Wow, she really went to town with the pickling. I've been doing most of those but I've never heard about pickled shrimp or okra or asparagus. 👍 Thanks.
Beautiful!! We're gonna use your video/recipe on vacation at the beach & have a family pickling day!! 😋🌶🧄🥒🥕🧅 great gifts to send home for my boys & grandbaby to remember their NayNay after summer!🩵🏖🫶🏼
You are so much fun to watch! I love ALL your recipes and these look FABULOUS!!!! My grandmother pickled so many vegetables so this, especially those banana peppers, took me back to my childhood! The pickled shrimp and zucchini weren’t familiar to me though…I’ll have to try them! I just bought red onions at the store to pickle those to keep in the fridge. So glad you included them! My husband recently had some GI issues and his doctor advised kombucha, pickled veg and sauerkraut. Can’t wait to get my pickles on this summer! Thanks!
These all look so good! I really should make them, especially as I need to be careful of my sugar intake and ready made pickles always sneak in so much sugar. Thanks for the inspiration.
I do make the pickled red onions pretty often, but I’m definitely going to try making all the rest. Good thing I have another refrigerator in my garage!
I have been gardening/canning/dehydrating for about 3 years and wanted to up my game and start getting into pickling and fermenting some of my veggies,I grow everything in ur video so im looking forward to trying everything..Thanks
Great video Nicole! I’ve made refrigerator pickles before, as well as pickled onions. I haven’t made them in quite a while, but I have been complaining about how I can’t find any good pickles in the grocery store. Duh! I’ll just make them myself! Thank you for the info and the recipes… Can’t wait to try a bunch of these!
Please follow her instructions about when to keep in the refrigerator. Don't put your hands inside the jar ever, use clean, dry, spoon/fork to remove the pickle. I sometimes remove small quantities into another jar and use that instead of taking the big jar out every day. If you follow all this the pickles should last a good 3 -4 months
@@akankshapatwari4167 what are you talking about? 3-4 months? I don't know the time frame. These are not properly canned/vacuum packed. The vinegar and lemon helps extend the shelf life. Most refrigerator pickles without vinegar state 1-2 weeks. Many counties in Indiana and Ohio have a county extension office that will occasionally have pickling classes. They don't talk about refrigerator pickling as they are not very time reliable. There is a reason that she doesn't mention a storage life for these. I plan on making some of these. I only plan on keeping them for a couple weeks. Anything longer than that I will use an actual canning recipe.
According to my grandma last as long as you want them the last in the fridge but if you open them one day and they smell funny or growing strange stuff, throw them out.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Just exactly what I've been wanting. I gave you a 👍 before you even started. I can't wait to try out all your receipes.👍💖.
Loved all the recipes. One question. Did you follow the zucchini recipe as listed in the more section - canning them or make them as refrigerator zucchini? How long in the frig before eating?
@@kimfoster-carroll5133 they do turn a more dull color, I just searched one up on Pinterest, it has garlic and red pepper flakes and sometimes I will use a shallot in also.
I thought for sure you were going to infuse vodka for your bloody Mary's. I take a large mason jar and add sliced "serrano chili's, garlic, onions, and bell peppers, peppercorns". And then pour in the vodka. That makes the most flavorful vodka for Bloody Mary's.
How much water do you need for the pickled zucchini what kind of onion do you use and I do like soak them on the counter for several hours or do they need to go in the refrigerator
And last but not least if your refrigerator just went out along with your AC is there any way to pickle this stuff and not have to keep it in the refrigerator before you open the jars up and how long can it last for
I had some shawarma a couple night ago. It was served with sticks (wands?) of something red and very crunchy, looked like beets but did not taste like beets. I asked and discovered that it was turnips! I'm guessing maybe the color was from added red onions but I do not know. Any hints?

I live one mile from the Gulf and a shrimp company. I’m definitely making the shrimp. Sounds delicious!

In the fridge at least a few weeks if what you make last that long hahah

I did then as refrigerator zucchini. Overnight and you’re good to go!
I also highly recommend pickling sugar snap peas they are delicious
Is it normal that they change a dull color? I tested this recently. Would love your recipe
@@kimfoster-carroll5133 they do turn a more dull color, I just searched one up on Pinterest, it has garlic and red pepper flakes and sometimes I will use a shallot in also.

Shrimp!! Wow!

Are you cooking okra and stringbean before pickling? And can tjey be stored in dry pantry instead of fridge?
How long do these last? Are they shelf stable for most of them? I wouldnt think the shrimp would be, but how long does it last in the fridge?
Omg!!!! I will make all these!!!!! ❤
Please do!
OH my gosh! The zucchini recipe is wonderful! so healthy, easy and tasty!
i'm determined to make these this summer!
Yummy. Mouth watering. Give me a bowl of shrimp, Bloody Mary and some pickled okra and I'm home free. Thanks Nicole.
How much water do you need for the pickled zucchini what kind of onion do you use and I do like soak them on the counter for several hours or do they need to go in the refrigerator
Thank you for this
If you wanted to save fridge space and keep them longer could you WB Can them?
I would love to do these quick things, but I don't have room in my small fridge! I would have to can.
Love this!!
Thank you
And last but not least if your refrigerator just went out along with your AC is there any way to pickle this stuff and not have to keep it in the refrigerator before you open the jars up and how long can it last for
Because they are pickled, can they be water bath canned for a longer shelf life ( except the for the shrimp)?
Can you substitute apple cider vinegar for the white vinegar?
Hello, Thank you! Awesome! How long will they keep in fridge? My kid is getting me all ingredients now.
I’d say a month!
Thank you.
These look so yummy!❤
Yes 😋
Wow delicious, ❤❤
Love it!
I’m going to make everything!
Great video
I had some shawarma a couple night ago. It was served with sticks (wands?) of something red and very crunchy, looked like beets but did not taste like beets. I asked and discovered that it was turnips! I'm guessing maybe the color was from added red onions but I do not know. Any hints?
