Hey Izzy, I think just about all your questions were answered. But yes both they have to transport food up the mountain (usually by mule), and because it's all tourists, that's why the food is much higher than in the cities. That being said, it's still well worth it to eat hot fresh meals. Also, originally I thought the portions were small, and they are at first, but they'll give you more and more until you're full - they just start out small so they don't waste.
Can’t believe you bought that shitty Tin food in real villages instead to trying new foods! You have 8 million subscribers and you know how much money that makes ?? You are so mean mad I lost the respect for your from this point. This is help for those poor villagers common man. I visit Nepal every 4 years and the food prices in any trekking route is 500 RS ( $4) only and the price for noodle and Momo is less then that which is cheap cheap and cheap!!!!!!!! Specially food prices are the same for locals and foreigners and my income is just a Restaurent manager india. With the amount of your income I can easily afford ti travel the world yes whole of the planet earth. Man i am really shocked today!
Hey Paul, thanks a lot for watching. Yes there have been some things that I don't like (but haven't made any videos), but I really do like most things!
Hahah, she was skeptical at first, but I'm so happy my wife was willing to do it with me, and though she was incredibly sore she did enjoy it. I hope she'll do one again in the future, and I hope you can convince your wife too!
When are you going to be back again? After the mess is over hope to see you there again. The place have changed hope you enjoy everybit of Nepal and do study before visiting. For adventure its a place to be for food its just okay. But there has been lot of changes in these periods the worse if I remember was earthquake and the best is they are still recovering, reconstructing the damage made by the earthquake which was couple of years back . I hope you'll be back again.
Wow you literally replied everyone. What an amazing human being you are Mark. I have been watching you since a long time. Your positivity and happy face always encourages me and our family to be happy on what we have right now.
I was born in Ghorepani and I am glad you visited there if other people have planning to visit nepal then it's a must visit place in Nepal BTW I feel proud there is beautiful hill name after my last time
I came across this video 5 years back while preparing for a trek in Nepal. This is also the first video of Mark that I watched and since then have been watching almost all your videos. Now after several treks in Nepal and especially to ABC, Dal BAHT is still a favourite for me while in Nepal. Thanks Mark.
Hey, yes we hired a trekking guide, it was much easier and it allowed me to focus on writing and filming. It could be done without at guide, but it was a lot easier with a guide!
Nepal is most cleanest country??? What a joke .. i hope u have seen Kathmandu if u have then don't talk about clean of this country .. i agree that other places are clean but nepal is not a clean country as u say
When we recently went to Finland we packed a bunch of cheap goodies as well - muesli, granola bars and canned nuts. As in your situation, it definitely helped us shave our costs down a bit.
I came across to yours poonhill trek video after 11 years. Gosh, it feels really amazing to see how the places looked 11 years ago. And guess what, the places you had your meals and breakfast were the same place, I came across when I hiked a year ago. Yayy!
Oh mark these videos are really great. I have to tell you we really enjoy them and look forward to each one that comes out. Thank you so much and don't ever stop.
I remember you enjoying daal, bhaat and aloo matar (green peas, potato) vegetable in an other video, really like the way you present our Nepal and its food. Keep on the good work and enjoy Nepal.
omg... Maaaarrrrrrrk! You're actually skinner in 2013. I only started watching you from 201 onwards and you're pretty skinny for eating so much so often and taking such large first bites, but now that I have skipped back to your 2013 and older videos, I can see that you were actually 'different'!! More hair, quieter voice ... hahaha. I still love every video of your though man. You are A-OK and totally original! Kudos.
Love u bro mark.... all this time u struggle alot...honest and the the sweetest personality a man can possess...n thats the reason u dwell in every1 s heart...may god bless 🙏 u n family ... love frm Manipur

Hello Andrea, I spoke English, I didn't know any Nepali. Many Nepalis, especially in the tourism industry speak fairly good English. You can easily travel to Nepal and get by with English!
Great to have seen your report of the trek. Especially now my son and his partner are doing this trip right now. When I've been a bit younger ....................
You actually visited nepal, ooo wow, how did i miss this video, o i probably missed it because I was in college, dam lots of love from Nepal🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵, i never thought you visited here,,,
Thank you very much for this video! I am Nepali live in Norway, I don't know I will have chance to go there but this video makes me really happy.... 👍👏😊💝.

Hey! Yes, food was pricey, but I was happy that accommodation was still very affordable. Yah, I did notice the elevation when climbing, you do lose your breath quite fast!
This October (2017) I did the Annapurna circle (incl. Thorung La pass) trek including the Poon Hill part. The Poon Hill day I traveled from Ghorepani to the top of Poon Hill. After the sun was up I went back to Ghorepani to get some breakfast over there and I walked the same day down to Nayapul. What I found out was that the prices on Poon Hill were much higher then on the circle. Also on the stairs it was much busier then on the circle. Much more day people. Though it's a very nice trek.
Oh man I like that canned fish too,I just sprinkle black pepper on it n eat with plain rice 😄 I’m watching this vlog again, really joyful to watch ,...such a heavenly place !
I am from Nepal and heading that way in few weeks. Me and my wife just watched your trek videos and enjoyed it very much. I probably will do the same trek in next few weeks. And boy can you eat :) BTW how much did your backpack weigh?
Mark its so old video and now look at the content you made its more creative and interesting. Love you and your family. Just finish watching thailand food 1 yrs reservation waiting vlog. God Bless
I regularly watch all you food vlogs on youtube and since i am from Nepal loved this Ghorepani and Poon Hill Trek vlog pretty much. Always love your food vlog and really love your expression once you devour every food.
This was so beautifully documented.. I tried watching a number of videos including more formal documentaries on this area and Mark yours was definitely by far, better than most. The footage was inspiring, you captured the views in a way that made me feel like I was there and once again your description of the traditional food was accurate and informative. I also appreciate how you share what the accommodation is like.. often overlooked by many vlogs. So interesting I had to share these 2 episodes with my family. Thank you for doing such an amazing job yet again. Big Thumbs Up from Australia 🇦🇺
We went to Poon hill trek as well but didn’t reached because of the snow. So anyone going trekking Please go on the trekking season not in December-March months it’s a bad idea! And also now you can get bus to Ulleri. It’s good if you guys rest in Tikhedunga because from Tikhedunga to Ghorepani it’s a hell of a walk. And it’s also best if you get a trekking stick! Nepal has many beautiful mountains for nature lovers.
Love watching your videos! Only bad thing is.... I just now discovered your videos lol. I wish i had knew about your channel a long time ago. Very inspirational!
