    I’ve been romping on my 2016 701 Enduro for several years. Logged several thousand miles of dirt in Baja, MX where that bike truly excels. Love it and had zero mechanical issues with it despite its abuse. I’m leaving San Diego and headed east for a few years and intended on swapping the 701 Enduro for the 350 for tighter trails/single track. Being plated, I still ride like a wild jackal on the streets. Having a street riding background, I’m also considering the 2020 Vitpilen 701 to act like an A-hole on in the city. But damn, I think you just talked me into simply buying a quality set of supermoto wheels for the 701 Enduro instead. However, I do like the look of this bike. Choices....choices.

      @@MotoInsiders Would you recommend this as a first bike?
      Nowadays I see some people starting off with a ¬600cc, a friend of mine just bought the Honda CB650R.

      @@vladsta3833 pay less attention to displacement (cc) and more to the actual engine characteristics. The 701 is the most powerful production single ever made. Very torquey. A 600cc inline 4 supersport is a track bike and does not excel on the street. A 650 is a watered down bike so it has more torque and less top end power like a race bike. The 401 would be a great starter if you have never rode before! 701 is a very fast bike

    I dont know why the US market set the price on the bike so high when it’s was cheaper in other markets. Great that the lowered it! The 2020 vitpilen looks stunning in the new paint and new wheels.

    • @MotoInsiders
      @MotoInsiders  4 роки тому

      Definitely! I said it needed the wire wheels when it came out, but I think they were trying to capitalize on the "exotic import" thing and make some extra money on it. Either way awesome bike and now the price is right! Thanks for the comment

    Hey man thanks for the great review! I was talking to you today when I was picking up my 2020 Vitpilen 701. Thanks for taking the time to show me around the bike. I may hit you up in the future to talk about some performance mods! I know you weren't a big fan of the tires, any other tires you'd recommend for this bike?

    Why are my questions never answered, how much does the can weigh? Does the Akrapovic Duke 690 full exhaust fit without drilling holes? Can i order the front fender for the svartpilen to swap out? Other than Rotobox Boost CF wheels, does any other manufacturer make CF Wheels? Can i adjust the preload on the front fork (I know the compression dampening and rebound dampening is adjustable)? Where can i buy the rear chain adjuster to delete the rear wheel plate holder? How do i turn the music off? I want to hear the bike. My questions are never answered

    Which one do you like best? This one or a XSR700? I cant decide!

    • @MotoInsiders
      @MotoInsiders  4 роки тому +2

      Well the xsr700 is a parallel twin where this is a single cylinder. The xsr is also heavier. Over 400lbs where the vitpilen is about 340. They make almost the same HP but the 701 vitpilen makes more HP and torque. Other than that, the xsr is probably more comfortable, but throw a leg over both and see what seating position you prefer! Also the equipment on the Vitpilen is much higher quality, and it is more well equipped. Thanks for watching!

      @FasterThanSoup 4 роки тому +1

      Check out the slick and economical aftermarket bits for the XSR from JvB Moto called Super 7. All in its cheaper than the 701, well here in Canada.
      Also, check out Fort Nine review of the 701. Informative in a different way that complements this thorough review. Two voices I trust.

    Try owning one for 18 months then review it! One new fuel tank and two oil leaks plus electrical gremlins on mine. And don’t get me started on the rest of the bikes quality components! Arguing with Husqvarna about it now but the after sales care in the UK (Husqvarna Uk not my official dealer who has been great) has been shocking. In short great bike when you’re ringing the nuts out of it, but not good for a round town or commuting in heavy traffic as it vibrate way too much. Worst bike I have owned in my 30 years of riding. Borrowed a KTM 690smc much better package just to tall for me.

    • @MotoInsiders
      @MotoInsiders  4 роки тому

      Sorry to hear that. There's can always be a fluke lemon bike has issues. I've heard of the fuel tank line leaking but that would be warranty so shouldn't have cost you anything. Electrical issues are strange as well. Sorry you had a bad experience but I don't think 1 bad bike can take away from how amazing this bike is. I have no skin in the game cause its not mine but just for arguments sake.

    • @od1r73
      @od1r73 4 роки тому +2

      Motorcycle Insider No worries Fella you didn’t build it. If you look at the white arrow forum it is more than one lemon. But you are correct most things have been sorted under warranty which is why I say the dealer has been great. It is just a ball ache to take time off work get back to them as they are not close to me. Husqvarna UK have been the ones that do not want to know about the problems and issues I have with the bike and it’s been back at the dealer six weeks so far this time trying to get it sorted. Not what I expected from a new bike. Any way happy ridding and all the best for the future Chap.

      I describe my personal experience: bought one roughly 1.5 year ago, I use it as my daily commuter, everyday, winter as well (when it is above -3, which was the case almost always last winter). I had minor fuel leak problem after 2700km, it was fixed by warranty and took about an hour or so in the local dealership in Munich, Germany. That's basically all. It is not perfect for long tours, after all it is naked bike, but for city and and short rides around, I couldn't which another one.

    • @od1r73
      @od1r73 4 роки тому

      Anton Gorev I am glad you like it and have had very few issues it is a very pretty bike that’s for sure and fun to ride when it’s balls out just not around town for me. Got mine back about a month ago and they fixed and replaced lots of things and some I didn’t even ask about. My dealer went above and beyond to sort it for me and it looked better that the day I first got it. And as I have always said they have been brilliant and they were even not happy with the lack of help from Husqvarna! They said the list of fault codes was massive! But the main problem I have is still there, it is the vibration on the throttle side that makes my hands go numb after 10 minutes riding if I commute or ride around in traffic this is also dangerous because I cannot pull the front brake lever this what is ruining a lovely looking bike for me and some others owners I have seen on here have the same problem. And Husqvarna told me it was me not the bike!
      Do I like the bike = yes
      Would I recommend the bike =no way because of this and the problems I have had, Husqvarna’s own forum is full of people with problems with their bikes.
      Away I am glad you like, enjoy and yours has been problem free and wish you safe riding.

    • @MotoInsiders
      @MotoInsiders  4 роки тому +3

      That's the most powerful production single ever made and it is an amazing crisp powerful engine. Super lightweight and compact. You would spank an inline 4 on a track riding this bike. 74hp 54lbs/ft torque. 336lbs. Insanely quick and agile machine.
