ALL are trash now. DoorDash, Uber, Grubhub, Instacart, Amazon Flex, Walmart Spark and Uber. The gig industry has changed dramatically since 2019. I built my business from it but there’s NO WAY anyone can survive off it now. Maintenance and gas alone would kill alot. Other hustles are just a flook. Service industries like signing agents, tax preparation, credit repair also. Content creators are too far behind. The last gimmick is call centers. Big FAIL! Best advice is get a job and do this temporarily. Other service based may be helpful but I would tred lightly on the investment.
I agree. Right after Xmas/Nye. I tanked. I was making bank, NOW I make almost nothing. Maybe enough for gas that's it. What is going on. Will it get better ? Is this normal ?? I only been working since Nov I have over 600 orders under my belt and a 4.92 to 5 raring
I agree and they really have changed going into 2023, Uber eats if you look now in most cases will make more or just under what we make for doing all the work. They don’t adjust for gas and now everything is an estimate and then you get bait and switched. I think I may do better in the lawsuit that’s coming chaching$$$$$$$$.
You can't mow grass if there isn't too grass to mow. Go where they water it, and you'll find business 🎒🎒🚚🚚😘
I don't get how people are using gig work as their main and complain about it dying down.
The landscape is always changing that's why I follow these gigs so closely. For instance in 2019 when I first did Shipt I was doing $30-$40/hr; when I first charged scooters for Lime they paid $7+ per scooter. Then things change which is what I report on here. Basically since day 1 I've discouraged people from surviving on these apps like you mentioned. These are best as a side hustle - for example DD reports most Dashers only work 5 hours a week or so. So what I do is help people maximize those hours by knowing which apps are the best. But long term I'm MUCH more bullish on real estate, investing, building a business (selling a product, course or service), affiliate income and more.
The snow blowing thing he’s not considering is transporting the mower/blower and being able to get there PLUS time doing those things. I do it for my family (for free) because they have their own snow blowers already ready to go and it’s extremely time consuming.
Just found your channel bro, I really like the transparency 👍
Thanks Abe!
Happy New Year Mike!
DD had fallen waaaaaaay down in my efforts in the past year and now? DD is highly prioritizing 50% AR Dashers and especially 70%+ AR Dashers and I just got/accepted the offer from DD to reset my AR%. Oddly enough...I had already been doing that and took it from 2% to 27% in 2 weeks. Now? Im reset at 100% and going to take advantage of this.
How to keep a high AR% WITHOUT accepting trash:
1. Only turn on app when you intend on delivering. No more "Im gonna just turn it on to see how things are" approach.
2. When multi-apping, end your dash or pause dash while doing other app deliveries.
3. Only work DD when things are hot with Peak Pay and NOT so hot with other apps.
Sooo....Im gonna be one of those 70% AR people, but not the type that runs trash all day. Stay tuned!
And my KPI's of $3.48/Mile, $38.45/Hour, $12.55/Delivery and 3.1 Delivery/Hour will only get better.
Got ya, you're doing the "Accept More Earn More" aka "Priority Access" program. Let us know how it goes, I like the peak pay only strategy that's always a best practice
4. Location, location, location! The zone and section of that zone you choose to work absolutely matters as far as the quality of offers that come to your phone and make it easier or harder to maintain a higher AR. You ideally want a concentration of higher end restaurants with few fast food places.
@@YourDriverMike Will be happy to circle back on how it goes. Email I got was titled "Unlock priority access by resetting your acceptance rate". I ran thru a quick survey and accepted.
Basically a win back program for higher rated dashers that dont use DD that much is my take on the offer.
@@KevinT7274 Absolutely! I live/work in one of the larger cities in the US, so all of that is at play here. Choices and density abound here! Where is that? Ill never tell...lol.
I seem to do better with Uber Eats. They don't play games with their drivers.
Happy New Year Mike.. you're one of the best at this and you are appreciated!
🙏👍😎
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing your UA-cam earnings. I had no idea.
Thanks Kevin, tons of work, countless hours but once it starts to scale it's huge. That course is going to be massively value added - make sure to let others know if they're interested in creating a channel. Presale will be sometime in Q1
Problem with the lawn and snowblower is the lack of storage space plus the fact that I drive a compact car. That also kills the passenger gig when you drive a compact car. Vending machines sound nice but a cash gig like that makes it easy to get robbed. Plus you have to know how to fix them. The TikTok and UA-cam you need subscribers and content. I guess I will stick to food deliveries, possibly grocery and stock investing. I don’t see anything else.
I have a side hustle I like you to review, at no upfront cost, no monthly cost, and it could be done from home. Where can I send it?
FIVERR you get a designer is Brazil, Colombia, Hungry, Poland etc...and you save a lot of money (as a customer) as a person trying to get clients on FIVERR in the USA or Canada you are competing against people in India, Poland, Serbia etc....good luck.
