- Please join me In this easy to follow acrylic paint tutorial for beginners. We'll be painting this "Seashell" designI as I walk you through each step along the way in real time. I will teach you how to mix all of your own colors using only the 3 primaries plus white.

Primary or Brilliant Blue
Quinacridone Magenta
Cadmium Yellow (medium hue)
White
☆Glazing Medium by Windsor Newton☆
(water can be substituted for the medium)
☆ BRUSHES ☆

Qualita Gold Taklon brand brushes....
You don't have to get these exact brushes. These are just what I use. Any brand will do fine. ;)
5/8" Angular (medium brush)
#8 Filbert .(any small flat brush)
#2 Round (any teeny or liner brush)
1 or two beat up old brushes to use for texture (medium 5/8" or 2" chip brush)

Debbie I have started painting again after 30+ years and ran across your tutorials. You are so talented and blessed with such a gift. I am inspired to jump back in and hopefully with time get my groove back, at the moment I am working on the tall palm trees tutorial . I am painting on a 24X36 canvas which is a lot larger, so I am a little frustrated with mine looking as life like as yours. I love your teaching Style. You're the best I've found online for beginners. I appreciate your thoughts on artists learning to mix their own colors and showing us how it works.
One thing; I have a hearing issue, and I had a hard time hearing over the music. I'm going to go through your videos and see if you have any without the background music. Thanks again so much for sharing your art (and your process) with us.:)
Thank you for the feedback. My most recent videos do not have music. I realized after many of my videos were posted that I had the music turned up too loud so my new videos have no music. :)

I do prepare my canvases when I’m working on a commissioned piece or a large scale painting but I don’t usually prep my canvases for tutorials because they are just quick practice lessons. But you should always gesso your canvas.

Hay Debbie wie geht es dir danke das du mir geantwortet hast kannst du ein Video über das Meer machen? ich bin Anfänger und will das Meer Zeichnen aber es sieht nicht so echt aus die clarity fehlt ? Geht das Schritt für Schritt zeigen und welche Farben?
