. In my 2005 K1200S I had very good aftermarket quick-shifter with many adjustable parameters, but it was not the same as this one. Also compering to 2021 R1250GS with quick-shifter (or like BMW call it shifter-pro) the K1300S factory is way better. The only issue which I know you may face with the time, is the oil leakage from the valve cover gasket. Exactly in the the front corners area. The gasket is not really expensive, but to get there is a lot of work. My K1300S has already new gasket installed. This bike is really comfortable (but consider switching the seat) and fast. The riding position is good for fast riding as well as for cruising. If you maintain as needed, you get many thousand miles on those bikes. Btw .... I am going to list my K1300S most likely soon in case anyone is interested :) Cheers!
He'll from South Africa 🇿🇦. You have such a beautiful and well kept K13. I am currently looking for one. I noticed that on some bikes I see online, the speedometer needle is red. do you know why are some needles are red and some white, like your one? I know all the tachometers have a red needle.... Thanks for sharing your awesome machine...
Hi, thanks! Unfortunately I do not know why some of the bike has red and some white needle. I thought when the back of the speedometer is white then the needle is red and with the black the needle is white. Not sure. Cheers and good luck finding nice one K1300S!
there is special mount from Hornig which you can use. I am using mounted in to handle bar from the center then short RAM connection then the quad lock. It is working great as there is limited space on the handlebar a not much possibilities to attach anything.
