i cant see colors. visual field and blur everywhere. also cant see depth or 3d.. opthamologist says my eyes are fine and mri showed no damage to occipital lobe.. noone knows why i lost my eye sight so fast within months and im losing more. probably total blind soon. please help
Sometimes it can be an infection, like COVID, or hypoxic event, loss of oxygen, and that doesn't show as structural damage on an MRi, like my brain tumor does. Sometimes, it's damage along the pathway, from the eyes to the back of the brain, not necessarily in the occipital lobe, but before it, but after the chiasm. Over 50% of the brain is involved with vision & visual processing. I know it's hard to understand, and playing medical detective after the fact, ...dammit lost my train of thought, it happens with my short term memory loss & aphasia/audio processing, and where I am on my migraine cycle: prodrome, aura, attack, postdrome or migraine hangover... Hmmm, nope, it's gone. But my Neuro-ophthalmologist said, as long as u see it's affects in BOTH eyes, it's neurological, "all-in-ur-head" and not a problem with ur eyes. I'm on annual MRi's watch & wait for my leftover inoperable brain tumor in my left-side parietal/occipital lobe, and annual visual fields testing, hopefully I can keep my driver's licence for another year, despite my Adult Acquired CVi. The main thing is that CVi is NOT static, it changes daily, (for me) sometimes hourly based on overstimulation, and so my vision changes too. Sometimes vertical triple double vision (6 images), sometimes double double, sometimes barely noticeable. But my underlying eyes see better than 20/20 on a good day. So, I totally get it when some docs think I'm faking it. 10+ years of docs & eye docs, no one "saw" my problem. And even after brain surgery, some doc's still can't see my brain injury, they think I'm making it up. One year after brain surgery, I took an Emotional Regulation's course at GF Strong rehab hospital, and also a neuropsychological assessment, to which they deemed me, SSD somatic symptom disorder, I'm exaggerating my symptoms, the f*ck I am, did I imagine I had a 2" 🍋-sized grade 2, atypical brain tumor lodged in my left-side parietal/occipital lobe? I wish I did, then I wouldn't have to deal with a 5-year 63.8% life expectancy, or 60% chance of recurrent tumors, but a high likelihood they'll be malignant, and life expectancy drops to less than 2 years😢
Sometimes mTBi concussion treatment or Long COVID treatment, can spark neuroplasticity & u can "see" some improvements, it depends, everyone's brains are different, as are brain injuries, but never give up, some docs can't see 🙈 the problem either. There are fixes & then there are accommodations, both can help & hinder, u have to find the balance that works for u

I really admire your clarity of thought and insight into your subject
Fantastic, thank you!!
Does visual impairment necessarily have to be 20/200 or worse for a diagnosis ?
It's just an example.

omg thank you so much this was brilliant!

What can be treatment for cortical blindness, who has lost his vision
