This was so sweet. I could honestly see the little girl growing up to have a strong relationship with her uncle; maybe she even goes into music like him. A beautiful short story. Well done, everyone.

Absolutely wonderful. This was a beautiful story and it was complete. Many short films just don’t have an ending but this one was not only a complete story, but it was moving as well.
His little niece is exactly what he needed , I loved this little film , we all have a purpose , no matter how unimportant we feel , we all need a little in our lives
Yes, so much that I am 47 with a 5 year old. Who's younger than my grandchildren. LOL. More grand babies to come as the other children haven't had any yet. But it'll be a while before they give me any. 😂❤
Love this wonderful, heartwarming short film. Innocent little children have the power to touch the hearts of the most weary and hardened souls. Uncle Jeff clearly melted under "Bugger's" inconditional acceptance and love of him.
What a heart-warming, charming film, superbly acted by both the leads. Often children gravitate to the so called 'black sheep' of the family because they tend to be straight forward and honest with them. Both leads were wonderfully balanced, believable and natural and they worked so well together. Really impressive and extremely watchable movie.
Amazing, as someone mentioned in the comments the little girl's innocence and unconditional acceptance of him inspired him to live and breathe again, as it reminded him of what truly mattered in life, something he'd long forgotten. This is real art. P.S. they even got an Avalon 737 featured, this is 100% legit the preamp an old school world class instrumental musician would use even today.
Can attest. My husband and life partner is SO much like Uncle Jeff. His writing is fueled by his inner sadness , and his little Granddaughters adore him unconditionally. He’s an old-school musician as well. We even have a home full of concert posters like the one on his wall. This was SO good. It had me w tears running down my face. Bless the Bleeding Hearts and Artists who stand outside the Wall.
The director sure hit the jackpot here. Not only is everyone an outstanding actor and perfect for their role, but their aesthetics make sense. The actor who played Uncle Jeff happens to be white, the actress who played Claudia happens to be Asian, and the actress who played Miko happens to be half white and half Asian. These people who were perfect for their role also looked the part, making it all the more believable for the audience.
I had a godfather and 2 older cousins who were out of the box thinkers like him. Thank God for them because both parents were rigid , narrow minded and cruel .
I want to see them back together! She finally finds someone who cares about her & he's learning to love again. Astonishing film. Resonates with my deepest self.
Only a few minutes in but reminded of an ex's daughter who was about 5 at the time. She was playing while on her back and her legs were in the air and her mom said "That's not very lady-like". Without skipping a beat and her delivery adorably enhanced with a slight speech impediment, the 5-yr-old girl says "I'm not a Lady-- I'm a Woman!" 😂

A great little film. A bit of a slow burn for a short film but I really enjoyed it. Hats off to the writer or director or whoever had the girl climb in the guitar case. Very well observed of what a kid might randomly do. Her acting was amazing.
I love how Miko brought Jeff's head out of the clouds and back down to earth. Children have that affect on caregivers, keeps adults grounded and responsible. For me the director captured that perfectly. Jeff was able to go deep and start a healing process, he was inspired with success and with all Miko had heard and learned in her young 5yrs of life had little effect on her character because of this newfound unique soul connection she had made with her Uncle.... She was noones pain in the ass. A moving short film with the long living lizard at the end, classic.
That was so awesome! Miko was great and has a bright future as an actress if that's what she wants to pursue. And I want to download that song now too!

Different from all others in the family. And they still love me for that as they did way back when they were Miko’s age.
I've watched this three times. Just goes to show you the amazing people who influence our children's lives may be the unexpected heroes. The unappreciated and unsung hidden treasures waiting to be discovered. If only we open up our hearts to love.
This was so good and authentic. Excellent acting, writing and production, loved the characters of Miko and Jeff. When he explained about the photo in his wallet, wow, touched my heart.
I know there is the "difficulty level: Asian" meme, but I didn't think an Asian child would be set to such a mode by default. Medications, vitamins, allergies.... damn. In all honesty, it's the parent that's difficult. The child is a delight.
Wonderful film. The filmmaker has such an eye and way with storytelling! Looking forward to more from this incredible talent, Candice Carella, and her cast!
Thanks Allen. This film was enjoyable. Love the combination of the innocence of the little girl and the contrast with the rock star. Very deep. Nicely done.

Because "they say" doesn't mean it's correct.
Best omeleto short I’ve seen so far. Had me in tears . I’m a rock (well among other styles ) musician as well and it reminds me of when my nieces were little and I was their crazy uncle. Different from all others in the family. And they still love me for that as they did way back when they were Miko’s age.
This was so good! Great song,,,and perfect pet choice.
This has to be the most wholesome short film I have seen. Definitely in my top 3 favorites from Omeleto 😊
The little girl is adorable and already a great actress.
I've watched this three times.
Just goes to show you the amazing people who influence our children's lives may be the unexpected heroes. The unappreciated and unsung hidden treasures waiting to be discovered.
If only we open up our hearts to love.
This...this was nice. That little girl was a sweetheart.
Such a realistic, yet touching movie. A man and a child meld together thru selfless love! 💕🤗
This was so good and authentic. Excellent acting, writing and production, loved the characters of Miko and Jeff. When he explained about the photo in his wallet, wow, touched my heart.
Made me feel again
She is the cutest most mature 5 year old i have ever seen
What a wonderful story😍good actors!!! And Uncle Jeff is an awsome singer and songwriter!!! And I hope the mom allowed Bugger to keep the pet🥰
LMAO 🤣!!! I was expecting a kitten or puppy at the end. That scream was perfect!!!! Good old Uncle Jeff!!!
Too sweet, the innocence of a child and how they can see people for eho they truly are.
I thought uncle Jeff was gonna name the song Pony 😆
The fish funeral was sad and funny at the same time I love the mom's reaction to the new pet. 😂
I have a bearded dragon too.
I know there is the "difficulty level: Asian" meme, but I didn't think an Asian child would be set to such a mode by default. Medications, vitamins, allergies.... damn. In all honesty, it's the parent that's difficult. The child is a delight.
What??
i think i agree
That was everything a short film could be. Grear story line, sweet acting and a funeral-bravo!
Wonderful film. The filmmaker has such an eye and way with storytelling! Looking forward to more from this incredible talent, Candice Carella, and her cast!
Thanks 😊 Suzy
That little girl needs more exposure. She is a natural!!
What a wonderful little film. Girl is a sweetheart, great actor too.
This needs to be a series, best video in such a long time, hits differently than others
Thanks Allen. This film was enjoyable. Love the combination of the innocence of the little girl and the contrast with the rock star. Very deep. Nicely done.
Tear jerker and lots of laughs. The kid is a star!!!. Bravo to all involved.....absolutely love it
It's so powerful how they both were just meant for each and deeply touched each other hearts, she needed his drive, strength and realness, he needed her innocent take on life and unconditional love.
