How about doing a one off video about the K&B motor. How to fine tune, what glow plugs to use. perhaps taking one apart so we can see the flex shaft. I did replace my gaskets but for some reason it still leaks oil through those gaskets. why is that?
ok, well thanks for replying. I do have a K&B outboard in which I just replaced the gaskets today so hopefully she will stay running. Yes she does have new fuel and the glow plug is working good. But I have anther K&B motor that is not like the one I have strapped to my boat. It seems the throttle is used through the exhaust. If this is the case were can I find parts for this motor and how do I connect it to my throttle?
I have the same motor, the throttle seems to be controlling the exhaust, but I’ve seen the same size k&b motors with the throttle in a different area! Still the exhaust motor works fine for me
This is the gold K&B carb we make. It only has a high speed needle adjustment. You can find it on the MECOA website . Search for part number 80-89 and all the 3.5 carbs will show up.
Slightly rich. It's an ABC engine so you don't want it too rich. You have to set the mixture with a load on the prop. You can't do it out of the water. Go to the FAQ section of the MECOA website and there are instructions how to set the different carbs.
Hi ive got a older 3.5 just like this it has no head gasket on it at all for some reason, is it ok to run it like this? It was my dads ,i just put new piston and sleeve in it and ready for the breakin procedure, im new to this ,also whats a good 15% fuel to run in her? Thanks !

Exactly which gasket is leaking? I suspect it may be coming from somewhere else.

what carburetor do you have? i have the same boat but my carburetor is garbage.
