Hi i got 2 questions 1st - is it worth upgrading from zoom g3xn to this? Or we can do everything with g3xn as well 2nd- Going to premium series between Boss GT 1000 vs Line 6 Helix LT which one you recommend?

Thanks for checking out🙂 To answer your question, the GX100 sounds very similar to the g3xn, since I own both of them I have sort of made a comparison and found out that the difference in quality is non existent. The GX100 however has more hands on control when it comes to playing live. You can assign effects to the ctl switches, you can create a pan l-r tone with the stomp of a switch among many others which cannot be done in the g3xn. Also the gx has more blocks in the signal chain. In a nutshell, if you are looking for a flexible unit for live, then gx is a winner. If not, then g3xn gets the job done for 1/3rd of the price. Coming to your 2nd question, helix is better than the gt1000. Gt and gx are practically the same unit sound wise, just that the gt has a bigger signal chain, xlr outs, stereo fx loop. So, in my opinion the helix is a better unit in tht range. 🙂 Hope it helps 🙂
@@MrMitter Great explanation. I own G3Xn, and I was listening to the GX-100 tones and felt the quality to be similar. Also, is there a way to achieve the spread out the tone, I mean when you pressed "1"(C3) knob to get a pan kind of riff tone in G3Xn?

Thank you so much 🙂 yes this unit is great for the purpose since it records in 24 bit. I'm yet to try the usb interface function. But line in recordings using a good audio interface has given me great results indeed while recording. I'm in fact using it for recording my album. 🙂

@@RaysinghaSubhajit I think the auto wah is ther. Sitar sim yes its not there, but practically we seldom use it. The Bass guitar effects are useful if someone wants to use it as their bass mulltifx unit IMHO 🙂

Anybody know how to use a midi footswitch to change memories on the GX 100? Seems nobody does. Not even Boss techs...
