Thank you very much! Your videos on the Tasman has helped me prep mine. Returning back to the sport after 25 years. (BOY WHAT A DIFFERENCE) This will be my plane back into the sport. (UH) Now to the radio!
Hi m8 great video however I missed the name of the spray to protect the paint on this modal The Tazman Trainer. im in the uk can you tell me what is required.Happy new year and keep up the good work :) Andy Watts
after watching your post build ( I find all your build videos " EXTREMELY " helpful ) , I recently picked up this PNP 1500mm Tasman ...I haven't seen much about the X Fly brand.....but the quality looks pretty good, the price was very reasonable and speaking as someone wanting a plane that is easy to build, both a trainer and sport flyer with 4S power , I am looking forward to flying this plane in the spring.... nice informative video ... ....thanks big guy
Allô from Québec Canada i have Tasman know did you try 12 or 13 prop on it ? Try 11x5 wood but i will GO! For 12x5 if it coud idle it ! Tx have a good day mister
Hi there, hoping hear about the landing gear durability. I have a Valiant and the aluminum landing gear bends nearly with every less than ideal landing. How does this one compare? Any stress on either front and tail landing gear?
If we did not know better , I bet we would have thought it was an FMS model especially with that "ONE" spare screw.......and the quality - maybe its made in the same facility (FMS) .....
just looking at this plane to maybe buy..when on to youtube to find out more..chuft to see you have done a vid. ps going from your newer vids to your older vids like this one realised your gonna need to change your name.. FKAFGFRC. formaly known as fat guy flies rc. love lost weight in your newer vids.. God bless you my bro
Thanks for noticing , Yeah I have dropped over a hundred pounds from my biggest of 333 lb now down to 227. But the name of the channel is monetized so I am afraid to change it i dont want to create confusion.
This plane went together without a hitch and her maiden was also a huge success!

Great to hear! I prefer Spektrum radios but they are pricy.
The Finish on the X-Fly is the best ive ever seen anywhere.Smooth as Glass all around..makes eflite planes look super cheap
They are a good quality plane. I just pulled the trigger on the new Glastar V2.
Your a good man and i like you home style little work shop area
Thank you. Everything I know is elf taught. and therefore my terminology may be off from what hardcore rc pilots are used to but I do my best.
Thank you for all your tips, I am impressed with the quality of the plane. Keep it coming!
Thanks, will do!
Love the colors on this plane and 4s should rock.. Lookin forward to see how she flys
The maiden flight went well but a very windy day.

Thanks! The spray is called polyacrylic from the brand Minmax. if you don't have Minwax there then a water based acrylic spray should be fine.

I have sold the plane to a friend you lost a lot of planes in a fire. I remember it having very robust gear however.
