It is not true that there is no pain after 4-6 weeks. I had my To knee replacement surgery 6 weeks ago and there is pain but it is much less before. The pain will continue for a longer duration upto 6 months to an year but it is bearable with mild analgesics.

It's not correct that there is no pain after anaesthesia effect ..infact the pain is unbearable even with painkillers for nearly a week and then bearable pain for the next two weeks during physio and doing bending knee exercises

Don't worry. With physiotherapy and medicines her pain will minimise. Two months back I had TKR. Now I can walk properly without any support.
