HOW TO PAINT TROPICAL PLANTS | Series 2 of 3 | Acrylics for beginners

- In this video we'll be creating a tropical banana plant design. This is the second design in a series of 3. As in all of my tutorials we will work with a limited palette using only the three primary colors plus white. This keeps the lesson simple and easy to follow along with when learning how to mix colors.

- I usually get all of my paints at Michael's "Artist Loft" or "Liquitex" brand:
Primary or Brilliant Blue
Quinacridone Magenta
Cadmium Yellow (medium hue)

You don't have to get these exact brushes. These are just what I use.

I’ve done this one! It wasn’t as easy as it looks.
My little tip is... I’ve been using a flow medium instead of water. It also stops the paint from drying so quickly. Thought I would share. 😊

Debbie Avoux Studio I think it was the drawing the leaves and the multiple layers. It was looking really overworked and I had to recover and start over a few times. But I got there in the end. All good learning tho I’ll send a pic. 😊

so i started a painting, it's tropical foliage as well, but i already finished it, and i came across your videos, and i love the color back drop, could i still add color to the background of my plant painting? assuming it could be a bit more tedious since i have to paint within some of the crevices of the leafs.
