    Berto I am so proud of you man. I knew you would do great things in this field. Here I am searching things about Fanuc robots because I have an interview tomorrow and they house quite a few fanucs. So I kind of wanted to get familiar. I have a lot of knowledge with Yaskawa robots. And after your very informative video I’ve came to realize these things are very similar to Yaskawa so I think I will feel right at home. Thank you so much. I hope all is well, Caleb Whaley.

    I think i work with the R-30ib, these robots can to immaculate work. Thats cool seeing smaller robots, that system (cabinet) under the robot is way smaller than the one im used to, and it looks way newer, we dont have the touch screens. The system/console i work with one about the size of a refrigerator and the robot is about 18-20ft in length when laid out

    It is definitely not more advanced than the Yaskawa Motoman, you just know the Fanuc better.
    I used to work for Yaskawa Motoman and there were many places I went where they were using both brands and there would always be someone one would say the Fanuc could do more But, there was NEVER something that Fanuc could do that I couldn't also do with the Motoman. Also, many of those functions were free with Motoman, but cost extra with Fanuc. Both are very good robots. To me, the main difference is the cabinet. Keep the control door closed on the Motoman and it will stay spotless. The Fanuc will be full of dust, if it's running in a dusty environment. Not usually a huge deal.

    • @Derno545
      @Derno545 10 місяців тому

      Havent worked with motoman but yes that is so true about the cabinets getting hella dirty on the fanuc ones

      @Derno545
      Yaskawa (used to be Motoman) seal up tighter than a refrigerator. Keep the door closed (and latched), and they're absolutely spotless.

      @@cornpop7805 thats cool man, these are my first robots im learning on i hope to progress further to other robots or jobs as well.. That makes me think of PlayStation vs. Xbox, as playstation is notorious for getting extremely dusty

    I'm sure you've come a long way from when you started your training, but you're making some broad assumptions about the two brands, based on on a very limited experience. Likely the reason you perceive the Fanuc having more "dexterity" than the Yaskawa (Motoman) system, is only because of the size of the manipulator (arm). If your school would have purchased a similarly sized arm, the motion envelope and joint angles would have been similar to that of the Fanuc.
    Similarly, if they would have purchased a slightly smaller Fanuc arm, the work envelope for it would have sucked too.
    I used to work for Yaskawa/Motoman and I never encountered a situation that Fanuc could do that we couldn't also do and usually easier. We also provided many more programming freebies that Fanuc would charge extra thousands for.

    You know you're really talented but one thing you lack of is understanding that people can't see the screen that you can see due to the angle and the lighting You should have tested out and it always angles and screen and teach pants so people can refuse can see it

    Why do you need to reload or restore the software when the batteries run low or die...?

    • @techlivesmatter9718
      @techlivesmatter9718  5 років тому +4

      Keith Kohl this I can answer from experience. Robots, PLCs, PCs, and other devices require constant power in order to attain its documents, programs, and settings as well. When it comes to robots, they should always have a proper shut down and must have the batteries ready at hand. Now this is also why it is very important for you to always have the robot back in to home position during a maintenance or major shut down in the facility because if it runs out of batteries and it’s been off for a good while it will lose its original 0 homing program position. If let off for a longer time than the software will be lost. It’s a lot like computers truly. When the PC has low CMOS energy, then the BIOs settings will change and you can lose some programs/information.

      Paresh yes, there is a section within the controller teach pendant that shows the ladder logic that is used to activate the servo drivers... everything that involves electronics will have some form of logic if you really think about. Nothing can perform without conditions.
