Thank you for this excellent review. It is very helpful for me as beginner in cigar smoking. :)

Hi UK Cigar Scene! Great Vid! Thank you Nic Wing! I'd just like to reconfirm that are all Cuban cigars frozen prior to sale/release? I thought this wasn't done and only NC cigars were frozen to prevent tobacco beetles? Also when did the Cuban Cigar industry start freezing their cigars prior to them being sold? Thanks, Dencof

Hi Denkcof, My understanding is that all Cuban production has been frozen before leaving Havana for a few years.

the hygrometer you are using comes with a manual. The manual says NOT to do the salt test

Fascinating dichaos. Why do you think that is?
Can't do the mechanism any damage as the salt gives off humidity at a level which should be well within the level the unit measures.

Salt water is an electrolyte which conducts ions, speeding up rusting. Fascinating indeed. Get a Boveda One-Step Hygrometer Calibration Kit instead for 6£.

Surely it's the water which has evaporated which gets into the hygrometer. That's not going to contain any salt is it? It would have to be direct contact with the salt/salt water. Having said that I'm going to order a Boveda pack and give it a go, thanks for the information.