I had been looking into starting Uber eats or doordash in Vegas but really don’t think it would be worth it. …People mentioning in Facebook groups it’s not going well here and I felt my vehicle may not be as good for gas mileage. I figured I’d find something more solid hourly income for a bit. On FB I realize they could be lying or lazy and just want to complain or it could be the truth. Then I thought maybe just regular Uber but it kinda freaks me out not knowing who is getting in with me. Thinking the side hustle may be to figure out youtube and social better. 🤔🤗🙃
I will tell you that I dd and I own a 21' Dodge Durango. I had no choice to do as I got laid off both of my jobs 2 days apart. I needed cash asap to pay my rent that month.. long story short. When I first started dashing, I was doing great. Well gas prices went up and orders went down and then orders were few and far between. Now I may only bring home half of what I make rest goes to gas not much left over.. again I had no choice, but now I can start looking for a new job since the holidays are over. So yes gas does effect you, u just gotta see how much you need money right now. Some is better then none to me anyway
the best side hustle in WEST PA IMHO is scrapping metal.. Copper alone is going crazy (thx EV cars)
I think the 15 to 25 is wrong for lyft and uber. My brother is doing lyft and averaging around 30 to 35 per hour. This week coming up I will finally have a newer car so I can start also doing lyft and uber rides as well. I have been doing door trash for over 4 years now and it's straight up garbage now compared to what it used to be. On week days it takes me 8 to 9 hours to do $100 for the day. I used to be able to do that in 3 hours or less.
Lmao because Door Trash completely stopped doing peak pay I remember 5-6 months ago I would have a 3$ peak pay all day on the weekends. Now not so much.
@@Lukie2131 yeah I know. I remember years ago having $8 peak pay on a regular week day. I got $11 one time just to drop off a curly fry.
Yeah $100 a day to break the back of your car and try to be in and out as fast as possible. I started this year, gotta get it when the gettings new it’s mostly trash now unless you’re multi apping I don’t live in a big enough city to capitalize.
Do the fiver one pls
Crypto staking?
9:52 Excuse me, but WTF is that in D tier?
😂😂 I thought the same thing, he used that to distinguish NFTs haha that got cut from this video plus a few others for time sake
I still confidently make 200 a day on Doordash. That's good enough for me.
Wait "Frunk to Trunk" is your twin brother? I knew he looked familiar, just couldn't place the face, lol
Pretty cool you are able to make 6 figures off of a subscriber base of 100K. I would think you would need 1 million to do that.
A lot goes into it but niche is big, depending on the niche the payouts per 1K views (RPM) varies. Thanks for watching Steve
@@YourDriverMike Thanks for producing great content, Mike.
Delivery Apps are trash 2.00 for a run, no thanks. You're better off doing literally anything else.
Why even bother to do it if it doesn’t make you money though. All of the margins are getting slimmer by the year as new methods replace old but if you have a strategy it’s still possible to make a living from these gig jobs and not have to have a boss on your neck every shift.
Ubereats and DD and grubhub 45$ hour now in my market in mtl in 2023 13$h under the minimum wage of 14.25$ in my province. food delivery ad died for us. avg order per hour is 1.5 with descent pay about 2$ per km.
😇🙏
Tens of thousands? I doubt it. That's over 20,000. In 8 years......nah
Vending machines are terrible stay away. Too much work. Not enough pay and too much stress.
I have two whole subscribers lol
I can't ever remember which one you are.
How so?🤔
@@YourDriverMike I mean I get you and your brother confused both have great advice thanks for all you do man.
@@interdimensional-eh9yk all good haha thank you!
He’s the best fam. Subscribe! He’s literally helped me navigate half these gig apps!
Wait your brother does the same channel
I feel Sweatcoin is fine tbh
I just keep it on me and get my sweatcoin and I get to do little deals like "first two bags of coffee for free" ot some bracelets that I wear. Sweatcoin is only bad if you see it as a way to make money, but you don't really need to do anything beyond setting up an account
another huge issue with Sweatcoin is bots. They drop their BEST deals at a certaintime a day & those items are sweapt up by the bots
This one is gonna be long: “I consulted all the experts.” “Didn’t consult me.” 😂😅 Love it Mike.
I don’t know what happened in 2023, but we’re 8 days in and I’m going HOURS without getting a DoorDash ping. Not even a bad offer. My stats haven’t changed. Roadie must really be enforcing their new guidelines because that is completely dead as well. Wal-Mart is a bit slower, but I think that’s due to the season.
One app I haven’t seen you review is MedZoomer. I signed up for it, but it’s not in my area. It does seem like it could be annoying being that you need signatures most of the time.
Edit* I love your thumbnails. Save your $. It would be great for me since I have zero editing abilities.
