HI! I hope you see this, currently I'm at BT. I love my job and would like to advance my career. I don't think I can afford to get a master's degree currently, are there a lot of careers being a BCaBA? Someone told me that those job's don't exist.

Why did you choose bcaba rather than Bcba ? I have one Bachelors and I finish my 2nd bachelors in spring. Tryna figure out if I wanna go for my masters
Go for the masters . I don’t know where you live but usually there is ALOT more career opportunities for BCBAs rather than BCaBAs . A lot of companies don’t need to use the assistants and they just hire RBTS and BCBAs
Hello:) I’m currently a psychology student and want to become a bcaba. My university says that you can’t get a credential in California. Do you know if that is true??😩 I’m scared of spending years of time and money on my degree for nothing
Why did you decide to become a BCaBA? Do you get higher pay compared to RBT? I’m trying to decide if it’s worth the money for the BCaBA sequence college classes. It will be about 5k to take all 5 classes. I don’t plan on getting my masters degree in ABA.
Hey there! I became a BCaBA because I wanted to be 100000% that this was the field for me before I got my Master’s. There is a pay difference, however there is a lot more work and responsibilities that come with it. Personally, I would really consider whether I want to stay in this field long term or not before I made any decisions. I hope this helps! Good luck!! :)

Hi, is there a huge difference between the salary of a bcba vs the salary of a bcaba? I am finding it difficult to find a accurate salary range for a bcaba. Is the salary of a bcba equivalent to that of a RBT?
Hey! There is a decent difference. The salaries of BCaBAs and BCBAs are significantly more than RBT in most cases. The difference between a BCaBA and BCBA varies across states, companies, and insurances, so it's hard to give an exact estimate. However, there is definitely a notable difference between all 3 positions.

@@myvisualdiares Hello! Based on my experience, the ABA coursework took around 10-12 months as it was 8 graduate classes. I would ask the school you are at to find out more!

At my company in IL bcbas start at 80k while bcabas are around 50k.

Hello! You can, however you will need to take the BCBA coursework and complete the fieldwork hours required by the BACB.
