That’s happening on my outside handle instead of the inside of the handle is this possible the same fix? Or should I bring it to a professional and spend an arm and leg?
Excellent video my A3 had a broken release mechanism and I struggled with those 8mm triple squares and the panel on the arm test was a bit*h.. love that Audi sweater ... can us novices find one somewhere? That was a $400 dealer job that you did in 15min LOL awesome 👍🏻
Hey man thanks for the video! Do you know how I can you open door if both outside and inside are not handles are not operating? Can I release door by removing limited accessible internal panel?
What is the screw/bolt (with rubber cover on it with the lock symbol on it) just above the stripped out bolt at 6:02 ? (Im having problems with my door and the mechanic played around with this to fix it)
Mine hooked underneath on the handle UK drivers side, couldn't hook it over the top, maybe it's different depending on the side of the car, or US and Europe versions. Also had an extra silver screw behind the door panel to move the locking mechanism. Other than that, the video was bang on for me
For rear doors, I just ran into this issue EXCEPT prior to pulling the door apart I engaged and disengaged the child lock on the side of the door with a screwdriver and it reengaged the inside door handle. What happened was my 4 year old kept pulling the handle when I tried to unlock the car and it somehow turned the black child lock screw. Lol
