Great video dude, I'll get mine next week - been watching many vids and had two test rides. Coming from a four cylinder GSR 600 I (still) immediately fell in love with the big single. It needs you to pay attention to the revs but gives you sooo much back! QS, the power to weight ratio and obviously the looks are just like icing on the cake :)
Your are spot on about riding it in town, wish I knew this before buying mine because I do most of my riding in town. (I live in a large town in the UK) So after 20 minutes it is a nightmare because it is mostly in the low rev range I get wicked vibrations at the bars and my right hand starts to go numb which is not fun. Do I like the bike Yes, would I recommend the bike No. I am deafly not a fan of the Svartpilen’s looks so would not consider that one. If they made the Vitpilen with straight bars I think this then could have been a very good all round bike?
Scandi MC I could but knowing my luck things like the wiring and brake and clutch hoses would not reach, then there is the ball ache of getting and swapping the top yoke. There are a few concept drawings on line (Pinterest) with straight bars which look pretty cool also. I am hoping they will make a 801 out of the KTM 790 which being a twin should be better at low revs. Anyway safe riding Chap.
I had same problem on my Vit 701. Got some foam grips and it made a massive difference! Takes a few days getting used to them but they really do work. Grip Puppy / Grip Puppies - Comfort grips www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B005C1U8R2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_v2SnDbTKJRVTH
Great review ! This engine has a big oil consumption for a lot of people (on the 690 SMC R and 701 Supermoto). What about you ? Did you have to put some oil in the engine between your rides ?
Hi! Really love this bike, probably gonna by one. One question: did you have any problem with the clutch / clutch slave? I see some owners reporting it
Hello!! What differences does vitpilen have compared to duke 690? that is to say, the duke has several modes of driving between them the sport, the vitpilen is how to carry the duke in sport or in conford mode? From what I see in the data sheets the vitpilen has 75cv and the duke 73cv, those 2 extra horses are noticeable? Or do you only notice at top speed? Thanks and regards!!
Payasoguai00078 the vitpilen has quickshifter, a more aggressive seating position. The vitpilen doesnt have riding modes. You wont notice the power difference and the vitpilen is 10kg heavier than the duke.
@@JonsDiary I did. It's so much nicer to have a bike that doesn't burn my balls anymore. The 701 handles better than the 899 and is almost as fast at lower speeds. I'm happy with it.
@@scandimc Hi, my " Old Vitpilen " had so many Electronic problems. I got all new updates! But the Bike dosen't run ! So Husqvarna gave me a new Vitpilen.
Nice review. Thanks for that. I’m thinking of buying the 701, can you weigh in your opinion on the reliability of the bike, past production problems (if any), customer service experience, and parts availability (in Canada) in general?
There have been issues with the plastic tsnk getting a leak apparently. Ive had no issues at all with mine. I dont run ethanol and only use petrol. Other than that no problems at all. Best bike Ive ever had. Very well designed. Fantastic balance. I sometimes dont put my feet down at a stop sign and it corners like its on rails. Also best braking Ive ever experienced on a road bike. Check the Vitpilen Forum on the net.

Vincent Saward thank you! Yeah it really does👌
Good review, I wanna get this bike next season. My first one. Excited!
That's a good review, especially the with the comparison with your previous bike been the 690 ktm, thanks for posting.

od1r 73 thx! You can buy some aftermarket bars for it. But it looks a lot cooler with clip ons🤙

Jean-Philippe Mougin thx! No problems so far with the oil consumption. They say if you break it in soft, it will not drink oil.
@@scandimc Thank you ! I think break in correctly is important, you're right ;)
Mine had oil changed at 1000km and at 9600km, before the next scheduled change, it has zero oil ! Other than that, great bike
Sweet review, awesome bike!
Thanks for uploading. Do you still have the bike?
Sold 3 years ago :/

I didnt experience that, but Ive heard others have that problem
@@scandimc Thanks for replying and sharing your experience!

Hello, for the the price garage does it cost more than Ducati or like Japanese ?
Nice video, and fun to se the exact same roads I usually ride on 😄
Bike seems pretty epic
Moto Balance thx! The beautiful roads of east Oslo 😂 your nuda is even more epic😜

But in terms of power delivery, to which duke's driving mode is the behavior of vitpilen more similar?@@scandimc
Payasoguai00078 its like the street mode on the duke👍🏻
Nice review! I just decided to sell my 899 Panigale for this bike.
Thanks! I love the panigales too👌
Really? Did you do it? I'm actually thinking of selling my monster 1100 evo for it

Have you had any service problems with the bike so far? I heard that others got a lot of electronic failures with it.
Stefan Ciobanu no problems so far, the electronic issues is supposed to be fixed with the new software update.
Nice, thanks, thinking of buying one
I had so many Electronic problems so that i got a new one.
Frank x no need for a new one, just get the new software update at your Husqvarna dealer👍🏻

What about pillion rider..?
Comfortable or not ...?
Its not a good pillion bike, the seat is tiny and stiff.
