Welcome! I have always been a Broodwar fan and love the spectacular battles in the game. I’m making units fighting content in Starcraft Remastered and hope you enjoy them as I do. New videos will be uploaded regularly, please subscribe!
No Yamato cannon, many got distracted shooting at the interceptors... and they still handedly won.
As a carrier fan, this hurt.

Umm you realize BCs should win especially if they are distracted to finish off interceptors. I've seen this fight play out way too many times and usually the carriers are left defenseless if the BCs just shoot interceptors.
What hurts more is that the carriers didn't even focus fire once.
If a good macro is done attacking cruise by cruiser the carriers would win.
Would have been a lot easier for the BCs if they focused on the actual carriers and not the little ships that they use.
Would have been easier on carriers if they hit one bc at a time

Actually the other way around. If the battlecruisers pair up and each pair targets a unique interceptor they bring the interceptors down so fast the carriers cannot win.
It’s like a real war . They got to take down the little fighter planes
I never considered countering carriers with bcs but I might try it.
Battle Cruisers actually have +4 armor and interceptors only do 6 hit points of damage. Carriers have +3 armor but battlecruisers do 25 normal damage. So while carriers overall or a better unit than battle Cruisers, they actually don't do well against other Capital ships. Protoss literally has tons of things that hard counter battlecruisers like Scouts, dragoons, mind control, psionic storm, archons, feedback, stasis. Did I miss anything?
Actually, BCs have base 3 armor while Carriers have base 4 armor (but they also have plasma shields with base 0 armor), I agree with the rest.
@@toomuchinvigilation2419ou know what’s funny, I’m 38 years old. I haven’t played BW since early 2000s. And I still memorized that carriers have 4 base starting armor, the most base armor of any unit in game lol. The things we remember lol

Imagine how easily carriers would win if the purifier beams they use to glass infested terran wars where a thing in game

Carriers are "hit and run" units because of their long distance and ability to hit during move, not for a direct fight. At least not against such strong force.
Half of the BC's wasted their time shooting at the drones, if they had all been micro'ed to shoot at the carries the results would have been even more lopsided.

Starcraft has ideal balance. I like both - BC and carrier, but they both have specific tasks on the battlefield. It's normal that BC wins. Terrans need this unit, what are you talking about? Protoss has the best t1 unit (zealot). Carrier has advantages, he can't be repaired, but he has regeneration field. In some situations It's much better then BC, but YES in frontal attack It's weaker

BCs are heavily armored ships made to fight heavily armored targets. Carriers are heavily armored ships made to fight lightly armored targets.
Zergs anti carrier units are most effective. One plague shaves off 300 health. So each carrier needs 2 scourge to kill.
in 1999 a friend of mine sad that Terrans are stronger because battlecruisers kill carriers, i told him that scouts are stronger than battlecruisers and i was right. ...

BC strong but slow and can be kited easily by carrier. Even with yamato cannon, carrier can destroy BC with that stragedy
No, they cant. Even if they kite them, the BCs can target interceptors and kill those so hard its not even funny, or they can choose to retreat, recharge Yamato again and snipe at the Carriers. Unless the Carriers have an overwhelming numbers and much better upgrades, BCs > Carriers. But overall, Carriers are more useful for their insane range and ability to rebuild their interceptors during battle, move while attacking and sniping key targets very quickly.

Why carrier cost much more in build (including 8 interceptors) but perform so weak in this brawl.
this fight is not really representativ of how it would actually play out,u can move the carriers back while having the interceptors fight and a player would not be able to yamato all the carriers as easily because u have to cant select them all at once because there is no smart casting,also this fight is in a vaccum,carriers and BCs are strong and weak vs different types of units it just happens to be that BCs are favored vs carriers because of how they are desgined but carriers are an overall more well rounded unit which explains the cost
Because expensive does not equal unstoppable in Starcraft.
You can build a deathball of battlecruisers or carriers and you'll be stopped in your tracks by mass Dragoons/Goliaths/Hydralisks with the same cost.
Because carriers aren't made for frontal assault you play around terrain and always attack move .
The answer is the jobs these units perform. Carriers do well against armies of lightly armored units, BC's are meant to deal with heavily armored targets. Units in starcraft aren't a "protoss version of this terran unit" it's its own thing entirely with its own strengths and weaknesses
If let ai control,they will let carriers release interceptors and keep distance. There would be no way bc can win
BCs could all Yamato though... BCs would still win
How do you get Yamato to attack every Carrier? The Yamato turned the tide of the confrontation.

Yes all units are 3-3 upgraded
This is how imbalanced, carrier almost more expensive then bcs, and "protoss" highly advenced in story line, and they have the more expensive and weakness units.
I am a Protoss fan and I disagree.

@@joshuahudson2170 Lorewise the Protoss created weapons that would destroy the entire galaxy with a simple button pushed. They decided that nobody should be able to posses weapons of mass destruction though. Therefore they never used them. They even waged war on civilizations that developed weapons of mass destruction themselves and genoicided them. Nukes are not even counted as weapons of mass destruction by Protoss standards.

Carriers should have a interceptor durability after carrier removal of 15? second and automatic refilling of depleted carriers by interceptors from destroyed carriers, just saying.

The counter for BC is Dark Archons, not Carriers.
@@spacewargamer4181 plus psi storm and stasis, actually I haven’t seen a TvP pro game using BC. They seem appear more and more in TvZ late game now
stop saying if the carriers did this, carriers did that, bc should do this or that. bottomline, this showed that in a non controlled setting where you just throw each unit at each other, you know which one is the stronger one by default.
It's not really non controlled as BC's used Yamato.
@@Omguserr I'm guessing it's AI controlled, so the AI uses some crazy micro blasting with all 40 yamatos at once. Even without yamato cannon though...carriers have a hard time vs battlecruisers.

I still have old school starcraft and broodwar on my laptop I do campaign runs on. Eventually need to get into doing some custom matches to improve my overall gameplay. Now if only I had warcraft II as well to go with starcraft
If this version had a bigger pool of selectable units and better pathfinding nobody would play SC2 instead.
@@spacewargamer4181 The sc2 path finding makes the game easier to play but a bit less enjoyable to watch. Battles usually end up being two death ball dancing and melting within seconds under huge aoe
I do enjoy it, the gooofy pathing and the fact that it's famously unconstant with results means every battle can go any way. However, I can't say I don't enjoy playing mass recall instead.
1 carrier kills 40 bcs with micro.
Carriers should be able to build 10 interceptors instead of 8 and each interceptor should have a base 8 attack damage
