What's really scary and sad is that this guy knew months in advance that he would be testifying about his qualifications to be a lifetime federal judge and didn't even take any time to even brush up on anything his position would be involved in. And he's not the only one. Once our courts have a political bias in any direction in lifetime positions, we know the end is coming. He is a lawyer but never did litigation, he has overseen over 2,000 rulings. The congressman obviously asked very specific questions about procedures that he had not seen in his career and are not exactly complicated procedures that one could understand after a day's worth of reading. paralegals are very qualified often time more than their bosses. we just dont have a law degree. but this an embarrassment to the legal profession. even if you dont have trial or deposition experience you should be able to answer questions in regards to the profession.
What's really scary and sad is that this guy knew months in advance that he would be testifying about his qualifications to be a lifetime federal judge and didn't even take any time to even brush up on anything his position would be involved in. It's scary because this man seems to be the type of person who couldn't be impartial and would certainly bring in his own biases into the courtroom eroding the foundation of our legal system. And he's not the only one. Once our courts have a political bias in any direction in lifetime positions, we know the end is coming. Soon we will be no better then the countries we make fun of for having backwards judicial systems.
