Cannot agree more with Senior Minister. When giving, don't take away dignity.

Moving from SG as a small nation formed in hardship against all odds, to SG as a collection of diverse groups of people separated from a larger community. The struggle is against the acceptance or rejection of the differences of people. Between acceptance and rejection are a whole range of possibilities. Where are you positioned? Which direction are you facing? Are you standing still, walking backward, or falling forward on a fast treadmill? How about developing the flexibility to move sideways, both to the left and right?
Yes, we were separated from Malaysia racially yet never separated economically. We can spearhead the re-combination of SG as a pragmatic group of separated people to neighbour culturally, multi-religiously and humanistically.
    Pragmatic cases in point:
    1. Indians -- people mostly from the Indian sub-continent.
    2. Malays -- people mostly from Malaysia
    3. Chinese -- people mostly from China
    4. Others -- Eurasians, Peranakans and children of mixed marriages.
    * Show of inter-racial events based on re-combined traditions, for tourism and for exporting humanistic intentions to the original main-lands. It serves to recognise our origins and meaningfulness to live on with whos around us now. For example, a dance where Gongful moves are incorporated into Hindi dances, with much respectfor and retention of the traditional styles, crafted in Little India, carried out in the streets and selected for show in Dehli. While developing the mixed dance, we see local Indians and Chinese cooperating. Same for other combinations of peoples. Why? Because culture evolves with the times and technology so why not design the evolution pragmatically?

Before I forget, I do see very frail old man and woman, all alone struggling, They will be properly cared for.
Some, really cannot walk long distances. I understand. Pm LHL says, no one will be left behind.
Of cause I noticed them too.

Motherhood statement.... This is what our politicians are good at. The population need to live through now and see light before speaking if tomorrow.
Government needs to loosen the noose before we hear more.

How about a skillful combination of tightening and loosening so that more than half of the diverse peoples in the population can adjust and decide their efforts to put into which areas of their lives?
Do you loosen the nose for all people? For those who feel tight? For those who want to tighten their own lives? For anyone? How do you selectively loosen?
*Loosening for everyone, might get most, if not all, to become more equally, poorer. Rich ones, lucky ones, hard-working ones and lazy ones, all become equally poor. That's called communism.

IPS is in the right direction and yet wanting in reach to the populace. Bold moves are needed to break out of the elitist cliche. How? For one, IPS sessions can be followed up with translated clips (little or no editing) in dialects, tasteful comedies, creative scripts, play acts where students play future leaders of influence, etcetera. The fallout might not be neat and orderly. The imagined chaos could also be not much more than, you guessed it, imaginary fears of the unknown. Without the courage to walk along the edge of perceived chaos, there is not much to clean up, little to construct and increasingly idle people who are learned, yet bored and disengaged in their prolonged lives.

The True is... statistic can be fake. No one owe other . The youth don't owe to the old. Everyone has to take care of our own life & not expect others to help. Society cannot help all too ya! Such expectation is also unrealistic. We have to question our own value & principle that we are brought up in (family system then lastly society). So don't impose & expect unrealistically ya! And the old should not leach on the youth ya! So when time for The old & frail to go...they should go ya... likewise if the youth or the in-between have to go...go ya! We reap what we sow. No one should exploit others ya! If the world become such.. then it is good time for God to put the Evil down ya!

Well... wish is wish... don't impose ya! Reality is... let God decide ... For social reason also ...we don't expect others to help ya...

It is only when more seats go to the Opposition parties will the establishment examine its flawed policies.
