How does the plastic cover on the barrel come off? I bought a replacement barrel with key and it's got a gray cover on and my cars silver.. Not wanting to break it. Thanks
Macca 95 Hiya, it was about a year ago when I did the video of the customers Audi car. As I recall the plastic cover has small lugs which hold on the cover. I would get a hairdryer and warm up the cover to help the plastic lugs give a little as they could break in this cold weather. Good luck. 😊
Cordell Smith just done mine, mines a 2008 and has a lip on the screw so it doesn't drop into the door card. The hardest part was getting the barrel back in
hi the plastic thing you pulled out had a key insert option....my 2011 Audi a5 S line did not have a key barrel how do i replace it? my whole door handle was stolen someone just yanked/ripped it off my right door...i just picked up the handle from the dealer but it does not have that key barrel any idea on what should it have behind the cap u pulled out?
Hiya Ahmed. Our we talking about keyless entry. (you have no key slots either side) on many other types of handle it's just replaced with a solid plastic part which is painted body colour. Ok. From 2:20 to 2:57 you DESCRIBE actions regarding the door handle assembly but do not actually perform the activities. There are different types of learners. When teaching, it is important to appeal to both auditory and visual learners. What you provided is only for auditory learners. They learn great the way you did it. However, a VISUAL learner must SEE the activity being done (Hence the phrase, "See one, do one". Therefore, as a visual learner, nothing during the time span mentioned was helpful to me. Also, I would point out that while your video is titled, How to remove 2011 Audi A5 door handle, you don't actually get around to removing the handle. I'm a mix of both but more visual so I didn't learn a thing. But thing is I didn't come here to actually learn anything just was curious Incase I needed to check it out one day. This is not a mechanics technical school, not a university, not a trade school, not anything but a media sharing platform. So with that comes MANY MANY options for you to choose from ALL FOR FREE!!
